Hyperflaten lung, repeated pft normal (82%), taking foracort 200 rotacap 2 capsule morning and night .doctor said reduced does in next visit .hospital outdoor is closed for lockdown and covid for 4 month. Currently getting dry mouth, throat,strong carving fot something may be side effect. No cough, no breathing problem. Can I reduce dose? If yes, how much?

Hello doctor. My father is 77 years old and has been diagnosed with ild recently. All needed blood test /scan/xray were done and all his vitals are normal n stable. However he is no oral medication and has only on and off cough and breathlessness during the early mornings and Dr. Has prescribed him to have nebulization of duolin+budecort once a day at night or as needed. Our concern is nebulization be the only way out to treat his ild going forward or is there any other way out to handle this. It depends on the type of ILD.

Nebulisation is not the main kine of treatment.
It is only supportive.

Depending on the type of ILD He needs to be started on tablets depending on IPF/NSIP Pattern and cause for ILD.
Oral tablets are the mainstay of treatment.

Hi ma'am, I am 23 years old and I recently had my x-ray. The doctor said that it's thickening or lungs scarring at the lower part of the right lung. Ma'am, I had pleural effusion twice once in 2013 and another one in 2015. I have the issue with my full expansion of right lung. I consulted a few allopathic doctors and they prescribed me with few inhalers. But that could not really cure my fully lung expansion problem. Ma'am, soon I have consulted to a homeopathic consultant. I am having better result with the homeopathic medicine. Ma'am, he was telling. Don't worry. Lungs scarring will go away. Ma'am, will the scarring go away in few days? How long do I have to take the medicine?

Hello doctor, hope you are doing well! I am writing to seek your help and consultation in my grandmother’s case. She has been admitted to a hospital in bathinda for treatment on 15th february 2020 right after she collapsed. After consultation with 3 different doctors, we are transferring her from one hospital to another. First doctor told us that she has fluid in her lungs and she needs oxygen, so he referred her to a private hospital to put her on ventilator. She was on ventilator for 2 days, then after ct scan that doctor referred her to another doctor who is a lungs specialist. He removed her from ventilation and put her in icu. While she was in icu, she had paralysis attack at night on 17th february 2020. Doctors told us that situation is under control, but she does’t look fine. They are feeding her through pipe. The doctors in bathinda shifted her to the normal ward and last night she had great difficulty in breathing. We live in malout (punjab) and I believe that frequent travelling is causing her harm. I really trust the doctors in pgimr and I just need your opinion on the reports we have, as we believe that we are being misled.
