Hi, your acute pancreatitis has probably become chronic pancreatitis with calcification. Show to a gastroenterologist, get a mrcp of the pancreas done and then maybe if any stone or stricture is present it can be treated. Do not ignore the episodesof pain.

The goals of medical management are to provide aggressive supportive care, to decrease inflammation, to limit infection or superinfection, and to identify and treat complications as appropriate.
Autoimmune pancreatitis is a rare condition. Corticosteroids should ...more

Most cases of acute pancreatitis are closely linked to gallstones or to alcohol consumption, although the exact cause isn't always clear.
Less common causes of acute pancreatitis include:
Accidental damage or injury to the pancreas – for example, during a procedure to remove gallstones or examine the pancreas
Certain types of medication, such as some antibiotics or chemotherapy medication – acute pancreatitis can be an unexpected side effect of these in a small number of people

Try and get your pancreatitis under control and monitor frequently so that you don't go in to chronic pancreatitis. Patients with family history of diabetes and sever pancreatitis are more likely to develop diabetes early.

H2 blockers and ppis are widely used world wide for prompt relief and is good for short duration. Regimen being given for years together also do not cure permanently, rather cause side effects (of grave concern also). However exceptions are there. On the other hand ayurvedic herbals cure, heal, improves permanently but may be unpalatable, slow in action because no chemicals are used. Some very good classic combos are available but some details are required for choosing the medicine of choice acc...more

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Some people may form one large stone, whereas others may have hundreds of tiny stones. Most commonly, gallstones are 5–10 mm in diameter. Most people with gallstones do not experience any symptoms. If symptoms are present, the most common early sign of gallstones is upper abdominal pain.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Doctors may recommend surgery for people with chronic pancreatitis when the organ can't drain pancreatic fluids properly due to tissue scarring. Your surgeon can create a new duct, or passageway, to allow the fluid to drain and reduce inflammation. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advice and healthy lifestyle.

Pancreas are a small, but a pretty important part of a person s digestive system. So when it needs to be removed, the reason has got to be quite serious, to say the least, doesn t it?
