Hi Doctor, I am working with a PST time Login I.e 9 PM-6 AM, Daily it is a Night Shift, so will Night shift effect on sex organ?

MD-Ayurveda, Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
Sexologist, Haldwani
Hello- Night shift will surely affect your sexual health in a bad way. It accelerates the wear and tear of the genital organs hence making them weak. It also result in sleep deprivation, which is a major cause behind Erectile dysfunction and loss of libido. It can be prevented by the help of herbal aphrodisiac supplements and careful schedule corrections to cope up with your night shift, thus makes its effect almost neutral.

I have problem with my prostate. I am facing problem with my urine. I have take many treatment with doctors but no relief.

MBBS, MD - Internal Medicine
Internal Medicine Specialist, Faridabad
Prostatitis treatments vary depending on the underlying cause. They can include: Antibiotics. This is the most commonly prescribed treatment for prostatitis. Your doctor will base the choice of medication on the type of bacteria that may be causing your infection. If you have severe symptoms, you may need intravenous (IV) antibiotics. You'll likely need to take oral antibiotics for four to six weeks but may need longer treatment for chronic or recurring prostatitis. Alpha blockers. These medications help relax the bladder neck and the muscle fibers where your prostate joins your bladder. This treatment may lessen symptoms, such as painful urination. Anti-inflammatory agents. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may make you more comfortable. Prostate massage. This is done by your physician using a lubricated, gloved finger — a procedure similar to a digital rectal exam. It may provide some symptom relief, but doctors disagree about how effective it is. Other treatments. Other potential treatments for prostatitis are being studied. These treatments include heat therapy with a microwave device and drugs based on certain plant extracts

My penis is slightly bent towards right. Is there any way that I could make it straight. I have benn masturbating daily from last 5 years some times once in two days I'm having some pe issue.

BASM, MD, MS (Counseling & Psychotherapy), MSc - Psychology, Certificate in Clinical psychology of children and Young People, Certificate in Psychological First Aid, Certificate in Positive Psychology
Psychologist, Palakkad
Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Penis curved towards right or left or downward is always normal and this can be seen with majority of people. This mostly happen due to masturbation. People who use right hand for masturbation, their penis will be curved to the left and the opposite with left handlers. There are other reasons too. This phenomenon is quite normal and there is nothing to worry. In fact, curved penis will give you more pleasure when you engage in vaginal intercourse than straight penis simply because curvature provides more friction. Enjoy your curve. I suggest online sex education. Take care.

Men who have early sexual experiences in their life may suffer from premature ejaculation later in their life. When a man does first intercourse he wants to show his ability and does not have any interest in making it a pleasurable act. This becomes a habit and leads to premature ejaculation. There are some men who suffer from anxiety while doing the sexual act with their partner. They do not want to show their anxiety in front of their partner and it results in premature ejaculation. They do not concentrate on the act rather they feel anxious when they come in contact with the female partner. Sometime premature ejaculation may be associated with erectile dysfunction. Sometimes men remain in a hurry to obtain strong and full erection and this causes premature ejaculation. Imbalance of the hormones may be responsible for causing premature ejaculation in men. Insufficient secretion of serotonin may also lead to premature ejaculation thyroid disorders may also be associated with imbalance of the hormones which may cause premature ejaculation men who take narcotics or other suppressing drugs may also suffer from premature ejaculation. I am a higher secondary student. I am being tired very early in the evening. Hence I sleep quickly. But I can't woke up early in the morning. Please. Help. Me. Because. My. Exam. Is. After. Two. Months. only.

PDDM, MHA, MBBS
General Physician, Nashik
There is no pill for this but you can follow these tips which can be helpful: •Drink lots of water. At night, as you study, keep water at hand and sip it regularly. •Avoid tea and coffee. Yes caffeine will wake you up and give you a buzz right away. But once the effect wears off; you will feel even more tired and sleepy than you were before. This happens because these drinks dehydrate you. •Have a balanced diet: Eat a heavy and healthy breakfast but have a light dinner. If you feel hungry at night, eat fruits, dry fruits, and salads only. Avoid junk food. •Take a 20-30 minute nap during the day. This shall help you to concentrate better. •As you study, whenever you feel tired or sleepy or even stressed, take a minute to practice yoga- breathing exercises. Concentrating on your breath can help bring more oxygen to the brain which will in turn wake the body up and help clear your mind to study better. All the best!:)
