I have my front tooth that is a bit outward from the whole jaw line n looks odd when I smile. Is there any other way out than braces ?

Depends, If the other teeth are well aligned, or nearly so, you could use standard removable appliances, or some of the newer aligner systems, e.g. The Inman Aligner. Whether these will work for you, can be assessed only after evaluation. With mild mal alignment, you could also look at restorative options such as veneers, crown etc, which, however, do involve some preparatory cutting of the tooth structure.

I always have some pain in my gums while brushing, sometimes they are bleeding, it is not frequent, I brush my teeth twice a day, please help me.

I always have some pain in my gums while brushing, sometimes they are bleeding, it is not frequent, I brush my teeth ...
Due to food deposit onto tooth surfaces and into the gingiva, gingiva gradually got infection and becomes swollen and inflamed, results in bleeding of gums. First of all undergo scaling (cleaning of teeth) by a dentist - use proper brushing technique. - brush twice a day which is most important (at night specifically just before sleep and avoid any food or liquid except water when you finish your brush at night) - after each meal (i. E breakfast, lunch, dinner and any time when you take snacks) rub your finger on all tooth surfaces inside and outside and than do forcefull gargles 2-3 times.

I have a bridge placed on place of my 5 front smiley teeth. I want to remove bridge and have implants. Is it possible and will the implanted teeth be individual (each one with its own root and separated to the other one)?

I am suffering from white coating in tongue for a month now I tried candid oral paint but it didn't work what could be the possible cause of it. I got this after a course of antibiotics for UTI. After this white coating I've got micro bumps on my lips too. What am I suppose to do to get rip this.

BDS, MDS
Dentist, Gorakhpur
If you clean your tongue regularly, you can see red bleeding areas on tongue surface. If not, it may be something else. Same is true for micro bumps. A clinical visualization and examination of such lesions is must before commenting on diagnosis. Now, best is to visit a specialist dentist in your are. You can contact me personally with quality pictures of tongue and those bumps. THANK YOU.

Hi. I have had the problem of mouth ulcers for a very long time. They are as frequent as every 15 days. I have been taking BIfilac and rebagen twice a day. I shift to betnesol when it gets bad. I understand Betnesol has some sort of a steroid. Im also using a mouth gel. Am I following the right treatment? Do I need to change my medicines?

MDS - Orthodontics, BDS
Dentist, Hyderabad
Repeated ulcers also mean there must be some underlying cause which needs to be diagnosed as far as medicines are concerned, they are right but shd provide relief within a week or two any sharp cusps of broken teeth, fillings etcmight be also the reason, go to dentist once for a thorough check-up.

I am 30 years old male am suffering from mouth ulcers for last 3 weeks. What should I do?

MDS - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
Dentist, Chennai
Eat lot of fruits & green leafy vegetables & drink plenty of water. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need coronoplasty (smoothen teeth edges) along with t. Rebagen 10, morning one tab & one at night for 5 days, c. Becosules 5 cap, for five days in the morning after meals. Hexigel ointment on the area of ulcer. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash after every meals. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.
