Hi drink some bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach each morning. First remove the seeds of two to three bitter gourds and use a juicer to extract the juice. Add some water and then drink it. Follow this treatment daily in the morning for at least two months. Take pranacharya diabeto and shilajeet capsule twice a day with water. Take vasant kusumakar ras twice a day. Avoid sweets. Take small meals in less time interval. Do pranayama early morning. Avoid alcohol consumption.

if thyroid levels are normal after treatment weight gain is usually not because of it. may be due to lack of exercise and faulty diet habits. going to washroom again and again is a sign of urine infection for which u need tests of urine and treatment.

As hba1c is on higher side, it's important to be particular about food choices & timings. Properly follow the do's and don't of a diabetic diet. Avoid sweets & sweetened beverages from diet. Avoid high starchy foods and sweetened fruits & vegetables from diet such as rice, bananas, chickoo, grapes, mango, litchi, potatoes. Include more fiber such as dalia, & whole pulses in diet as they have low glycemic index and helps to control blood glucose levels.

There is no medicine given for controlling blood sugar that raises blood pressure to that level. Check your blood pressure again probably 2 to 3 times a week. If the readings are peristently high then you will need treatment for the same. Meanwhile, reduce salt intake in your diet, have a regular brisk walk for atleast 30 minutes daily and increase your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Diabetic for 20 years. Need remedy either by homeopathy or ayurveda.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
Pediatrician,
Diabetic for 20 years. Need remedy either by homeopathy or ayurveda.
Diabetes affects all organs in the body eyes, kidneys, nerves, reproductive system all are affected, in fact, from toe to hair. For diabetic control, patient and doctor should be n constant touch for regular follow up and advice. It is not as easy task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (self-monitoring of blood glucose smbg). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of fasting sugar (fbs) and 2 hours after food (ppbs) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For sugar control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me privately with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance.

How can we prevent from diabetes?

CCEBDM, Diploma in Diabetology, MBBS
Endocrinologist,
How can we prevent from diabetes?
Mr t2dm can be prevented by following a strict modified life style, like daily exercise for more than 1 h, maintaining weight near normal for the height (ideal body weight = height in centimeters - 100 x 0.9). Then consume required quantity of calories based on ibw and physical activity. Plus avoid smoking and alcohol. In addition no direct sweets and deep fried foods. If this is followed t2dm can be prevented.

I am diabetic 26 years old. Hba1c 7.5 .how long I will use metformin ?will I use it throughout my life?
The treatment of diabetes is not that simple. There are many classes of diabetic drugs. It depends on extent of diabetes and complications to decide medicine for the diabetic person. Dosages are also decided upon depending on your acute and chronic sugar levels, fasting sugar levels, post prandial sugar levels, urine sugar levels, urine microalbumin levels, urea and creatinine levels. So, a complete diabetic profile needs to be done to reach for the best drugs and proper dosages. Here is the list of tests, please get them done and follow up with me. I will do the best and give you a proper treatment. 1. Hba1c. 2. Sugar - fasting and pp. 3. Urine - routine and microscopy. 4. Urine microalbumin. 5. Urea and creatinine. 6. Lipid profile. Follow up with the reports. I will set up a wonderful treatment plan to control your sugar levels. Additionally I will also make a customised dietary plan for you to take care of your sugar levels naturally.

Please tell me what is the treatment for hypothyroid.

MD - Internal Medicine, MBBS
Endocrinologist,
Please tell me what is the treatment for hypothyroid.
in hypothyroid thyroxine medicines used according to level of tsh. antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid alcohl if you take.
