Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Kindly take biod3 max 1 tab dailyx10 paracetamol 250mg od & sos x5days do back (spine)/shoulder/knee exercises make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take do not ignore it. It could be beginning of a serious problem. If no relief in 4_5 days, then contact me again.

Correct posture is a simple but very important way to keep the many intricate structures in the back and spine healthy. It is much more than cosmetic - good posture and back support are critical to reducing the incidence and levels of back pain and neck pain. Back support is especially important for patients who spend many hours sitting in an office chair or standing throughout the day.
Not maintaining good posture and adequate back support can add strain to muscles and put stress on the spine. Over time, the stress of poor posture can change the anatomical characteristics of the spine, leading to the possibility of constricted blood vessels and nerves, as well as problems with muscles, discs, and joints. All of these can be major contributors to back and neck pain, as well as headaches, fatigue, and possibly even concerns with major organs and breathing.

I have disc bulge and getting pain in my left leg. I have MRI report my nerve is compressed of left leg.

If it's small disc bulge then it's treated with medication, exercises, physiotherapy. If no much relief then needs epidural steroid injection. Last resort with no improvement then needs discectomy.

Dear, First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket . And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back . you may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * Gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * Surya Namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * In diet vegetable protein of cereal , B complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

It's a part of aging and I will suggest you to eat freshly prepared home made food and avoid pickles and papads in your daily diet and drink a minimum of three litres of water per day and exercise regularly and if you follow this you can avoid osteoarthritis

I'm 17 years now and 11 weeks back I had arthroscopic acl reconstruction using arthrex tight rope and abs button. I've been jogging, cycling and a free more exercises. Could you give me a schedule for what exercises I am allowed to do now and what can I add as time passes. I also play football.

It's good that you're following your doctor's advise on exercises regimen as it is 11 weeks old to strengthen your knee muscles you can walk inside the water pool till your waist level to and fro and zig zag walking and free exercises of flexion and extension exercises on advice of your surgeon operated for about 20 min in alternative days best wishes.

dear user, have you gone for MRI, if not go for mri of LS, you may need to take traction, inferential and ultrasonic therapy if pain is severe and at home you can apply heat fermentation twice day. use LS Belt in day time. correct your posture to avoid pain.

I was diagnosed with bulging disc a year back with pain in the back underneath my thighs and my buttocks and also underneath the knee joint. I took a injection in the spine a month back and now the back pain is gone but still I have a lot pain when I sit (in my left buttock) and also underneath my knee joint of the left leg. Hi lybrate user, I believe you had been given either transforaminal epidural (nerve block) or caudal epidural for disc herniation. Nerve block reduces the inflammation caused by inflammatory chemicals from disc material but it doesn't reduce the disc size or repair it. So we can say i'm acute case nerve block is very helpful but it may not reduce the herniation part. You mentioned pain while sitting on left buttock, it could be due to sacroilitis (sacroiliac joints inflammation, when someone having low back ache it's rare that only one component of spine is responsible for pain, there could be facetal arthritis, sacroilitis, piriformis syndrome, quadratus lumborum syndrome, para spinal muscle spasm gets associated with primary disc herniation pathology or vice versa. So there are multiple components of pain in 1 patient. When you report severe most pain, we try to resolve that pain first, but it doesn't mean all pain can be treated by one injection or tablet. For this constant watch is required. In your case your Dr. Might have given injection for discogenic pain which was primary at that point, now you might have main pain from sacroiliac joints and there might be some other component as well, have a close consultation with one specialist till he gives up on diagnosis or treatment or you are not happy with relief you get.

Hi. taking your age to be 16yrs , as is mentioned in the query, and believing you don't have any congenital problems, i suggest you do simple back exercises to get back to good posture. The reasons could be varied for your problem. One of the main reasons is tightness of your muscles in the leg and loose abdomen muscles.the other reasons can be because of your daily posture that u adapt. So the exercises u could do are: 1. straight leg raise: lie down straight. lift one leg straight without bending the knee and hold for 10 counts. then repeat with the other leg. Do it for 30 times for 3 sets. 2. Trunk rotation: Lie down and bend both your knees. Keep your hand by the side.Rotate your knees to one side and then the other. Do this also for 30 times. 3. Ab curls.: Lie down and bend your knees. cross your hands over your chest and lift your trunk up towards your knees and back. do this also for 30 times for 3 sets. 4. ilio psoas stretch: please check on the net. you will find the procedure to do this stretch.

Your calf muscle may b tight. do stretching exercise. For that u have to learn from good physiotherapist. wear comfortable footwear, I mean which have comfortable sole. For example sports shoes. Avoid prolong standing. Try to do your majority work in sitting position. This problem start with continues pressure on sole muscles. so u have to take couple of more physiotherapy sessions. Back exercises. Many people go to physiotherapists with back pain. Here are two exercises that help to relieve pain and reduce stiffness in the back: •Dear, 1. Lie on your back with both of your legs straight. In this position, bring your left knee up close to your chest. Hold this position for 10 seconds. Return your leg to the straight position. Repeat with the right leg. •2. Stand up with your arms on your side. Bend to the left side while slowly sliding your left hand down your left leg. Come back up slowly and relax. Repeat with the right side of your body.

The best way to prevent back pain and'slipped' (prolapsed) disc is simply to keep active and to exercise regularly. This means general fitness exercise such as walking, running, swimming, etc. There is no firm evidence to say that any particular back strengthening exercises are more useful than simply keeping fit and active. It is also sensible to be back-aware. For example, do not lift objects when you are in an awkward twisting posture.
