All this while, while everyone has been fighting towards eradicating malnutrition, childhood obesity had risen on one side and is ringing its warning siren. The worrying statistics is that as many as 15% of children (aged 6 to 11 years) and adolescents (aged 12 to 17 years) are obese.
When a person?s calorie intake is more than what he/she can burn out, the excess calories get stored as fat. This accumulation over a period of time leads to obesity.
What Leads to Obesity in Children?
Obesity can be attributed to two major factors ? lifestyle and genetics. Agreed, that a family history of obesity is a major risk factor that cannot be changed but when it comes to life style it solely depends on parenting.
Food choices ? In today?s fast-paced routine, it has become common to adopt unhealthy food choices. Consumption of regular junk food/fast food, sugary drinks, fattening foods and having large snack sizes are all the different ways that can lead to childhood obesity.
Lack of Physical Activity ? There is a rapid decline in moderate-to-vigorous physical activity in today?s young generation. Children are driven to school or are given bikes to get around to places. The activity of walking hasn?t been adopted as a practice at all. The combination of high calorie foods with a sedentary lifestyle is a major cause for weight gain. Also, with the level of education becoming very competitive physical activity takes a back seat in the school environment. Physical education is seen as a rest period between academic classes with no proper monitoring.
Sedentary lifestyle ? With increase in entertainment for children via television, video games and recreational computer use they are becoming couch potatoes. Outdoor games and activities are replaced by indoor recreational activities. With both parents working mostly these days there is no supervision of what the child is doing once back from school. This works as much as in the child?s favor to be cuddled inside the house all the time.
What Can You do as a Parent?
But as the belief goes, a child?s behavior is a neat reflection of his/ her upbringing . So much desired change in the child?s habits.
Encourage healthy eating habits ? Including a healthy diet of adding vegetables and fruits, dairy products and cereals on a daily basis. Children should be encouraged to take nutritional foods while fast foods and processed foods should be weekend perks.
Limit junk food ? Hoarding on snacks can be avoided. Frozen foods are best served at parties and get togethers at home.
Increase physical activity levels ? It is suggested that at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day is necessary for the child; however an increase in this is even better. Having children travel long distances for school and extracurricular activities can leave them tired by the end of the day. Chart out their daily time table and include a good 15-20 minutes of rigorous exercise each day. You can accompany your child for a walk in the mornings or after dinner and make it a useful bonding time with them.
Make it sound fun to ?be healthy? ? Make your child understand the pros and cons of leading an active lifestyle. Give them short assignments or sit with them to find out more about healthy foods. Involve all the members of the family in adopting sound habits. Appreciate healthy practices via non-food rewards.
The long-term health consequences of overweight begins in childhood or adolescence. This puts overweight children/ adolescents at increased risk for various chronic diseases earlier in life. So heed to the calls and initiate action right away.
It all begins with you starting out as a wise parent.

1. Masturbate to orgasm an hour or two before intercourse; this can help delay ejaculation during sex. 2. Stop and start method =masturbate alone, but do it with a dry hand, almost to the point of ejaculation, and then stop. Do this three times; the fourth time, ejaculate. After many sessions of practice, you will gain some control. Then begin to increase the stimulation, first using lubrication and your own hand, then ask your wife to masturbate you, then try vaginal penetration. Consistent practice will lead to results. 3. Avoid penetration for the first 15 minutes of lovemaking. Focus on other sexual play to take the pressure off. 4 squeeze method=have sex until you feel close to ejaculation. At that point, gently squeeze the end of the penis for several seconds. Stop having sex for 30 seconds, and then start again. Repeat this pattern until you want to ejaculate. 5. Do kegel. Constitutional homeopathic medicine will give best result.

Make a mixture of Argan oil, Jojoba oil, sesame oil and olive oil and massage your beard and moustache daily to grow and maintain black and smooth hair.

I read somewhere that Ashwagandha promotes to increased height. It increases once bones length. If so Can it be a remedy for dislocation of bones. Say pre stage of osteoporosis? Your correct weight should be 68-73 Kg.You are Apprx.20Kg lighter than your weight. Dont use any kind of capssule or any medicine whose action you dont know.Most of the medicine for gaining or loing weight are harmful.Being a homoeopathic doctor I will recommend you to bring following change in your diet and surely you will start gaining weight. Weight Gain Diet It is not a good idea of Increasing intake of junk foods and fatty foods to gain weight. You should be eating calorie dense yet nutritious food. Your calorie intake should come from foods that are healthy for you. The weight gaining diet should include high protein foods, high carbohydrate foods and healthy fats. Include these in your diet. Breakfast: Banana and milk or banana shake or smoothie, whole-grain toast, fruits, nuts. Eat more fruit and drink less juice. Do not take milk mixed with ghee . It is not healthy. Lunch: Roti or chapatti or wholegrain bread, rice, green vegetables, paneer, dal, chole recipe, black-eyed beans (lobia), rajma, whole wheat pudding (dalia), etc Dinner: Similar to lunch In-between meals:: fruit, sandwich, yogurt (curd), milk, cheese, salad Avoid deep fried snacks like samosa (samosa recipe), pakodas, bhujia etc. Avoid fast foods including donut. Following is a list of weight gain foods. 1. Protein is the key for the muscle building. Without adequate protein, muscle gain and growth is not possible because weight training demands for amino acids (which comes from protein). You should daily eat about 2.2g of protein per kilogram of your weight. For example, if you are 50kg , then you should eat 50x2.2=111g of protein spread over 5-6 meals in the day. Include high protein foods in your diet. Your protein intake should be from foods rather than from supplements. Good protein foods: beans,soybeans, whey, fish, dairy products (low fat variety), meats, nuts and seeds (almonds, peanuts, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds), peanut butter. Many of these are easy digestible foods. Milk is one of the best muscle foods. The milk contains two high quality proteins, about 80 percent whey and 20 percent casein. Whey is quickly broken down into amino acids and absorbed into the bloodstream. Whey is very good to consume after workout. Casein is digested more slowly and provides the body with a steady supply of protein for a longer period of time. Cheese is concentrated milk, so it is high in protein and calcium, fat and cholesterol. Include healthy skim yogurt in your diet, which can give you as much as 120 calories. 2. Eat custard apple (Saripa, Sitaphal) to put on some weight. This fruit is high in calorie. 3. Healthy fats: Avoid fatty foods. Most mothers, especially in India give too much ghee or butter to their children, thinking they will put flesh fast. But ghee is mostly saturated fat which is not a healthy fat for any body. Healthy fats are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and omega-3 fatty acids. Good fats: cold pressed oils (olive, sunflower, linseed, canola ). 4. Drink pure fruit juice. It is full of sugar and added nutrients so it is a healthy and nutritious way to gain some pounds. 5. Complex carbohydrates are also needed for gaining weight.. Corn bread is also full of carbohydrates, one piece gives approximately 328 calories. Potatoes are rich sources of carbohydrates and complex sugars, eat baked or as grilled potatoes. Pasta is a calorie rich cereal carbohydrates. 6. Eat bananas. These are rich in carbs and nutritious, one banana contains approximately 100 calories. 7. Some people think that drinking beer helps, but it is not true, it accumulates in your abdomen, making it fatty. 8. Don't take protein supplements for gaining muscles. Consult your doctor for protein supplements. 9. Non Vegetarian Foods Some of the non-vegetarian foods that help increase weight are given below: 1. Red Meat lean ground beef, lean steaks. 2. Pork, ham, lamb 3. Fish: Eat two portions of salmon, cod, or tuna every day. 4. Shrimps: The nutrients and necessary acid content present in shrimps gives healthy calories. 5. Turkey 6. Chicken breast Chicken breast, is supposed to be the healthiest and non-fat part which has approximately 78 calories for each serving. 7. Whole eggs: Eggs are loaded with protein, vitamins A,D and E.

The best and most effective way to get rid of the localized fat is a combination of low fat and low calorie diet with exercises. let us talk about the diet first. Cut down on calories and add necessary fillers like insoluble fibers to add bulk to the diet, you may include whole grains, fresh whole fruits, raw salads and vegetable preparations. This helps in attaining satiety while consuming lesser calories. Restrict the intake of refined foods like those made with refined wheat flour. Avoid sugar wherever possible. Making way for the good protein sources like legumes, dals, milk and its products and soy in the diet also helps in cutting down the calorie intake. Protein rich foods delays the digestion time and one dos not feel hungry soon. Also, you must choose the fats wisely. Limit the intake of oil and avoid the fried foods and snacks. Drink plenty of water and other healthy drinks to keep up the metabolism. You may also include options like green tea and lemon tea. Buttermilk and tender coconut water are also good options. As mentioned above, in addition to the dietary modifications, exercises are equally important, especially the ones for abs. Moves like crunches, twist crunches, bicycle crunch, step hop, squats etc. are excellent to burn abdominal fat and tone the muscles. Set a time for exercise and start with simple workouts for short duration, you can slowly increase the time, frequency and intensity of the workout. This would allow the body to keep pace with the changes. Make sure that you give enough time to warm up and cooling down after each workout. Avoid lying down or sitting immediately after the meals. You may go for a light walk after lunch and dinner. Or if possible sit in Vajrasana for 15 – 20 minutes after the meals. Avoid heavy meals after sunset and reduce the total salt intake.
