I have mild anxiety disorder. I face fearful dreams most of the days hence my sleep is not comfortable. What to be done? Pls help.

You have not been dealing with your fears for a long time, perhaps. All unexpressed feelings will find some other way of expressing itself in the body. These will lead to psychological problems of various kinds. You need to be trained in dealing with emotions and retain it as an ongoing process in life. Meet a counselor and get some guidance in this regard. In the meantime, please follow an exercise regiment, eat well and keep good company. Make your last meal, as far as possible, a pure carbohydrate meal. Eat early and make it a small meal too. Avoid all foods that cause flatulence. Sleep on your left ear most of the night. Every time you feel fear talk to someone about it. Do some deep breathing, with your left nostril shut, and you will immediately calm down. If it gets too much, place your index finger on your shut lips and puff up your cheeks tightly with air and hold it for some time. The back pressure of the air will press the vagus nerve at the rear of the throat and immediately reduce the heart rate to calm you down. I am only suggesting this because you say the anxiety is mild. If it is worse, please visit a psychiatrist.

How a smoker can keep his lungs in a good condition without hampering smoking for at least of minimum of five cigarettes in a whole day?

That idea is a pipe dream. Even one cigarette a day is harmful because tobacco smoke contains at least 4000 chemical substances. The greatest effect is in the lungs because this substance is processed through the respiratory system directly through the lung surface. Over a period of time lung patches form and those areas become defunct and will hamper oxygen absorption and you will feel loss of stamina and breathlessness. Things like how much you inhale, how long you retain the smoke and how many cigarettes you smoke will impact the effects of the substance. Ideally you should quit all smoking and live a healthy life, period.

I am suffering from knee problem. Few days back I accidentally slipped from skate board and my knee was badly hurt. It was and intense pain and I recovered very quickly (2-3 hrs). I visited the doctor to make sure things are ok. They took x-ray and confirmed no issues and it was due to an extreme pressure on ligament and need some careful movement. I recovered and now its more than 3 months. At certain angle, during my normal activity, I loose balance and the same part starts paining. What do you advise?

Pain may be due to remain infection in bursa of knee, sprained ligaments, meniscus tears, tendinitis, and runner's knee. Mild to moderate ones will often get better on their own. To speed the healing, you can: Rest your knee. Take a few days off from intense activity. Ice your knee to curb pain and swelling. Do it for 15-20 minutes every 3-4 hours for 2-3 days or until the pain is gone. Compress your knee. Use an elastic bandage, straps, or sleeves to keep down swelling or add support. Elevate your knee with a pillow under your heel when you're sitting or lying down to reduce swelling. Practice stretching and strengthening exercises. Although you can’t prevent all injuries, you can take these steps to make them less likely. Stop exercising if you feel pain in your knee. Always increase the intensity of your workout gradually. Stretch your legs before and after physical activity. Use kneepads to prevent bursitis, especially if you have to kneel a lot. Wear shoes that fit well and offer enough support. Keep your thigh muscles strong with regular stretching and strengthening. Eat proper and balance diet with rich iron, calciu and multi-vitamins. If still problem of pain in knee remain remain same then you can take homoeopathic treatment by share your complete medical history.

Take soft semi solid diet gargle with luke warm water with little salt in it 3-4 times daily for 3 days. You can apply anesthetic gel locally. Take some pain killer. Ke yourselves hydrated.

Kindly show me a photograph of the affected part. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days. Caldikind plus 1tab od x10. Do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. If it does not give relief in 4-5days, contact me again. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.

Dr. before 2015 my hair was very dense, silky. Thick, no dandruff and hair fall. No problem at all. But from 2016 hair fall started .now hair become dull, thin, more hair fall, dandruff. First you need to check for pregnancy. If she is not pregnant then you can give her tablet deviry for 5 days to get menses. If she is pregnant then it can be aborted with abortion pills till 7 weeks from her last menses.
