Hi Lybrate user Weight gain is very slow process. For weight gain you need to follow a strict food regime and exercise regime patiently for a long time. The right combination of healthy food, exercise, right breathing rest and sleep, go a long way in a happier. Focus on eating each meal containing a protein then do regular exercise . According to nutritionist you should initially aim to increase your appetite by eating more. Yeah eat low carb low fat high protien n vitamin n mineral rich diet .don't skip your breakfast .eat oats .boiled mung Brown bread veg sandwich or boiled egg white. Eat lot of fruits like papaya watermelon n avocado etc. Drink plenty of water n drink green tea coconut water n butter milk .eat green salad n lentils multigrain roti n green leafy veg cabbage broccoli capsicum lauki rural tomato in lunch .eat roasted chana makhana soup .dalia saute veg .n some dry fruits like soaked almond n walnut in. Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. There are various tablets (medicines) to treat diabetes. Some of these need to be taken before meals and some with food and some after food. There is no general guideline. It is specific to the drug being used. Plus with some patients taking a drug on empty stomach may cause gastrointestinal upsets, in such situations that particular person may be advised to take certain drugs after food. Thanks.

Yes this is ideal age to start exercise do not use protien I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2. Take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3. Triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4. Amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating.

The medicine is good. But your sugar values are still high. Please do a fasting and PP blood sugar also. The medicine may need to be changed

Avoid using electronic gadgets atleast one hr.before sleep.Do not glue to TV,LAPTOP late night.Need to change your sleep cycles so go to bed by 10pm. Avoid caffeinated beverages after 4pm.Avoid tobacco,smoking.Excercise daily.T ake 1glass of warm milk one hr.before bed. All the best. Change routine.response may take few weeks.Give trial of No relief consult sos.

Hi, by improving your digestive system, you can increase your weight. 1. You must focus on getting the maximum nutrition out of the food that you are eating and digest that. To improve your digestive powers, you can take chitrakadi vati after meal and ashwagandha churna with water twice a day. 2. You can also have milk and milk products eg butter, ghee, etc along with banana shake.

Dear patient, a proper measure for knowing and managing your diabetes will be to ensure a hba1c below 6.5%. Regarding diet, we have high carbohydrate diet. You have to closely observe your plate and you can come up with a better diet plan for yourself. To simplify it, identify the items which are carb rich in your plate and try to compensate the same with protein and fibres, for eg cut down a roti and increase sabji, dal or salad. To have a better control you can do a monthly self glucose monitoring 3 times a day and keep a track of the food with it. Check fasting sugar, sugar one hour prior to lunch and 2 hrs post lunch, and note down the details of her breakfast and lunch items. Modify as per my earlier suggestions and within a week you will see your blood sugar level responding. Keep a regular exercise schedule, around 45 mins walk would also do. Best of luck. Please note self glucose monitoring and diet control is the only way to manage diabetes.
