Dear sir, the most common cause of the pain you have described is osteoarthritis of the knee and in the back of the facet joint. Traditional treatment plans often fail to provide adequate pain relief and analgesic medications work only temporarily. As recovery is a complex issue including interventional pain management, exercises and medications, I would need to examine you personally to comment. For the time being I suggest that she start regular warm-up exercises and walking atleast half an hour daily. Regards,

Dear, Your pain is suggestive of the partial collapse of L1 vertebrae. You could try rest and analgesic tablets like Zerodol 100mg BD*10 days after food. If you are prone to gastritis then add Tab. Rantac 150mg BD. If that fails, I offer such patients Radio frequency ablation of the medial branches supplying that facet joint and if necessary Vertebroplasty, would give immediate relief. The cost of Vertebroplasty using the Confidence System would be approximately ?. 100000.00.

Give the shoulder a few days rest. If pain persists try simple analgesics for 3 days. If pain relief is not adequate you may have to visit your local orthopaedic specialist and get the shoulder examined.

The treatment is dependent on the extent of injury, the sequelae, treatment received so far etc. If the patient is quadriplegic, you could ask the neurologist if something can be done, if the patient is in pain or has some muscle spasm you could consider botox or radio frequency ablation of affected nerves.

The back comprises bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons and disks. Disks are the cartilage-like pads that act as cushions between the segments of your spine. Back pain can arise from problems with any of these component parts. In a few cases specific reason may not be there. T occurs mostly due to trying to move your body suddenly when your body is in an awkward position lifting heavy weights. Back muscles and joint ligaments being strained. Since you have back for 6 month, detail check up is always good.
