lybrate-user you are suffering with simply with common cold and cough if you have fever with cough more than three weeks. You should take sputum test. Otherwise you take apiece of ginger 10gm. And black pipper 10piece and bassil leaf 10 (tulasi) crush it and boil in 200ml. Water. On remain 100 ml. Cip it sowly slowly like as tea in morn. And even. Avoid cold beverage and dahi chhachh refrigerated food etc.

Hello, asthma is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the airways. Asthma is characterized by recurrent episodes of wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing. Sputum may be produced from the lung by coughing but is often hard to bring up. During recovery from an attack, it may appear pus-like due to high levels of white blood cells called eosinophils. Symptoms are usually worse at night and in the early morning or in response to exercise or cold air. Some people with asthma rarely experience symptoms, usually in response to triggers, whereas others may have marked and persistent symptoms. Asthma is thought to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Medication: bronchitis/ asthma can be treated well with homoeopathic medicines completely, only need to be regular with the medication and avoid those foods/ things to which you are allergic to for sometime. Keep taking your already on going medication, reduce it gradually and slowly once homoeopathic starts acting and there is stability as steroids do have withdrawal effects if stopped abruptly or suddenly. Take bakson's astha-aid drops/ 10-15 drops in 1/2 cup water/ thrice d day for 4 months. Then give me your feedback.

Hi. I understand your concern. You are having asthma. You will need to undergo pulmonary function test. It is needed for the diagnosis as well as to assess the severity of asthma. Based on which you will benefit from inhalers. Consult a pulmonologist for the same. Hope your concern was addressed. Thanks.

What does this mean Volume loss left lower lobe.in the case of pulmonary TB started on ATT from 2 and half month.

MBBS, DNB (Respiratory Diseases)
Pulmonologist, Mumbai
It means that due to ongoing TB inflammation has resulted in reduction of the volume of lower part of left lung. This may recover with treatment, It may not in some cases, only time and response your body to treatment can say that. Please continue taking your treatment without fail. TB can only be cured if treatment is taken properly.

I am suffering from productive coughing medical they gave me lupihist syrup combination of diphenhydramine hydrochloride, ammonium chloride and sodium citrate. Can I take this will it works for me.

General Physician, Gurgaon
Dear Labrate user, you are suffering from productive cough and taking cough syrup given by the chemist. Firstly if this cough is of short duration 3-4 day and not associated with fever and other symptom then it's ok. Otherwise you need thorough checkup.
