To maintain the skin health and reduce the dry skin condition, follow this - 1.Bathe with gentle soaps. If possible use some natural ingredients like gramflour, turmeric mixed with some milk to bathe daily. This does not wash your skin off the natural oils. 2.Keep your bath short and do not use hot water to bathe. Use only lukewarm water. 3.Apply Vitamin E oil or warm olive oil on the body after bathing. You can also use a good moisturiser. 4.Cocoa butter mixed with wheat germ oil is also very good at maintaining the skin health. 5.You can mix some oils like – Sesame, olive, virgin coconut oil, wheat germ oil to apply before going to bed. 6.Consume diet that is rich in vitamin E, omega 3 and 6 and other skin friendly vitamins like vitamin E and A. Eat almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds, sesame seeds to maintain skin health. 7.Keep yourself hydrated. Drink atleast 8-10 glasses of water to keep your skin soft and supple.

Hello. Yes its curable. Pores are essential for our skin. They help the skin to remain hydrated and allow it to breathe. They are responsible for the elimination of the toxins from the body. Sometimes, these pores expand due to clogging and dilation. People with oily skin have more open pores than other. They are mostly present in the nose where oil glands are present. People with oily skin are more vulnerable to open pores. To get a flawless and healthy skin, it is vital to prevent Insufficient washing of the face and leaving makeup on before going to sleep can result in open pores. Not protecting the skin from the sun exposure can also lead to the enlarged pores. Constant sun exposure damages the collagen present in the skin. It reduces the skin elasticity that increases the pore size. The opening of pores by cleansing, toning and moisturizing the skin. Tips = 1. Keeping your skin clean and moisturized is the only way to clean open pores permanently. To get rid of the big pores here are few tips that will help you seal the big pores. 2. Ice has a skin tightening effect that makes it a simple and effective home remedy. Before applying makeup, you can use it to minimise the enlarged pores. It also improves circulation and helps you in getting a healthier skin. Just wrap few ice cubes in a clean washcloth and put it on your skin for about 15-30 seconds. Repeat this few times daily. You can also wash your face with cold water once a day. 3. Rose water and Cucumber juice - Add few drops of rose water in cucumber juice and dab it on your face. Wash your face after 15-20 minutes. The silica in cucumber improves the texture of the skin and gives you a fair complexion. This will also lessen your open pores. For good result consult me. Take care.

Pimple are natural part of growing up age. All you need to do it to keep your face clean, best is to wash it many times with soap and water and take steam twice a day. About hair fall, it may be sometimes a symptom of thyroid disease. Please get a blood test done for thyroid function.

My Lips are big and black please help me to reduce the size of lips and its paining to.
Dark lips are caused by: Smoking Hyper pigmentation due to sunlight ( U/V rays) Lack of Proper Skin Care Allergic reactions are caused by dyes or fragrances in the products Caffeine Please try these tips: Apply a lip balm with sunscreen in it. This will prevent your lips from drying, cracking or changing colour. Cover your face with a scarf when exposed to the sun. Do not bite your lips. Drink plenty of water and eat fruits and vegetables at least 4 servings in a day. Eat sour fruits like lemon and oranges which are rich in Vitamin C. Apply honey overnight and keep it until morning. Do it for 2 weeks and you will notice the softening and change in lip colour. Try applying a mixture of milk cream (malai) with a bit of saffron to your lips.

Hello With all its moisturizing action, aloe vera is one of the most effective skin soothing agents. When you rub the gel over an itchy spot, it helps reduce the skin irritation in that area and provides quick relief from itching. Just break a leaf from the plant, cut it lengthwise using a knife and using a spoon, scoop out the jelly-like substance inside. Apply a little of this gel to the itchy area and leave it on for a few minutes.

I had lump on 6th of Aug Upto negative on 16 Sept Usg reveals left ovarian hypoechoic cyst measuring about 5 cm with increased endometrial thickness Dr. prescribed duphaston for three days And advice to repeat upto after few days Is it a pregnancy or a delayed period because of ovarian cyst.

Increased and continuous production of oestrogens causes endometrial hyperplasia. And sudden stoppage of oestrogen formation & release caused endometrial shedding resulting into menses. After ovulation, if pregnancy does not occur, there is sudden decrease in synthesis & release of oestrogens and progesterone which causes menses. If pregnancy is settles, progesterone continues to be made by chorionic membranes and pregnancy is maintained by progesterone. In your case, ovarian tissue has overgrown as cyst and there is no ovulation, no progesterone but only continuous synthesis and release of oestrogen hormone with or without enhanced androgen production. So it is a delayed period because of ovarian cyst. You should take 5-6 course of contraceptive pills to regularize menses and prevent endometrial hyperplasia which may predispose to endometrial carcinoma. As follicle (containing egg) in the ovary progresses, it makes some progesterone as well which prevents growth of other follicles and other ovarian tissue as well. After ovulation (spillage of egg from follicle and from ovary in fimbria of fallopian tube, the remaining follicle starts making progesterone in higher amounts.

Laser Skin Resurfacing Treatments

Hello, I’m Dr. Shaurya Rohatgi, practicing dermatologist in Mumbai. Today I will be talking about the various indications of laser treatment in dermatology.

One of the most common indications of laser is for the treatment of acne scars. Acne is a very common problem faced by most teenagers, and even adults up till the age of 30. Acne can sometimes leave behind marks and scars which can have a detrimental effect on a person’s confidence and self-esteem. There are many ways to treat acne scars, but the most effective way is fractional carbon dioxide laser resurfacing. Nothing comes close to this mode of treatment when we talk about acne scars. A few sittings of carbon dioxide laser resurfacing can give phenomenal results in the appearance of the acne scars. Carbon dioxide laser can also improve the pores and oiliness of the skin.

In addition, it can also be used for reversing the effects of age on the face, that is, as an anti-aging treatment. Other methods are also available to treat acne scars, such as chemical peels or micro needling with derma pen or derma roller. Chemical peel is a time-tested and well-established mode of treatment for active acne, pigmentation left behind by heled pimples and to some extent, acne scars. It can also improve your skin tone and effects of sun damage on the skin.

Excessive or unwanted hair is a very common problem faced by both men and women in today’s time, and they don’t want to waste time in shaving or waxing. This brings me to the second most common indication for laser, that is, hair reduction. We have a laser called diode laser, which is the most advanced technology for laser hair reduction. This laser can reduce excess or unwanted hair on any part of the body. This procedure requires no anesthetic, is absolutely painless, and has no downtime. Lasers can also be used for tattoo removal. A Yag laser is the latest technology by which we can remove tattoos of any size or color on any part of the body. This procedure requires no anesthesia, and has no risk of ugly scars following surgical tattoo removal.
