Hello thanks for the query.
From the details given it is clear that your tgl and vldl both are high. But lipids are quite fine. Usually now a days unless tgl go very high fibrates are hardly used. Since you have been prescribed the same along with rosuvastatin, please continue the same for a few months and check lipids after 6 months or so. You have only mentioned the tsh level, there is no info on t3 & t4. Thanks.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. Madam please understand the condition hypothyroidism is because your thyroid gland is not able to produce necessary quantity of hormone (thyroxine), which is absolutely essential for majority of metabolic functions in the body as well as normal functioning of brain. In that situation only method of treatment is to supplement required amount of t4 (as levothyroxine in tablet form), then only the tsh level is maintained ...more

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
The increase in anti tpo (trans per oxidase) antibodies, suggests that there is an autoimmune process activated which is the cause of hypothyroidism. This condition is known as hashimoto's thyroiditis. There is no direct treatment for the increased antibodies number. Hypothyroidism has to be treated with adequate dosage of levothyroxine, which probably you are doing. It is necessary to maintain tsh around 3 to 4 mu/l. Sometimes taking selenium containi...more

Hypothyroidism is a hormone (thyroxine) deficiency disorder, where person's thyroid gland is unable to produce adequate amounts of thyroxine (t4) and triiodothyronine (t3). Both these hormones are required for most of the metabolic functions in the body and also for normal functioning of brain. Therefore, that hormone needs to be supplemented from outside and that too for lifetime. There is no cure. However, if adequate dosage of thyroxine is taken the person remains ab...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
To diagnose sub-clinical or overt hypothyroidism it is necessary to look at mainly tsh and along with that t3 & t4 levels. Since you have not mentioned tsh level at all it is difficult to comment. Plus if you have been advised to take 75 mcg levothyroxine means you must have had overt hypothyroidism. Since the information is scanty no further comments can be made. Thanks.
