Everything in life has effects and potential side effects. If one thinks of only side effects then one misses effects too.
Doctor prescribing compares both and then decides to prescribe.

I suffer from irregular periods and the last time I had a period was on august. I had sex for the first time (protected) on 23/12 and took ipill for reassurance. I started bleeding on 30/12 that lasted for 6 days and felt like a normal period with mild bleeding on 1st&2nd day, heavy bleeding on 3rd&4th and little bleeding on 5th&6th day. I again took ipill on 16/01 after protected sex for reassurance (as we thought the condom had slipped out and I didn't wanna take any chance cause it was my ovulation time period but I believe the ipill was unnecessary and the condom was still intact) and started bleeding from 23/01 which again felt like a normal period. 1st day=light spotting, 2nd=mild bleeding, 3rd=heavy bleeding, 4th&5th=mild bleeding with constant passing of blood clots from 2nd day. Before both the periods my discharge had changed to more white thick creamy texture. I show no signs of pregnancy and everything is normal. This heavy bleeding with blood clots rule out any sign of pregnancy right? Should I be concern? When should I be expecting my next period (considering I suffer from irregular periods)?

After taking the high hormonal emergency pill one gets withdrawal bleeding 5 to 10 days later, and then a new cycle starts.- new counting.
Presence of withdrawal bleeding means no pregnancy by sex prior to it.

It differs so with such treatment usually serial sonography is done to look for ovulation.
Understand and accept increased risk to both mother and baby because of age.
As it is better to have early pregnancy meet infertility specialist and discuss ivf-icsi.
