Tongue cleaning is as important as brushing and flossing. Use of a proper tongue scraper every morning will remove tongue plaque and freshen your breath.

Hello mix 2 teaspoons of baking soda with enough fresh lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Wipe your teeth and any extra saliva off of them with a paper towel. Put a good amount of paste onto your toothbrush and apply. Leave the paste on for 1 minute, then rinse. Do this 15 days n report.

Hi doctor I have a problem that during sleep my saliva get accumulated in my mouth. It means at wakeup my buccal cavity is full of saliva what should I do? Is it is a problem. How can I get rid of it?

BDS, Master of Hospital Administration
Dentist, Patna
You can ask your dentist or physician for some anti salivation drugs. Or you can go for bananas with milk in the night. Be sure to have constipation if you try to stop the salivation by medicine. You may also feel dry mouth.

I faced with several injury on a upper limp of mouth! My skin bulged? Do you have any remedy for my problem?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Sir please visit a dentist. You need an examination of the area. If there is no cut or other injury and just swelling then most probably it will become alright with medication.

Dear lybrate-user, bad smell from mouth have different causative factors like smelly food (garlic, onion), decay in teeth, infection in gums or even problems with stomach and lungs can also contribute to bad smell. One of the reason is not drinking water regularly i. E. Dry mouth too. Try to find out the reason and it is recommended that once in six months you get professional cleaning done.

I got teeth sensitivity during the drinking the water around 2 months. I have already use sensodyne tooth pase, Surya dant manjan etc. but not get any relief so kindly provide suggestion.

Dea, There are many reasons for someone to develop sensitivity. 1. if you have tooth decay/ cavities in your mouth 2. developing tooth decay near the gum line. Since you see no decay on top of the tooth, you might not be aware a cavity exists, but it can create tiny holes near the gum in front or the back of the tooth. 3.Highly acidic foods can also give you tooth sensitivity. If you eat a lot of citrus fruits, tomatoes and other foods with high acid content, they could be wearing away at the enamel of your teeth, causing sensitivity to the dentin. In such cases no tooth paste/ mouthwash works. So, first get your oral health check up done which is advisable after every 6 months. If you have cavities get it filled. Continue to follow a good brushing and flossing routine to maintain the good health of your teeth. Use a soft bristle brush and brush gently Thank you!! Regards For further enquires or t/t email us cosmodontist@gmail.com Keep smiling;)

I always feel smell in my mouth, although I brush my teeth twice a day and using top brands like colgate, pepsodent, please advise

Get the cleaning done from dentist because one of the most common reason for bad smell is deposits of tartar or plaques around the teeth. By cleaning it will be removed.
