According to research published in the journal Gastroenterology, making that choice could be simplified with a diagnostic test called manometry that measures the performance of the lower esophageal sphincter, or LES.

Hi, poem is a relatively new procedure which involves cutting one layer of the muscular coat of the esophagus so as to relive the pressure at the junction between the food pipe and stomach when food passes down. Since this is a newer procedure, skills and results are variable.
