Hi Dr. I am 28 years old, I experience itching in my scrotum. My penis size is 4 inches, can I increase it? It looks very small in Normal state. Please suggest me a solution. Thanks.

BHMS
Homeopath,
Hi Dr. I am 28 years old, I experience itching in my scrotum. My penis size is 4 inches, can I increase it? It looks ...
Dear Lybrate User, The size of penis depends on four factors:- 1) HEIGHT OF THE PERSON:- Every organ of a taller person posses greater dimension than those of a shorter person. 2) TESTOSTERONE HORMONE:- Less secretion of this hormone leads to underdevelopment of sexual organs 3) SEXUAL DISEASES:- Patients suffering from Erectile dysfunction often complaints of short penis. 4) FATTY TUMMY:- With every increase of 6 kg in weight, the waistline is increased up to 2 cm. This fatty layer of abdomen conceals 2 cm of the length of penis by surrounding it. The minimum size of an erected penis required for intercourse is 3 inches. A penis is composed of three highly vascular muscles. In normal condition when an individual undergoes sexual arousal blood flow is directed towards those muscles of penis. As a result the muscles of penis gets pumped up & increase in size. This phenomenon is externally manifested as the erection of penis. The plan of action behind increasing the size of penis is to increase the amount of blood flow to those vascular muscles of penis. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body & the muscles of penis are no exception. But it is quite impossible for the vascular muscles of penis to undergo any type of weight-training. Here the PENIS DEVELOPER SET comes in handy. The PENIS DEVELOPER SET helps in pumping blood to those vascular muscles without any type of weight-training. The PENIS DEVELOPER SET creates a partial vacuum around the penis which leads in rushing of blood to the vascular muscles of penis. As a result the vascular muscles of penis gets pumped. Continuous use of the PENIS DEVELOPER SET leads to hypertrophy of the muscles of penis which results in the increase of the size of the muscles of penis and thus the penis looks bigger. There is no specific medicine to increase the size of penis. However, you may have come across a number of gimmicking advertisement of medicines which claim to increase the size of penis. Don’t fall prey for any such advertisement because the penis won’t get bigger unless there is an increase of the size of the underlying vascular muscles of penis. You can buy the vacuum operated PENIS DEVELOPER SET from local medical appliance store or you can order for it online. Use the Penis Developer Set for at least 30 minutes daily. Kindly remember that the penis will not remain erected all time. It will remain contracted & flaccid throughout the day. However, you can observe the increase in the width & length of your penis whenever you undergo erection.

I had smoking habit by four years. How can I stop my smoking. Please consider my problem. My grand father died by smoke I have fear about that.

Masters in Clinical Psychology
Psychologist, Lucknow
Quitting smoking can be very difficult and there is no single best way to quit that works for all people. Some approaches to try that might help you kick the habit include: Pick a quit date one to three weeks in the future. Prepare for the date by cutting down on smoking, staying away from your favorite places to smoke, and making a plan for how you will deal with stressful events without smoking. On your quit date, get rid of all cigarettes, keep busy, and stay in smoke-free places. Talk to your doctor to see if you should try nicotine replacement therapy or if a non-nicotine prescription treatment is right for you. Make a clean break. Do not allow yourself to smoke "now and then." An addiction to nicotine can be reactivated anytime, even years after quitting. Take it one moment, one hour, one day at time. Cravings to smoke are usually short-lived and will go away whether or not you have a cigarette. Get help with quitting if you need it. Choose a comprehensive smoking cessation program that does not rely on a single technique (such as hypnosis). Your doctor can point you in the right direction. Consult me for any query

treatment of pile depends on the severity of the condition . Treatment can be 1.self-care remedies, 2.over-the-counter medications, 3.non-surgical office procedures, 4. surgical treatments. piles can recur after they have been successfully treated—even after surgical removal, so piles treatment also involves prevention strategies like 1.including fiber in your diet 2.drinking a lot of water 3.preventing constipation 4. using stool softner if needed . there are no studies to show that piles cause cancer , but conditions that may cause piles can also cause cancer .Take care .

4 Stubborn Intelligence Myths That Just Won't Die. Know The Facts
'Thought processing' or 'Mentality' is the mental processing of information verbally or visually. It can take many forms such as reasoning, problem-solving, day-dreaming, desiring, fantasizing and so on. There are many false notions about intelligence and our brains that are widely believed to be the truth. Here I am listing a few of those most common myths and what the actual facts are.

Myth #1: People tend to believe that thinking is conditioned by the extent of one's education. Higher education equals better thinking.
Fact: Education does not allow one to think independently. Formal education focuses on analytical and logical thinking abilities. Undoubtedly, logic & analysis help you succeed in life but divergent thinking is what defines one as a creative and original thinker.

Myth #2: People who have never received any sort of education can never be good thinkers.
Fact: People who receive little or no education do not have many references or lessons learnt in school to fall back upon. Their experiences are first-hand. It usually enables them to come up with original solutions to problems.

Myth #3: People with lower IQ (Intelligence Quotient) possess lesser thinking ability and those with higher IQ are better thinkers.
Fact: A higher IQ doesn't always necessarily equals greater thinking ability. Similarly, a lower IQ doesn't always equals lower thinking ability. There are a lot of other factors which play role here.

Myth #4: You are born with abilities to think, take decisions and solve problems. It cannot be acquired.
Fact: Thinking is a skill. And skills can be developed. Thus, thinking can be reinforced by training and practice. Consequently, problem solving, decision-making and creative thinking skills can evolve and improve.

Hello doctor, my wife is a depression patient & she is taking medicine viz. Peri Cr 12.5mg & clonax 0.25mg once a day. Now she is around 12 weeks pregnant. We are worried about, are these medicines safe at this stage for my wife as well as for our baby.

Fellow Observership, Certificate in Forensic Psychology, MD-Psychiatry, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Akola
Hi, good presence of mind to confirm risks of medications! Congratulations! Clonax 0.25mg needs to be immediately stopped as it can be harmful to growing baby. Pari-CR is NOT ENTIRELY safe, but depending upon your wife's symptom improvement & severity of her depressive illness. It can be continued with strict observation like 2 monthly ultrasound & some other blood tests. So contact your Ob/Gynecologist & discuss about these tests & your wife's current condition. Also keep your wife's Psychiatrist informed about her pregnancy & current status as Depression tends to flair up during last 2 months of pregnancy or immediately post delivery. You can also contact me for further help. Good Luck!

What is the importance of red blood cells in human body for the protection of humans from disease.
Red Blood Cells are extremely important in transporting oxygen from the lungs to all parts of the body and carrying carbon dioxide back to the lungs. They contain this substance known as Haemogoblin which makes them red and is oxygen binding.

Most people say that after drinking tea one shouldn't drink water as it effect tooth health. Is it true.
Drinking water after having tea is good for blood circulation. But drink cold water immediately on hot tea causes teeth sensitivity problems and you should avoid that. Wait for 2 5 minutes and then drink water. Or drink water earlier than having tea.

Think of overall health and not just one aspect. Holding on so many myths will only add to your confidence. Reduce the weight (overweight) in a systematic manner . Exercise daily for 1-2 hrs and become fit and healthy. Have a healthy (positive ) attitude. Keep the mind involved in creative mode which will help boost your self esteem. Self commitment to work hard and be disciplined is important. Do not fall for shortcuts.
