If cough is persistent for more than 15 days. He needs to be investigated by a competent PEDIATRICIAN. Please do not give any cough syrup. Instead you can give honey twice a day. It must be kept in mind that most cough are viral in nature thus self limiting and do not require any antibiotics or antitussive. However a child with cough persistent for more than 2 weeks with or without fever need to be examined.

Hi. My 4 year daughter got sudden pain in right knee resultantly could not walk properly since two days before. could u tell me reasons and remedy?

DMB
Pediatrician, Chennai
Sudden pain in a child without fever can be either a joint problem or a bone problem. Children fall and can have small fractures which can cause her to limp. A joint swelling can mean blood in her joints which will settle after a few weeks. If she is not walking, she needs to be seen by a doctor and may need an xray. It is also important to give her vit d supplements. Budecort inhalation does not cause bone softening, but oral steroids can and should be avoided as a long term treatment

The most effective way to stimulate lactation is continuing breast feeding. The more the child suck at breast more is the milk production. Some natural lactagogues like methi. Jeera. Rai etc they are found to be effective. Some drugs are also effective.

It's due to nld block, we used to say naasoor in local language. It's because a nasolacrimal duct might be blocked or narrow or underdeveloped. You can consult eye specialist to learn how to do nld massage. Antibiotics eye drops will help temporarily. If problem persist, nld probing or syringing would be the final treatment after 12 months of age. Best wishes.

Dear, You are very sensible to mention the baby weight because it’s very important to prescribe any medication. Next important thing is that are you feeding the baby while lying down. Please make sure that one must not feed babies at night while lying down. One must sit and feed the baby and tap baby back till baby burps and then make them lie down to sleep. The medication you using currently doesn’t have antibiotic in it. Sup moxclav bd 1.5 ml twice daily Sup ascoril flu 1.5 ml twice daily Nasivion mini nasal drops two drops twice daily These medication will help you for sure and if you are not comfortable using the prescription I advised please visit your Pediatritian to discuss the treatment and start it. Get well soon.
