It can definitely b treated.Rubbing and scrubbing should be avoided. Do not use any form of wax, creams, blades on it. Do not rub lemon, garlic or any other caustic agent on it. what you can do is use an oatmeal scrub which you can prepare at home using some oat flakes n honey. This vil help reduce the pores and moisturise your skin. Do this twice daily and a month later you can top up this method with some medication which vil bring significant changes.

Hello,
You can't prevent keratosis pilaris, but you can keep your skin moist to lessen its effects.
Some simple things can help keep your skin comfortable:
Don't scratch at the bumps or rub your skin roughly.
Use warm water rather than hot for bathing and showering.
Limit your time in the water.
Try soap that has added oil or fat.
Use thick moisturizers generously on the skin.
Add moisture to the air in your home with a humidifier.
Use only cot...more

which may cause, eczema, dermatitis with itching or no itching.
I, being a homoeo- path, can suggest homoeo-medicine for your present trouble. If u, so require. Homoeopathy can make a difference. Of course.
