The new dog in the home is causing my eyes a lot pain, burning and itching. I also feel lightheaded and dizzy and sometimes have difficulty breathing. The dog was removed for 3 days and after steam cleaning all the symptoms went away. The dog is back and so are my symptoms. Allergy blood tests show i'm not allergic <0.10. However I am allergic to oak tree 3.48 and ragweed 2.83, I live in orlando, so lots of oak. My partner thinks i'm lying since my eyes aren't red. It's caused much stress and will most likely end my 6 year relationship, over a dog. I don't know what else to do besides remove the dog. It's happened before in other homes where I lived with cats and dogs, on rare occasions it's so bad I fall to the floor and crawl outside for air, similar to asthma I think, which I was tested for and again negative. I've also had reactions like this to strong odors like perfume, certain cleaning products and freshly applied ceiling texture. My extremities will go tingly then numb, feels like my blood pressure suddenly drops and then for a brief moment I can't breath, that's when I drop to the floor. It takes about 20-60 minutes to recover from one of these attacks, it really takes the wind out of me. Could I have allergy like symptoms to irritants? If so then is removing the dog the only option? I've tried allergy medication, so many different kinds of pills, sprays, drops, prescription strength meds, nothing works except pataday helps with the eye burn but the skin around the eyes still hurts.

Complaint appears to be related to sensitivity to sunlight like ultra violet rays or possibly polyfibre or synthetic clothes causing reaction due to combination of sun rays and sweat. Soothing talcum powder or lactocalamine lotion application and wearing pure cotton clothes may help. If no relief consult skin specialist. Complaints are not related to thyroid gland.

You can continue. Do this 1. Do saline gargles daily.
2. Whenever possible do steam inhalation also.
3. Cover your nose and mouth with hanky for at least 30 sec when you go in dusty areas also when you go in and out of ac. As our nose is the most sensitive part of our body, when there is temperature difference between two rooms or inside n outside, then if we not protect our nose, it gets affected.
4. Drink hot liquids --hot liquids relieve nasal congestion, prevent dehydration, and ...more
