You need to maintain weight according to the BMI standard for your height and age, stop midnight snacking as it just worsens your weight problem and cholesterol problem. The various precautions include :No smoking, regular exercise: 75 minutes intensive or 150 minutes moderate exercise each week, don’t grow obese, or lose weight if overweight, if diabetic, strict diabetes control, strict blood pressure control, use platelet aggregation inhibitor drugs e.g. Aspirin
