Dear Sir, I am 43 years male I did my teeth root canal in a government hospital and its was on my upper jaw teeth 5 and doctor said I have to come back after 15 days and I visited the hospital today and they took the x ray today and given me the date of November to put crown. My root canal treatment done on 21st Jan of one teeth and now after 11 months they will put crown my question is that is that safe if I wait till november or I have to put crown from any private hospital.

Please go ahead and get a crown at the earliest. Post RCT treatment the tooth is brittle and does not have a nutrient supply owing to which it is likely to crack, post which the whole purpose of getting a root canal procedure is lost. If your tooth cracks depending on the extent of breakage you might be asked to get the tooth extracted. Also you need to check if a core build up has been done prior to getting a crown fixed. Make sure your crown is at least porcelain with metal (with full porcelain coverage) and not a metal or partial porcelain crown.

Hello. Sir mere teeth yellow hain. Main kaise inhe white karu. Please give any tube, paste something. Which helps to get whitening teeth. Please suggest me something treatment or natural way. For whitening teeth.

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Cause of discoloration ? Smoking, coffee, tea, drugs, aging, staining food (wine, blueberry, etc) genetics. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations to decide upon treatment. You may need deep cleaning along with whitening (bleaching) procedures and / or artificial enamel filling. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Use Snowdent tooth paste for whitening until then. Apply SNOWDENT paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min .Then brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight for better results. DENTAL TIPS: - Visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. HOME BLEACH FOR THE TEETH Here is home remedy for brighter teeth--- mix several teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse, so as to avoid the acid effecting enamel. If you are using just water you can leave it on for up to 3 minutes. For faster result you can go for teeth bleaching from dentist.

Sir I may feel tenderness or pain when eating or drinking something hot, cold or sweet Grey, brown or black spots appearing on my teeth. Bad breath. Also An unpleasant taste in mouth. Sir what is the solution?

BDS
Dentist, Bangalore
you got decay on tooth.. you have to go for filling of decayed tooth from dentist soon.. Bad breath can be reduced or prevented if you: - practice good oral hygiene. - Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove food debris and plaque. - Don't forget to brush the tongue, too. - Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months or after an illness. - Use floss or an interdental cleaner to remove food particles and plaque between teeth once a day. - See your dentist regularly -- at least twice a year. He or she will conduct an oral exam and professional teeth cleaning and will be able to detect and treat periodontal disease, dry mouth, or other problems that may be the cause of bad mouth odor. - Drink lots of water. This will keep your mouth moist. - Chewing gum (preferably sugarless) stimulates the production of saliva, which helps wash away food particles and bacteria.

Yellow plaque is due to food getting trapped in the tooth crevices and later getting calcified. It can be removed and prevented by regular rinsing after meals. For faster result you can use a mouthwash and an effective toothpaste.
