You can use cold compress ( use ice cubes in a plastic bag and apply over the painful area. Do elevate the legs ( use pillows under the leg with good support to the knee joints ) and take sufficient rest. Go back to the doctor for further treatment. You can use 4 pills of Arnica 30 every Day 2-3 times ( it's a Homeopathic medicine ).

Your symptoms suggest coccydynia.(inflammation of coccyx) or coccyx fracture.
Try:
1. Sitz bath (A tub of hot water with dettol in which affected are has to be dipped in- 10 mins twice daily) for 10 days.
2. Medications like Enzomac, Tendocare and Ceftum will help.
3. Sit on a soft pillow or coccydynia pillow.
Even if it's a fracture coccyx, it needs no operation. Best managed conservatively.

Hi there I would suggest you to go to an orthopedic doctor just in case if there can be a hairline fracture or muscle injury as you r having difficulty in walking. And yes you can use hot water fermentation at home or applying cold pack several times its day would be more beneficial till 48 hours after injury.

You need to improve the tone of the muscles in a rhythmical manner. If you do that with proper diet restriction nothing will happen to you.
