5 great tips for getting rid of winter phlegm

We all hate having snotty noses, sore throats, and winter bugs that inevitably get into our systems, as the weather turns colder, but have you ever considered that there might be easy ways to clear up all the phlegm that’s obstructing your airways and making life uncomfortable? worry no more – here are five solutions for you to get rid of any offending mucus build-up in your airways as soon as possible:

 

1. Spice up your diet

 

Adding spices to your diet doesn’t only boost your immune system – it also helps your body with clearing out all the nasty stuff, not least any congestion in your nasal passages in your lungs. Add small amounts of garlic, oregano, turmeric, onions, and ginger, to your regular diet. Seeing as christmas is just around the corner, you can also try spicing some apple sauce with cloves, nutmeg or cinnamon.

All the foods i’ve just mentioned contain strong antibacterial properties, which help keep the winter bugs well away. If you have children, you might want to consider temporarily cutting out dairy from their diet and giving them multivitamins or immune boosters for a few days until the phlegm clears up.

2. Sleep well

 

Note that a blocked nose is always much worse at night-time, making it difficult to breathe and causing you to snore. Consider a saline spray and/or nose aspirators in order to keep your airways clear of phlegm. Another soothing way of clearing your airways is to inhale steam from a bowl of boiling water. You could even add a warm bath at the end of the day to your routine if you find that you’re consistently congested.

 

3. Get loads of fresh air

 

The colder air of the winter months tends to make all of us spend a lot more time indoors, but the reality is that for the sake of our health, we still need to ensure we get enough fresh air. Regardless of how cold it is outside, you’ll be fine if you wrap up in suitably warm clothing. In fact, taking a brisk walk is one of the best ways of drying out mucus and phlegm.

Fresh air opens up your lungs and increases blood flow, and this means that any bugs lurking in your system can be flushed out much more quickly than if you were to spend nine hours a day indoors.

4. Keep your bowels moving!

 

Many people don’t actually realize this, but constipation can hinder your immune function, thus leaving you more susceptible to illness. The usual cause of a sluggish digestive system is food stagnating in the intestines, which in turn can lead to toxic build-up, poor elimination and increased mucus formation.

These symptoms can be alleviated by drinking more water and eating foods which contain plenty of natural fiber, such as seasonal greens and fresh fruit.

 

 

5. Make your own phlegm-busting cordial

 

Here's how:

1. Place a few sprigs of thyme in a teapot.

2. Add a pint of boiling water.

3. Throw in a few sticks of cinnamon bark and several slices of freshly-chopped ginger.

4. Leave to infuse for about 10-15 minutes.

5. Once the water has cooled, strain and mix with a jar of good-quality honey.

6. Add roughly half a bag of brown sugar.

7. Heat the mixture in a saucepan until it begins to thicken.

8. Leave the resulting syrup to cool and store in the refrigerator.

Take a teaspoon of this syrup every morning, or add it to warm water infused with lemon juice for a delicious bedtime drink.

Hello. According to your height and weight your BMI is underweight so, increase your weight approximately 15 to 20 kg for normal BMI. Homoeopathic cream ANTIMARKS CREAM ( BIOVALLEY) Apply twice daily in circular fashion Lemon Juice A quick and easy solution is lemon juice. Lemons have vitamin C that can lighten dark pigment spots on your face. It’s easy to apply. 1. Put some fresh lemon juice on a cotton ball and rub it directly on the affected skin area. 2. Allow it to dry and then wash it off with plain water. 3. Continue applying this dark spot removal home remedy for at least two weeks to get the desired result. If you have delicate or sensitive skin, you can dilute the lemon juice with plain water, rosewater, or honey. You can also use lime juice to get rid of black spots, applying it in the same manner as described above. 2. Buttermilk Buttermilk is also beneficial in getting rid of dark pigment spots. Like lemon juice, it also helps fade blemishes and black spots but without causing burning sensation. 1. Take four teaspoons of buttermilk. 2. Add two teaspoons of fresh tomato juice. 3. Mix the two ingredients (both have excellent bleaching properties) and then apply. 4. Wash it off after 15 minutes. The lactic acid in milk too, will gradually reduce skin pigmentation, and brighten and tone your overall skin complexion. So, if you do not have buttermilk, simply apply soak a cotton ball in milk and dab it directly on your spots. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and then wash it off Put milk on a cotton ball and dab it directly on your spots. Repeat this procedure twice daily for four to five weeks. You can also prepare a solution by mixing milk and honey and apply the solution to your dark spots, leaving it on for 10 minutes. 4. Oats Oatmeal powder is considered good for skin exfoliation. Hence, you can apply an oatmeal mask on your face and neck to remove dead skin and black spots. 1. Grind half a cup of rolled oats. 2. Add three to four tablespoons of lemon juice to make a paste. 3. Scrub it on your skin and wash it off with warm water when it dries. If it becomes messy, use a clean cloth soaked in warm water to remove the mask. Follow this treatment once or twice a week. 4. Almonds 1. Take 8-10 almonds and soak them in milk overnight. 2. Peel off the skin and grind the almonds in the morning. 3. Now, add one teaspoon sandalwood powder and half a teaspoon honey in it. 4. Mix them to make a fine paste. 5. Apply it on your face. 6. Leave it on for about 30 minutes and then wash it off. 5. Sandalwood Sandalwood is another effective option. 1. Make a thick paste of sandalwood powder, glycerin and rose water. (If you don’t have rose water, you can use milk or honey.) 2. Apply the thick paste to the affected skin area, leaving it on for a few minutes. Wash off the paste with lukewarm water. 3. Follow this remedy once daily until your black spots vanish completely. 6. Potato Your vegetable drawer is another source of home remedies for black spots or dark patches. Potatoes can be applied in one of the two ways: • Slice up a potato and place one slice directly on the black spots; leave on for a few minutes and then wash your face with lukewarm water. • You can also make a face mask by combining grated potato with honey.

Mere face par chote chote wart ho gye hai. Lazer se unko burn bhi krba chuka hu pr wo niche se phir se nikal aye hai. Dhire dhire pura face cover karte ja rahe hai. Ek ab 1-2 maine apni body par bhi dekhe hai baise hi wart. Jaise mere face pr hai. Please give me a better suggestion and treatment.

You get high fever and dehydration in heatstroke and it can be accompanied with sever headach vomitings etc you should try to cover your head and body with shades and cotton clothes take painkiller and antipyretic tablets also ng with plenty of liquids orally sometimes you are required to be given intravenous glucose to take care if the dehydration.

Give details about your headche . One sided headache can be due to migraine or due to visual problem too. Give a detailed description of your headache. Some tips to avoid are Avoid watching television for long hours at a stretch . Take breaks in between. Maintain regular sleep wake pattern even on holidays. Avoid alcohol/ smoking/ excess caffeine containing foods.
