Dear Lybrate User, These are the causes of pimples: *excessive sebum production (sebum is oily secretion from the gland). *Due to hormonal imbalance. These are the methods & instructions to avoid pimples: *To control the sebum secretion you should maintain your hormonal level. Because imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. *Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. * Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. *Use a face pack of fuller's earth (multani mitti) with rose water one time in a day for seven days. It removes toxins from skin.

First of all you should follow some basic thing 1. Avoid=hot and cold at time 2. Less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3. Do not drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4. Avoid late night sleep 5. Yogaraj guggul 1 tab before lunch and dinner 6. Rasna sapatak kadha 2 tsp before lunch and dinner.

Greying of hair is a normal aging process which starts around 30 as the melanocytes activity of the body slows down and gradually the melanin production in hair stops. If it is happening before this age, it is called premature greying. This can be genetic and also due to deficiency of essential vitamins and minerals. The hairs which have already turned white cannot be turned back to black. But you can delay the process of greying of hair by some lifestyle modifications. Take adequate sleep and drink lots of water, eat lots of fruits and green leafy vegetables. Few multivitamin tablets can also be prescribed for the same. Mix two spoons of baking soda with water and make s paste. Apply it on your massage and massage it. Let it dry for 15 20 minutes and then wash it off. Do this twice a week for better results.

I think you are hypertensive. Try to avoid fat and carbohydrates. Try to start statins (lipid lowering drugs) as per doctor prescription. Also start blood thinners as per doctors advise to avoid any blocks in coronary arteries.

The reason of not gaining weight are * improper diet * indigestion (disease of stomach, loose motions) * worms in intestine * thyroid disorder * diabetes *addiction (smoking or alcoholism) dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Follow the diet chart in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid smoking & alcohol drinkg completely. 6. You can try protein powders like endura mass, milk powder, soya protein. Yes this habit is not good for physical and mental health This cycle can not be change in one day you need to work on this problem Do regular physical activity in daytime so that you will get tired in night Avoid tea coffee after 7 pm You can use alarm and gradually reduce your waking time by 15 minutes Do not see exited Movies or don't read any novel/ book in night Regular meditation/ yoga, i can give you address of rajyoga meditation center near your house (this is free of cost) Consult me if symptom persist

Improving Joint Flexibility Through Yoga

Did you know that yoga poses help you in achieving greater flexibility rather than develop it? If you are suffering from stiff hamstrings, painful lower back and locked-up hips and tried many yoga poses without any help, then you may not have tried the right poses. When the body is stiff, it feels like you are trapped within your own body. Flexibility exercises can help in alleviating joint stiffness that may have developed due to a wide array of reasons. Here are the main asanas that are great for joint flexibility.

  1. Big toe pose or Padangusthasana: This yogic pose can calm the nervous system and relieve stress and anxiety and stimulate your kidney and liver to optimize their functions. With regular practice, your calf muscles and hamstrings would stretch and your thighs would become stronger. If you are suffering from indigestion and insomnia, then big toe pose is a must try and it also helps in alleviating the symptoms of menopause.
  2. Bound angle pose or Baddha Konasana: This pose offers a host of benefits that include stimulating your abdominal organs, prostate glands, ovaries, kidneys and bladder. It also stimulates blood and oxygen circulation throughout the body and improves the heart condition.   3. Child's pose or Balasana: This resting pose calms the mind and improves digestion to a great extent.   4. Cow face pose or Gomukhasana: When performed regularly, this pose helps in deep stretching the hips, thighs, ankles, armpit, shoulders, triceps, chest and deltoid. It also aids in strengthening the spine and abdominals, and its folded variations are a great way of decompressing lower spine and clearing the hip joint.

Hi, I am both a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in losing your weight as well as solve your other health problems through a dietary therapy. Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I being a registered dietitian strongly accommodate the patients own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets availiable online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. Instead, you might lose water weight or even lean muscle tissue, since it's hard to burn that many fat calories in a short period. I will need to carry out detailed assessment in your case, after assessing your personal challenges to weight loss, I will recommend a strategy to gradually change habits and attitudes that have sabotaged your past efforts. Also the overall objective should not be to drastically reduce weight but doing it gradually and help rebuild body tissues and to maintain ideal body weight. Eat healthy foods small amount more frequently.Avoid sugar,sweetened juice,fast foods,junk foods.Eat plenty of whole fruits,vegetables.Use unprocessed foods.Eat fish,egg white,lentil,lean meat,mushroom,tofu,cottage cheese,soy milk,soybean,soy product.Use olive oil,canola,coconut oil,refined vegetable oil in small amount.Use nuts,seeds.Avoid smoking,alcohol.Drink lots of water.Do exercise like swimming,skipping,push ups,sit ups,plank,squat.These will help you.

First. One needs to rule out any hormonal issues eg. PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease) by doing a regular blood test for the PCOD profile &/or an abdomino-pelvic ultrasound to rule out secreting ovarian cysts. Medicines' will only help if there is a hormonal imbalance. Next. If this is ruled out, go in for laser hair treatments' & will be about 90% effective .using either an Diode, IPL or Nd-Yag lasers' in that order of preference going by my clinical experiences. For all this, you will need to be 'assessed' in person by a dermatologist.
