No, 2nd delivery can be normal unless there was anatomical reason in the pelvic bone which does not seem to be the case. Reason for operation this time was mouth of uterus not opening + less amniotic. The doctor will have to monitor her all through 1st stage of labor from starting labor pains till delivery to avoid risk of stitches getting broken (very rare these days) or distrss to baby. But it will take up to 12 hours like for 1st normal delivery. Do give a gap of at least 1 year for 2nd child...more

In a multiple gestation pregnancy, the cause of polyhydramnios usually is twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. Maternal causes include cardiac problems, kidney problems, and maternal diabetes mellitus, which causes fetal hyperglycemia and resulting polyuria (fetal urine is a major source of amniotic fluid).

We won't be able to increase the amniotic fluids but we have to keep a watch on any kind of foetal distress and plan for an early delivery

Hello,
It depends if the twins are mono-chorionic mono -amniotic or not. If not then they may not have same amniotic bag.

There is no way by which amniotic fluid can be increased at 38 weeks pregnancy. Maximum you can do is to get the scan repeated from another sonologist which your doctor has not suggested. If your report remains the same cesarean section should be done as baby's cord can get compressed during natural birth.

Get pul ct angio to detect pul embolism. Ch pul embolism can cause pul hypertension and exertional breathlessness. Really not good condition. Needs all reports for advice. Better consult a pulmonologist.

When pregnancy occurs along with the baby, a structure named placenta is formed. This placenta is the one which forms the amniotic fluid. The baby passes urine which also maintains the amniotic fluid volume. So if the amniotic fluid is reduced it means there could be a problem with the placental function or baby's kidneys or both. Anomaly scan determines structure of a baby and its organs, even if it is normal it cannot say anything about function.
