To correct your constipation you must increase fibre in your diet by consuming a lot of leafy vegetables and salads. Seeds like flax seeds and pumpkin seeds are rich in fibre too. Increase your water intake to 3 litres per day, drink a glass of warm milk with 1 tsp ghee in it before going to bed. I have digestion problem since 2011-12 I tried many ways but non of them worked. It's a seasonal circle kinda problem sometimes I have acidity and gas sometimes it's gas and constipation etc combinations. I even tried naturopathy also. Please suggest.

Hi lybreate user, there are many causes for acidity, constipation & gases but agnimandya or digestive impairment is one of the major cause for that. To increase digestive capability you need to follow some dietary advice & medicines. Do not teat bakery products, fermented foods like idli-dosa, junk-fast food. Also avoid horse gram, oily, spicy, fried food. Avoid drinking water immediately after meal, instead drink water 45 minutes after meal. Avoid day sleeping, do not eat food while you are not hungry. Include more dietary fibres in your diet- vegetables, salad etc. You can try taking gandharva haritaki churna 4 to 5 gm with warm water in night. For better guidance & medications you can consult privately.

Yes it can be piles. Are you constipated?1. Take home cooked, fresh light food. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 2. Increase the fibre in your diet 3. Increase your fluid intake 4. Avoiding straining and constipation which is the most useful thing patients can do to prevent the problem coming back. 5. Maintain active life style6. Curd is good for u. 7. Do this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U can eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. Take simple food like rice n dal in dinner. 6. Maintain active life style7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. It contains a lot of fiber which will help reduce tendency for constipation 9. Drink lot of water. 10. Everyday preferably sleep on same time 11. Take half cup of cold milk when you feel acidity, it will help. Curd is good for u. 12. If its very severe then elevate your bed raising the head of your bed six to eight inches can help gravity keep gastric acid down in your stomach. Acidity is the result of the formation of abnormally high levels of gastric juices in the stomach. The secretion of gastric juices also leads to a common condition known as heartburn.

Symptoms:

  • Burning sensation or pain in the stomach
  • Sourness in the mouth
  • Heartburn
  • Dyspepsia 

Suggestions:

Take meals at fixed hrs, chew food properly/ completely, no eating quickly 4. Take a small amount of food at a time, take more frequent meals - may be five times a day. 5. No spicy/ fried/ fast/ junk/processed food. Caffeine, mints or mint-flavored foods, pungent, sour things, tomato-based foods. 6. No smoking, chewing gum, and carbonated beverages. 6. No milk for a few days can take curd, no uncooked salad 7. Avoid constipation 8. Use nibupani (lemon water) 2/ 3 times a day 9. Do not drink/ store water in plastic bottles. 10 .relax and walk for 30 minutes daily 11. Take enough rest- do not lie down immediately after eating. Take dinner 3 hrs before sleeping. No late nights 11. Keep your weight under control. 13. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol 15. Reduce physical and mental stress. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Do exercise regularly. 16. Hi sir, my age is 29 years, male hight is 5.6 & weight is 80 kgs I am suffering from gastritis, stomach bloating, burning in stomach ,gas, mild constipation & weakness in body. The above problem repeating 2 to 3 time in a year. I am using allopathy but problem not solving permanently. Pls suggest permanent solution for above problems as well as weight loss. My haemoglobin level also low as 11%.how to increase this one?
