Rest is top priority ice compress is better for your total neck to shoulder region take ust for 15 days and tens for 10 days swimming is better for you lie without pillow need not worry it will be cured.

Mri is cotraindicated in case of any appliance which creates elctro magnetic field, like pacemaker pt. But stent is not created electro magnetic field. It is not required for your case, unnecessary you are doing mri. Ct scan will be sufficent to diagnose your disease.

Please take a glass of milk daily. Also take a glass full of mixed fruit juice. Do morning exercises. For pain in legs take mag phos 6x - twice daily. For cough and cold take bryonia 200 - once daily for next 3 days.

I understand your pain. Nowadays back pain is a very common complaint in young adults. So donot worry. It can be due to various reasons. Many of the problem occurs for which we are not aware. If possible please visit our physio department and take some pain relieving modalities. Once pain will reduce you can start exercises which will make you fit and away from all pain. As an advice: apply ice or heat which ever suits you directly to the area of low back pain will decrease swelling and inflammation, and ease your discomfort. Apply it for 10 to 15 minutes only thrice a day. Below is some precautions you can take: precautions: 1. Avoid forward bending, if required then bend your knees first and then bend forward. 2. Avoid weight lifting. 3. Sit in chairs or car seats with proper back support. 4. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back like sidelying. 5. Get enough vit d from sun as vit d keep bones strong including spine, 6. Drink plenty of water to enhance the inter vertebral disks 7. Avoid standing in the one position for a long time. 8. Try to sleep in a position that helps you maintain the curve in your back. 9. Regular habit of meditations is necessary to fit healthy. Hope this answer your question. Get well soon.

Hello, if your sleep is lacking then you may suffer from bodyache, fatigue and pains. So take a sound sleep of 8 hours. Take Kali phos 6x, 5 tabs twice daily and five phos 6x, 5 tabs twice daily. Revert me after 1 week.

I am 50 years old man. Since last 3 years when summer starts, I feel lazy and my muscles in the leg & thighs starts paining. The pain increases as the day passes & decreases gradually in afternoon & I feel comfortable in the evening. But during rainy & winter I don't feel any pain. Hamstring Stretch Lie on your back with your left leg flat on the floor. Loop a towel or rope around your right foot and pull your leg as far as comfortable toward your chest, while keeping a slight bend at the knee. Keep your back pressed to the floor throughout the stretch. Hold for 10 to 30 seconds and then release. Repeat 3 or 4 times with each leg. Do this stretch 5 or 6 times a week. Short-Arc Knee Extensions In the same starting position as the straight-leg raises, put a ball (about the size of a basketball) under your left knee so that your leg is bent. Slowly straighten your leg. Hold, then slowly lower. Repeat with your right leg. Exercises To Avoid A few of the following exercises can be done safely if you have chronic knee problems; they're on this list because they're more likely to be done improperly. The exercises above are safer, while still giving you similar results. •Full-arc knee extensions •Lunges •Deep squats •Hurdler's stretches.

Take Kalmia 30 one dose and then Cosmos 30 3 doses 3 times a day for a month. Let me know the results. As for the precautions, your diet should contain less amounts of carbs and even lower fats. You can reduce some quantity of fats that you consume. Also, drink more milk and other milk products for calcium and Vit. D.

My mother is troubling by back pain. She used lot of medicine but nothing happened. What she do now?

Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. You have mentioned backache as your mother's problem. We expect at this age that spine will have certain degenerative changes. If there is only localized backache with no other associated symptoms like radiating leg pain, numbness, paresthesias etc, and no systemic symptoms like fever, loss of appetite, loss of weight etc, my advice to her for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - to maintain proper posture while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or even tab paracetamol which suits you - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied 3-4 times in a day - analgesic spray for local application like dynapar qps spray can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc if there is no improvement in 2-3 weeks with this conservative management, we will need to evaluate her further in form of dynamic x rays to look for any instability as a cause for pain and some blood investigations to rule out any deficiencies etc. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

My arms and thighs got numb more often when I was asleep. Once I have checked my blood pressure as well but it was all normal. I am confuse now. Because this happens now more frequently.

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls spine. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

For leg pain try this. Identify the dipping portion on the back of your knee folding. Press this dip with both middle fingers and hold your knee with your thumbs for support. Please swing 20 times morning and evenings. This will relieve your problem.

Identify the mid point between the ankle bone and tendons and give pressure with a blunt edge on either side of your foot for 2 minutes. Also give pressure in the web between 2nd and 3rd finger from your toe for 2 minutes. Finally give a good massage for both feet in hot water. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. I want to know your detailed clinical history as to what do you actually mean by stretching of nerves, is it back pain or something else that you want to describe? also as you are very young, my advice to you will be to start with some intensive physical therapy sessions with a good physiotherapist, take a short course of ant-inflammatory medication which suits you for 5-7 days, maintain proper posture while working and at home, avoid putting too much stresses on your affected shoulder and lower back region till the time you are pain free and start 2-3 km of daily morning brisk walks. Also attach your relevant investigations, your treatment records till now. It helps me to better understand your condition and prescribe accordingly. If you have localized back pain with no other symptoms like radiating leg pain, neurological symptoms like numbness, weakness, paresthesias etc, then you can start with following recommendations for initial period of 2-3 weeks: - to maintain proper posture of your back while working and sleeping - if pain is more then you can take a short course of an anti-inflammatory medication like tab etoshine or paracetamol or one which suits you - physical therapy initially under supervision of a trained physiotherapist and then to continue at home - adequate calcium & vitamin d intake if levels are low in body - ice packs can applied if your pain is acute, then hot fomentation can be done at home - analgesic spray for local application can be used and is easily available. - avoid lifting heavyweight/ acute forward bending in mornings etc we will observe you for next 2-3 weeks how you respond to this conservative management protocol. If you are not feeling better, then we will have to get some investigations like, dynamic x rays of lower back and few blood tests for evaluation.
