Hello you should go a eye check up again because there might be any change your number. Wash your eyes with clean water twice daily and instill 2 drops of CmD2 eye drop in each eye twice daily. DO the below given exercises to strengthen your eye muscles;- 1. Palm your eyes:-Sit comfortably in a chair. Rub your hands together until they feel warm. Close your eyes and cover them lightly with your cupped palms. Avoid applying pressure to your eyeballs.Make sure no light can enter your eyes though gaps between your fingers Take deep breaths slowly and evenly while thinking of a calming scene, like an empty beach, a clear lake, or a still mountain. Once you see nothing but blackness, remove your palms from your eyes. Repeat the palming for 3 minutes or more. 2. Massage your eyes. This will help to improve blood circulation around your eyes and face. **Add salmon, eggs , dark choclates, apricots, spinach, carrots, soy to your diet.**

Why I have a red eyes? Why I get this frequently? What is the reason? What should I do? I don't want answer.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
Eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: • Eye dryness • Too much sun exposure • Dust or other particles in the eye • Allergies • Infection • Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. These may be due to: • Blepharitis: Swelling along the edge of the eyelid. • Conjunctivitis: Swelling or infection of the clear tissue that lines the eyelids and covers the surface of the eye (the conjunctiva). This is often referred to as "pink eye." • Corneal ulcers: Sores on the cornea most often caused by a serious bacterial or viral infection. • Uveitis: Inflammation of the uvea, which includes the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. The cause is most often not known. It may be related to an autoimmune disorder, infection, or exposure to toxins. The type of uveitis that causes the worst red eye is called iritis, in which only the iris is inflamed. Other potential causes of eye redness include: • Colds or allergies . • Acute glaucoma: A sudden increase in eye pressure that is extremely painful and causes serious visual problems. This is a medical emergency. The more common form of glaucoma is chronic and gradual. • Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. So,visit a local eyespecialist. The diagnosis of your problem in eyes can only be made by local examination of eyes

Any activity that requires intense use of the eyes -- such as extended amounts of driving or reading -- can cause eye fatigue. These include extended periods of: reading writing driving exposure to bright light or straining to see in dim light can also cause eye fatigue. One of the most common causes of eye fatigue is staring for long periods at digital devices such as: computer screens smartphones video games during sleep, the eyes are replenished with essential nutrients. Lack of sleep may result in persistent eye irritation. Prevention of eye fatigue usually eye fatigue can be prevented or reduced by making simple changes in your work habits or environment. Make changes to your computer screen, such as: place the screen 20-26 inches away from your eyes and a little below eye level. Regularly clean off dust and fingerprints from the screen. Smudges on the screen can reduce contrast and increase problems with glare and reflections. Choose screens that tilt and swivel. Consider using a glare filter over your screen. Make changes to your work environment, such as: change lighting to reduce glare and harsh reflections. Use an adjustable chair. Place a document holder next to your computer screen. Make changes to your work habits, such as: try the 20-20-20 rule. Every 20 minutes, look away about 20 feet in front of you for 20 seconds. Blink frequently to avoid dryness in eyes. Take regular breaks from computer work. Take care of your eyes with these steps: apply a washcloth soaked in warm water to tired, dry eyes (with eyes closed). Use artificial tears to refresh your eyes when they feel dry. To help prevent dry eyes while working indoors, use an air cleaner to filter dust and a humidifier to add moisture to the air. Management: give sufficient rest to your eyes with proper sleep. Keep yourself hydrated with intake of 10-12 glasses of water in a day. Eat healthy especially vitamin a rich food (green vegetables, carrots, yellow fruits and vegetables) and avoid junk food. Hold tap water in your flexed palm, dip your one eye closer to the water level, shut and open your eyelids often. Do the same with your other eye. Repeat this whole process 1-2 times more in a day. Give your eyes proper rest. Can keep slices of cucumber or potato or used tea bags over the closed eyes for sometime. Medication: instill 2 drops of euphrasia eye drops in each eye twice daily. (also, need to rule out any underlying medical condition which may be the causative factor, so share more details).

Hi Doctor, today accidentally drops of hot sambar splashed on my left eye. It fell on eye lid and bit on eye ball also. Eye lid is quite swollen and feeling bit uncomfortable. I am bit worried. What should I do?

FICO, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Gandhinagar
Hi lybrate-user. Sorry about your eye trouble. You should immediately have washed your eyes with clean water and clean hands. Washing should have been continued for minimum 15 minutes. Should be done gently. Now that already some time has passed since the accident happened, it would be a good idea to use lubricant eye drops frequently (eg. Systane ultra eye drops every hour) use the eye drops for minimum 7 days. Along with these, use an antibiotic eye drops 4 times in the day (eg. Toba eye drops) use these for minimum 7 days. Also take analgesic anti-inflammatory oral tablets for relief to your discomfort. In case, the discomfort persists without showing any improvement in your symptoms, you should visit a cornea specialist by tomorrow. In that way, any other intervention, if required would be done promptly. Also, let me know if it is possible to have a look at your eye using the facility offered by lybrate. If yes, then I would be able to assess the severity of the injury in a better manner and help you further more. Hope my suggestions helped you. Take care-regards.

What to do to control the over sleeping? Its too difficult to stop swallowing eyes?

BHMS
Homeopath, Raebareli
Lack of sleep and disturbed sleep are two of the main reasons behind daytime sleepiness. Hence, setting a proper sleeping schedule is one of the best ways to prevent daytime drowsiness. Proper sleep will even help fight low energy, fatigue, depression and stress. Different people need different amounts of sleep to function well, however an average of 7 to 8 hours of sound sleep is enough to help your body function properly. To help enjoy sound sleep: Maintain a sleep schedule that has a consistent bedtime and wake time. Keep your bedroom completely dark to promote restful sleep. If needed, use shades or blinds to block out any exterior light. Invest in a good quality mattress, comforter and pillows to improve your sleep quality. Read a book or do some relaxing yoga stretches for about 20 minutes before going to bed. Limit your screen time staring at computers, TVs or phones in the evening before going to bed. 2. Splash Cold Water on your Face Whenever you feel drowsy, splash some cold water on your face. The sudden change in temperature helps dispel that sleepy feeling and improve your energy level as well as mental focus. After splashing your face with cold water, stand in front of the cold draft from an air conditioner to make this water therapy even more effective. You can even take a cool shower in the morning to help drive out sleepiness and also improve your blood circulation. For further queries get back to me.

How to deal with eye squint in adults? Are there any eye exercises or squint surgery is the only option?

BHMS
Homeopath, Faridabad
Hi, squints in adults can be treated using several methods, including: eye muscle exercises glasses containing prisms eye muscle surgery muscle exercises can be helpful in treating a form of squints in adults in which the eyes cannot align themselves for close work or reading. However, eye muscle exercises are rarely useful in other cases of squints in adults. Eye glasses with prisms can correct mild double vision associated with squints in adults. The prisms can be worn on the outside of the eye glass frames or can be manufactured directly into the lens itself. Prism eye glasses usually cannot correct more severe cases of double vision where images are far apart or double vision caused by weak or tight muscles. Eye muscle surgery is the most common treatment for squints. Typically, squints occur when the muscles surrounding the eyes are either too stiff or too weak. Squint surgery is usually performed on an outpatient basis using general or local anesthesia. You can often return to your normal activities within a few days. More than one surgery may be needed to treat this condition depending on the severity of the case. Consult an opthalmologist (eye specialist) for detailed information.
