I am suffering very bad negative and porny thoughts for my family members from 15 years when I was in class 6 what I do. I went many holy places. Doctors and priest. I can understand your problem and the guilt feeling resulting from it. But do not loose heart. There is a way out. Every problem in this world has a definite solution. Do believe in that. Your negative thought about your own family members is only a learned behavior, and anything learned can be unlearned, if you have a strong will to change. Let me give you 3 practical suggestions. 1. I think you are not married yet, and if I am right, get married as soon as possible. It may bring down your negative thoughts to a substantial extent. 2. Stay away from your home at least for a year (more is better) on grounds of any job or work, in a distant location. 3. Everyday, sit in a quite place with closed eyes, actively imagine that you are interacting with your family members one by one with appropriate relationships, i. E. Behaving a good brother with your sister and a good son with your mother and so on. Follow these suggestions with full confidence you will certainly find a way out. Nothing is impossible. Hope for the best.

I had an severe road accident on 27th February 2016. After the accident I was admitted in the hospital for 8 days. My all wounds were sutured by surgeon. At that time I was not being able to speak at all. My voice was not clear at all. Doctors said I have swelling in my throat as I had deep cut on my neck. Now it's been more than two month and my voice is still not sound proper. I can't speak loud. I can't talk too much. I can't talk on public place as my voice is so soft. Doctors what do I do.

Hi firstly get a flexible laryngoscopy done to look for the condition of your voice box. Depending on that doctor would be able to tell you why your voice has become feeble. No medications will help for this problem. And if you had accident that might have injured tissues in the neck will take sone time for it to heal. Do consult a speech therapist after the ent consultation. Take care.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Memory depends on understanding, retention and recollection. To recollect you need to retain whatever you understand. To retain, you need to understand. To understand you need to find creative reading techniques. Creativity in reading and problem solving. Every fruit, vegetable and pulse and nuts can help you enhance your memory. I suggest online educational counselling. Take care.

I am 25 years old, I am preparing for civil service exams, while studying how should I concentrate for more time?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
This could be quite a challenging exam and you must be well prepared for them. Stress can foil memory and concentration. The distraction it leads to will not allow focus on a particular topic or subject. So locate the stressor and deal with it soon to recover good memory. It will be easier to work with a counselor on the emotions that are causing the stress. Although concentration is different to memory, they can affect each other. In the meantime do some of the following: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, broccoli, blueberries, fish, coconut oil, wheat sprouts, tomatoes, sunflower seeds, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling.

Hello doctor. I suffer from anxiety and get depressed at t times.I get tremors when I am over anxious .And suffer from lot of phobias .Married for 7 years now and working. But I look cheerful .I badly want to get rid of phobias .I am scared to travel specially by air.I have also taken some ayurvedic medicines and counselling to overcome this problem as I was suffering from insomnia .That's helped me a lot.One more thing to mention.I have brittle flat n rough nails n doctor told me that I am allergic to gluten .

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd
Psychologist, Bangalore
The problem of phobia is that it has to do with exaggerating the stimulus i.E. Air travel is quite normal and safe, yet your mind plays tricks with possibilities and probabilities and converts them into realities. You become so convinced that no one can change the fact in your head. Then the fear, not the fact, becomes life-threatening and incapacitates you. You will need, through therapy, to be taken through the motions of whatever it is you are phobic about and de-sensitivize you over a period of time. Since you are saying counseling has helped a lot, do continue in it until it is resolved. In the meantime do regular exercise and build a bigger heart that reacts to fear better than the normal person. The bottom-line of any phobia is abnormal levels of fear based in your past. If the feeling of fear is dealt with, it is sure to speed up your recovery. Regarding the nails, kindly follow your doctor's advice.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, my first point here is do not panic, it is a very normal experience any young male can encounter in this age. The main reasons for one to have these symptoms may be due to the following reasons: 1) Lack of knowledge about sexuality 2) Excessive self monitoring 3) Gulit about sex 4) Any previous negative sexual experience 5) side effects of usage of alcohol, drugs, 6) Life stressors, excessive anxiety, fear (most common in your age) My advice is be reassured, just do not think about it, have good social interactions and maintain a healthy life style. If your problem even then persist kindly consult a doctor.

10 Study Tips to Improve Your Learning Study Tip 1: Underlining Underlining is one of the simplest and best known study tips. It’s easy to highlight the most significant parts of what you’re reading. One key sentence per paragraph and a few important phrases here and there. You can only retain a certain amount so it’s best to retain the most important information. Study Tip 2: Make your own note and taking notes is one of the most widespread study skills out there. Essentially the aim of note-taking is to summarise lectures or articles in your own words so you can easily remember the ideas. Study Tip 3: Mind mapping A good Mind map can save you many hours of study and further consolidate your knowledge for your exams. Mind Maps are an extremely versatile tools. They can be used for brainstorming, outlining essays or study topics and for general exam preparation, ExamTime offers the ability to create Mind Maps quickly and easily which makes them the ideal tool when it comes to exams. Study Tip 4: Flash cards:- Using these are a particularly effective method of learning when trying to assimilate different facts, dates, formulas or vocabulary. Subjects such as History, Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Geography or any language are made much easier if you incorporate Flashcards in to your study. Study Tip 5: Case Studies Sometimes it can be difficult to grasp the implications of some theories. This is where studying case studies can be a big help. Case studies can help you visualise a theory and place it in a more familiar and realistic context. This is especially useful in business or law subjects. Study Tip 6: Quizzes are an excellent way to review study notes in the weeks and days before an exam. Quizzes can show where your strengths and weaknesses are, so it allows you to focus your efforts more precisely. Moreover, if you share your Study Quiz with your classmates and test each other as much as possible you can discover even more details and areas you may have overlooked. So before any exam, make sure you create and share a bunch of different Quizzes with your Friends. Study Tip 7: Brainstorming This is another study technique that is ideal for studying with friends and/or classmates. Brainstorming is a great way to expand every possible idea out of any topic. Just get a bunch of friends together and shoot the breeze, there are no wrong answers when brainstorming – just talk and capture the ideas, you can review afterward. Study Tip 8: Mnemonic Rules Mnemonics are especially useful when memorising lists and sets. Mnemonics rules basically work by associating certain concepts with other concepts that are more familiar to us. There are many different ways to make mnemonics and these can be individual to the person. Study Tip 9: ORGANISE your study One of the most effective study skills is also one of the most often overlooked; this is organising your study. Creating a TIME TABLE gives you goals and a time in which to achieve them. Having a study timetable as you study is greatly motivational Study Tip 10: Drawing Many people find it easier to recall images rather than text that is why they are better able to memorise concepts if they associate them with pictures or drawings. If you find answer helpful please click on “helpful” tab for knowing my efforts are useful
