Mr. P lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. It is not clear what you are actually referring to by saying. When I am trying to sleep my nerves in head are beating and unable to sleep" Because nerves do not beat. What you saying may be related to some feeling of pulsation. This kind of a feeling may be there if your BP is high. Please tell me if you have hypertension and are you on treatment for that? If yes, what is the BP level now and the drugs with dosage. About the "motion problem" Due to diabetes some times there may be constipation as well as loose motions on some occasion. Please see that you take enough liquids every day. Plus consume a good deal of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits (permitted. Ones, 100 g a day) that to with well controlled blood glucose. Ideally when in control fasting glucose should be <100 mg, PP 160 to 180 mg & HbA1c% <7. For reducing constipation drink a glass of hot water every morning after you are up in the morning. That will help in clear motion. Thanks.

Hello Doctor My father is a diabetic patient and he has Average Blood Glucose [ABG] 278. Under such circumstances he is trying to reduce ABG as much as possible. Currently he is taking ayurvedic medicines, now he is planning to take medicines like carom seeds, Aloe Vera juice etc. .Kindly suggest me whether he can take these medicines along with ayurvedic medicines, if yes any possibility of side effects. Try to control the diabetes with allopathic agent alone, you can use the other system of medicine but main should be allopathic agent and blood glucose level need to be managed on tight rule basis, other system of medicine could give false sensation of security.

gfr 53 is low, means kidneys are affected due to long term diabetes. Apart from gliclazide what other medications are you taking? how are sugar levelsand hba1c%. If diabetes is in check nephropathy can also be controlled. Do you have high blood pressure, if so what are the drugs for that? few precautions restrict salt intake and do not eat more proteins. Please inform me otherdetails.

Hi lybrate-user gastritis home remedies: ginger: has long been used as an aid for stomach upset. Its juice can be diluted with water and honey and consumed (slightly warm) if you have indigestion. Most of the causes of indigestion, such as nausea, upset stomach and giddiness often tend to make you feel sick and unhealthy. Ginger acts as one of the most incredible and useful indigestion home remedies. Those people who experience nausea and vomiting will greatly benefit from using ginger. Nausea caused due to pregnancy, motion sickness, indigestion, or as a result of anaesthesia or chemotherapy can be corrected by using ginger. For those of you, who cannot consume raw ginger, try a ginger pickle, or diluted ginger juice. Ginger capsules are available and can be used effectively for combating nausea and indigestion. Peppermint: herb teas made from peppermint leaves are very helpful in combating acidity gas and bloatedness. Just dip the tea bag in hot water and sip it after meals. Peppermint oil contains menthol, which has beneficial effects on the intestines. You can buy peppermint capsules, which are available in health food stores all over the world. Peppermint oil is widely used in aromatherapy and serves as an indigestion treatment. It can be topically applied to the stomach in combination with coconut oil. Curd: if your indigestion is due to lack of friendly bacteria then having a bowl of curd a day will help you to restore the lost bacteria. Lactobacillus acidophilus, a strain of bacteria existing in curds helps to replace the gut flora and helps improve digestion, hence acting as one of the best indigestion treatment. Aloe vera: this plant is known for its medicinal properties. It helps solve the whole range of digestive problems. Take one tablespoon of fresh aloe vera juice on an empty stomach in the morning and again at bed time. In order to extract fresh juice, just tear open the aloe vera leaf and scrape off the sticky juice with a spoon into a cup. Drink it fresh twice a day. It helps correct acidity, constipation, heartburn, gas and also helps spot the causes of indigestion. It is an excellent remedy for dry skin. These indigestion home remedies are usually effective if combined with correct eating habits, avoiding stimulants like tobacco and caffeine, regularly exercising, maintaining a positive outlook and keeping regular hours of sleep. Remember that a holistic approach to health will help you to solve most problems with greater ease. The best of the indigestion home remedies have proved amazing for many people suffering from digestion problems. A well-planned diet, healthy eating habits and good sleep will make your mind and body fresh, thus helping your digestive system work well.

Dear excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, It can put a person at risk of thyroid disease, diabetes , kidney problems, arthritis etc... Dear to decrease weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach daily. 3. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 4. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 5. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 5 min per asana. 6. Do brisk walk early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 7. Hi that's right as per your height you are overweight and there are specific actions needed for weight loss since the margin to work on is quite a lot. 1. Make your self more active - walk whenever possible/ use staircase / walk & talk 2. Eat small frequent meals 3. Limit processed foods like wafers, biscuits, cakes etc 4. Limit fat intake 5. Add 4 - 5 portions of veggies & fruits for each day 6. Drink lots of water - around 10 - 12 glasses of water/day

Hye, try to exercise at a time that is convenient for you. Avoid exercise on empty stomach, stay hydrated throughout. Keep an electrolytic drink like lime juice to sip on during workout. Avoid working out in excessive sunlight especially in the afternoons. Also weight loss is not dependent on time of the day. Your daily intake and output determines that.

there is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. i will give you a general approach to try for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If not enough then consult. 1. do not eat anything sugary or sweet. 2. eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner 3. do atleast 30 min of exercise every day of any kind

Hi, weight-loss is a gradual process. It is only the by product of leading a healthy lifestyle. Honestly you wont be able to lose 10kgs in a month and it is also not good to do so. Below are some tips to get you started on the weight-loss journey. 1. Never eat a snack out of a carton or a cover. Always use a cup or a plate to so you know how much you are eating. 2. Have atleast one bright colored fruit and one bright colored vegetable a day 3. Take a small snack box to office with almonds, walnuts and other dry fruits to satisfy your cravings 4. Try to have your dinner by 8 so that you are not too hungry and also make healthy choices at dinner. 5. People who eat breakfast have a better success rate at losing weight. 6. Beware of zero trans fat and fat free foods as you might end up eating high sugar and carb containing foods. 7. People who are emotional eaters learn to identify the emotion that makes you eat unhealthy food and try diverting your mind to something else you love 8. If your plates are too big trade them off for a 9 inch plates 9. Replace your weighing scale with a tape measure. 10. Stop eating. You will lose fast. But it is not correct. Fast is not advisable. Eat lots of salads vegetables soups and buttermilk. Avoid ghee oils fried butter makhan cheese papad milk peas potatoes rice and sugar. Drink lots of water. Jogging daily is a must.

Ok. First as you play games so that you should take extra care of your health. Many reasons are there for lower hemoglobin level. The main cause is nutrient deficiency like folic acid, iron, vit c and b12.(1) take iron rich foods like tofu, lentil, spinach, dates, almond, liver, red meat, shrimp, fortified breakfast cereals, oyester etc. You can take also a iron supplement.(2) take citrus foods as it helped in iron absorption (3) take folic acid rich foods like green leafy vegetables, sprouts, wheat germ, peanut, banana, broccoli, liver, rice, dried beans etc. Also you can take supplement.(3) beetroot is known for increase hemoglobin level. It is rich in iron, folic acid as well as vitamin, minerals.(4) apple also helps to maintain normal hemoglobin level. It is rich in iron and many other healthy nutrients. And to weight gain (1) don't drink water before and during meals (2) do yoga and free hand exercise (3) add cream with your tea/coffee (4) eat more foods (5) use bigger plate (6) drink milk (7) use weight gainer shake (8) 2-3 banana each day (9) take dry fruits more (10) take quality sleep.

The first thing you have to do is to develop a positive attitude towards your goal. You need to understand that transforming your physique is going to take a lot of time. These things don't work that easily. It's going to take a lot of hard work and consistency 1.Start exercising. Start working out if you are not active. Begin with body weight exercises like push up, pull up and squats. Weight training proves to be really helpful if you want to gain good quality weight. Train each body part twice a week. For example: Monday/Thursday: Chest + Triceps Tuesday/Friday: Back + Biceps Wednesday/Saturday: Legs + Shoulders Don't forget to warm up for at least 10 - 15 minutes. Warm up includes jumping, rope skipping, treadmill, cycling, stair climbing, etc. 2.Eat Healthy. Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food and any form of sugar. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 2 - 3 hours. Some of the recommended food items are boiled chicken and eggs, brown rice, brown bread, peanut butter, olive oil (extra virgin), green tea, dry fruits etc. 3.Consume good amount of fruits and vegetables. Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. 4.Eat whole grains. Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats are best sources of healthy carbohydrates but do not include these items in your dinner. 5.Increase protein intake. Protein proves to be the most essential nutrient when it comes down to gaining strength or building muscle. Therefore, consume all types of protein from both veg and non veg food items. Boiled chicken and eggs are the best sources of fat free protein. Sprouts are also rich in protein. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain.
