Advice. Avoid sitting cross legged. Avoid squatting- quadriceps exercises- lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core strengthening exercise- straight leg raised with toes turned outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. Repeat 10 times, twice a day. Sports taping- stretch the tape from both ends and apply on the affected area.

Quad Clenches: Lie flat on your back or sit upright on a chair with leg kept horizontally on another surface. Now, tighten the muscle on the front of the thigh by pushing your knee down. You should feel your thigh muscles clench, Hold for 3 secs. Repeat 10 times twice a day. Short Arcs: Lie flat on your back or sit upright with your leg placed horizontally on a flat surface like a chair or bed. Place a rolled up towel under the knee. Pull your toes towards you and clench you thigh muscles. Slowly lift your foot up off the bed until your knee is straight (keep your knee resting on the towel). Hold for 3 secs and slowly lower them on the chair. Repeat 10 times twice a day.

For pain take tablet paracetamol 650 mg and will require calcium supplements and Few diet tips - Not to eat fried food items and Can eat All green vegetables, moong , chana , Dal , rice etc And to apply ghee over chappati and don’t apply oil over chappati And to drink milk mixed with turmeric powder twice a day And If possible eat eggs on alternate days And If possible in breakfast eat atleast one bajra ka rotla And Eat seasonal fruit

My mother is sick of knee pain from last 2 years. Doctors had prescribed us for knee replacement. Can we have alternate solutions for this ? Please reply.

Does her back of the knee touches the bed when she is lying straight on the bed?what did the x ray showed? surely there are cure in physiotherapy but the protocol depends upon the grade of osteoarthosis

This condition is called as Sandhi Vata in Ayurveda. It may be due to many reasons like your work, Obesity, your food habits etc. The synovial fluid which is present in between joints when reduce then this type of condition is occurs. I am 62, male, vegetarian, 5'3, no sugar or bp, manageable asthma, 57 kg. Left heel pains after getting up in the morning and every time I start walking after sitting for half-an-hour or so. The pain goes off after some walk. Advise please.

I am suffering from Knee pain from past 1 year and I have consulted to many doctors also but there is no relief. Doctors have suggested me many tests like MRI, anti ccp etc.In MRI scan, its shown that there is little fluid in knee. Every time I go to doctors and they suggest me new tests but I have not got any relief yet. Kindly suggest me what to do.

That's the simple exercise which will help you to strengthen the knee Ice therapy would definitely help to reduce the inflammation. We also advise you to use knee cap which would help to prevent the knee from damaging further and also to maintain the quadriceps muscle tone. Knee pain more than 2 weeks:if your knee is paining since 2 weeks, then you have to rethink whether you had any injury in the previous years. As arthritis is very common if anyone would've neglected any injury in the previous years. You can take Ultrasonic therapy in one of the nearby physiotherapy clinics which would help to heal the damaged cartilages along with shortwave diathermy which would help to improve the blood circulation.
