Amblyopia or Lazy eye is the eye condition in which vision is reduced and cannot be corrected with glasses or contact lenses. All the images seen by the amblyopic eye are not fully acknowledged by the brain. It always affects only one eye, but may be accompanied with reduction of vision in both eyes. Your refractive error can be cured total quality of vision can't be improved. If you have squint due to it then it can be corrected by surgery (for cosmetic purposes).

Hello lybrate-user. Sorry about your eye trouble. Amblyopia/ lazy eye develops during the initial years of one's life (2 to 12 years of age). As you would probably know, there are multiple reasons associated with it. Let me enumerate them in brief:

There is currently no treatment for optic atrophy.
If one eye has optic atrophy and you still have double vision then it is called uniocular diplopia and the problem could be in your cornea/lens or you could have increased intraocular pressure. Get your eye checked by a reputed qualified eye doctor and when you go for a checkup carry all the medicines you are currently on.
