Dear lybrate user, cholesterol is naturally produced inside the body of every living animal. Human beings are no exception to that. But when we take mutton, chicken, yellow part of a boiled egg, ghee, butter etc we intake cholesterol from external source. This extra cholesterol from external sources increase the total cholesterol content of human body. You should always keep your cholesterol level within normal limits as high cholesterol serves as a precursor to various cardiac diseases. Avoid the aforesaid food. Walk at least 1 hour in a day without any interval. Also you can take homoeopathic mother tincture fucus vesiculosus q, 30 drops, thrice daily, after meals, in a cup of water.

Hello if triglycerides levels are too high around 2030 mg /dl, can we use tablets fenolip 145 and rosuvas 40 mg without any multivitamin tablets? Earlier when the triglyceride levels are high we used rozavel f along with dettol-d. Now can we use omega 3 fatty acid tablets along with these statins and fibrate tablets? Pl let me know.

This high triglyceride requires aggressive measures for control and also to find out the cause of such high levels, whether there is any genetic predisposition to it. Secondly, in this case please do not self treat yourself, it will be best if you consult a cardiologist for detailed evaluation and also for guiding and monitoring your medical treatment. Treatment for sure will require starting with two lipid control drugs and if required addition of more. You should also follow all lifestyle measures rigorously like - 1) daily 40 mins of brisk walking or exercising 2) Diet change (take a detail diet consult for the same) 3) Quit smoking and drinking 4) Decrease consumption of sugar and sugary foods.

My father us around 67 and he has slight bp. But now its in control as he use bp tablet. But for the past few weeks he is facing breathing problem and he is unable to sleep at night. I know he is more worried about family. He always thinks about family. Please suggest me what shall I do. Which method will make him relief from that problem. Can you suggest any medicen please

Hello sir, the complaint mentioned by you is age and familial related one. But still you need to see a respiratory physicain. If he gives clearence and still the problem persists then consult psychiatrist.

There is may be costochondritis ( inflammation of ribe joint with central bone ) . You may also check for heart pain ( angina ) by doing a treadmill test and a full cardiology check up

It will not be possible to comment on the ECG, without looking at the graph and knowing your symptoms and history. But what you can do is consult a cardiologist near you with this ECG graph and your symptoms and follow their advice.

High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation,yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods,oily foods,junk foods,alcohol,smoking,fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress,take plenty of water in day time. And 1 glass of water before bed at night. use flax oil, omega-3 fatty meal or cap., take .green veg., whole grain. Garlic,. Cod liver oil. Take anti cholesterol medicines .

When standing or walking my blood pressure goes down. If I sit down or lie down blood presssure recovers and comes back to normal. How to remedy this situation?

This is called orthostatic low bp//hypotension. Common in old age//with some medicines and hypovolemia. R you taking medicine for bp or enlarged prostate? meanwhile while getting up from bed -rest on bed few minutes in sitting position this will prevent low bp. Take adequate food--liquids.

Lower your cholesterol when you snack and keep your blood sugar stable with this spread

Ingredients:
2 cups of leftover beans or lentils
1 stalk of a green onion: finely chopped
2 stalks of celery: finely chopped
Some parsley: finely chopped
1 tbs lemon juice
Sea salt to taste
1/4 cup roasted sesame seeds (or any other seed)

Method:
1.) make sure the beans do not have too much water (so if it is a dal, keep some water to blend since we are making a paste.

2.) you can use a fork to mash the ingredients together or put it in a blender to mix it well.

3.) use it on breads or rotis or crackers
