My daughter age 15 (height 4.5 ft) (weight 60 kg) please suggest me a tips or medicine for weight loss and height increase,

M.B.S.(HOMEO), MD - Homeopathy
Homeopath, Visakhapatnam
For boys: [(mother's height + 5") + father's height] divided by two. For girls: [(father's height - 5") + mother's height] divided by two. Height in an individual is always grown because of various factors like genetic, physical activity and diet. Many times various physical exercise in childhood helps to increase height. But, in short people it is observed that even after doing physical efforts, their height remains shorted, this is because of genetic, chemical or physical reason which causes body to stop growing. In a scientific study it was shown that the average difference in height of identical twins was 1.7cm, where as fraternal twins averaged at 4.4cm difference. Since there is a major difference in fraternal twin. It can be clearly concluded that height is highly genetic, but it is also true that there may be chance that you may not attend genetic height. Height can be elevated by using natural methods too. You can increase development of growth hormone or force your body to produce required hormone. Levels of testosterone and estrogens which are the sex hormones, hgh also known as the human growth hormone and insulin play a very important role in how tall you grow. Human growth hormone also known as hgh is produced by the pituitary gland in the anterior lobe of the brain. Hgh is a protein that is made of 191 building blocks called amino acids. You can increase hgh by having adequate sleep, increase high protein diet. This is one of the natural ways of increasing the hgh levelsexercise various easy and exercise are present to help you increase your height. Exercises like such as pull-ups, chin-ups and hanging crunches. Such exercises will stretch out your body muscles and tendons. Exercise also helps to generate good levels of growth hormone and ultimately help you grow taller. Exercise to straighten you spinal cord also show effect in increased height. Swimming, cycling and stretching exercises can force your body into producing quantities of human growth hormones. Considering age, till age of 20-25 an individual? s height grows. Later stage, there is highly impossible to grow height. There are many fake options where they commit to increase your height. Proteins are one of the most important components of diet, which helps to compromise of various amino acids, enzymes which contribute to stimulate growth hormone. Along with growth hormone protein are very helpful for muscle development. Proteins can be found in milk and milk products, fish, whole eggs and legumes. Another aspect is metabolism; it means disintegration of food in body. More the metabolism rate more it is beneficial for body. To increase metabolism you should drink plenty of water, which increases metabolism and helps to generate more energy for body. In latest technology there is much advancement, latest method which has been researched and tested is surgical method. Under this method, a small height elevator jack is put in your legs and that need to be escalate daily. This process is very painful and expensive. This process helps to achieve increment of height up to 6 inches or more over 6 months duration.

I want to increase my weight. I'm just 40kgs and I'm 21 years old. I look very lean. Right now I'm taking iron syrup.

I want to increase my weight. I'm just 40kgs and I'm 21 years old. I look very lean. Right now I'm taking iron syrup.
Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight. If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Testicular Cancer - Everything You Want To Know About It

MBBS, MD - Oncology, DNB - Super Speciality, Immuno Oncology
Oncologist, Delhi
Testicular Cancer - Everything You Want To Know About It

Testicular cancer is mostly witnessed among young adults in the age range of 24–35. It results from the growth of abnormal cells in the testes. It is not the most common type of cancer found in the body, but can pose a serious threat to an individual if not treated early. The cure rate is one of the highest among all kinds of cancer found in the body. This being said, the rate of cure is totally dependent on the stage of detection.

Risk Factors for Testicular Cancer
The historical trend of testicular cancer suggests that white men are prone to this type of cancer than their African, Asian and Latino counterparts. A person with a family history of testicular cancer of HIV is at higher risk of getting this disease. Some other risk factors include Klinefelter’s syndrome and cryptorchidism.

Protection from Testicular Cancer
There is no hard and fast rule of protection. It is suggested that the testicles get evaluated while routine medical check-up. A person with a family history of testicular cancer should opt for a periodic checkup after every three months. In case a patient has already recovered from testicular cancer, routine medical tests are a must to ensure non-recurrence.

Symptoms of Testicular Cancer
The common symptom is a swelling in the testicle. It feels like a thickening of the testicle and is mostly painless. Minor discomfort in the swelling region is often reported. Some other symptoms include back pain, ache in the scrotum and groin, change in the size of the testicle, bloating of the lower abdomen and heavy sensation of the scrotum. There is a rare form of this cancer, which produces a female hormone called estrogen in a man’s body. This disease results in a lack of sexual desire, lump in the affected area, etc. Even less serious testicular cancer might show these symptoms. An oncologist should be immediately consulted if one or more of these symptoms surfaces.

What are the treatment options?
Testicular cancer is mostly cured with the help of a surgery. A follow-up radiation and chemotherapy is suggested by doctors to destroy the surrounding cells. It is done to ensure that the cancer cells do not spread easily and the chance of recurrence is minimal. The rate of cure depends on early detection.

Does testicular cancer affect sexuality?
In most of the cases, testicular cancer is detected in one testicle. If this is the case, the other testicle produces all the hormones needed for sexual drive. It also does not affect sex drive, beard and muscularity. There is also a large section of patients who reported of a difficult sexual life after the surgery. There can be some discomfort in the scrotum as well.

Hello sir/ma'am! I am an 18 yrs. Old male. The problem is I am pretty thin. I eat a lot but there seems no change in ...
Hi lybrate-user Know and understand how to gain weight in a healthy manner While some people try their level best to lose weight, others go to all kinds of lengths to gain weight in order to look healthy. Contrary to belief, people who are generally skinny don’t know how to increase weight and often find it difficult to do so. This is usually because they have a high body metabolism rate which doesn’t allow fat to accumulate, resulting in faster burning of calories. Fortunately, there are several tips to gain weight, which are not only effective, but healthy as well. How to increase weight and stay healthy If you are attempting to increase your weight, it is important to remember that simply eating anything at all will not help. Incorrect eating habits might not only affect your body functioning, but could also have other undesired effects on you. This is why it is important to eat correctly, while keeping track of your daily activities. Listed below are some simple and effective tips to gain weight. Put together a schedule Like most other things, it is essential to put together a detailed and achievable schedule that will help you gain the numbers you want. For this you will need to measure the different parts of your body like thighs, waist, hips, stomach etc. So that you can keep track of your progress. Along with keeping a track of your measurements, it is also necessary to keep track of the foods you consume and the kind of exercise that you might have to indulge in to help pile on the pounds. Prepare a nutritious diet plan When trying to increase weight, you simply cannot start by consuming fatty foods. Much like how you follow a particular diet to lose weight, you will have to chart a specific diet plan to put on weight. For this you have to pay careful attention to the proteins, fats and carbohydrates you consume. Ensure you diet has foods that are rich in calories and will help you gain weight like nuts, oats and whole grains. Other foods that can help to increase weight are dairy products like cheese, yogurt and ice creams. You can also include beverages like fresh fruit juices or milk shakes to help increase your weight. Strategic and frequent meals Instead of over indulging in food, it is advisable to consume 5-6 small portion meals every day, within a gap of 3-4 hours. When doing so, you should also make sure that you consume those foods that are higher in calories first, and then the ones with lower calories. For instance, while having breakfast, have eggs first and then cereal. It is also important that you eat the right kinds of food which will help you gain weight naturally, rather than foods that are full of sugars and fats. Healthy and nutritious snacks You are bound to feel hungry in between meals even on a healthy diet. In such times, it is best to keep nutritious and healthy snacks at reach to sate hunger pangs. Whole wheat or whole grain sandwiches, fruit and nut mixes, dry fruits and pistachios are some of the best snacks because they provide necessary nutrition and are tasty. Drink plenty of liquids One of the most important parts of a diet, whether losing or gaining weight, is to drink plenty of liquids to keep your body hydrated. However, while losing weight requires beverages like water and green tea, while gaining weight you need to have beverages that supplement you with calories. Fresh fruit juices and fruit milkshakes are some of the best options because along with keeping you hydrated, they also provide the necessary calorie intake and do not affect appetite. Weight and strength training In addition to consuming the right foods, it is also important to add weight and strength training to your daily activities. With this you can strengthen muscles, which in turn can help in increasing overall body weight. Light or medium strength or weight training will help in adding lean muscles, which is ideal for those who want to gain weight while staying fit. However, it is important to stay away from too much of cardio or aerobic exercises as they are usually used for burning fat and calories. Get adequate rest While eating all the right things and working out to gain the right amount of weight, it is also vital that you get adequate rest. Keeping up with a busy work life and looking after yourself well can be a little draining, which is why you need to sleep and rest well. This will rejuvenate both, your body and mind and leave you feeling fresh and healthy every day. These are some of the most effective tips to gain weight, naturally and healthily. However, if you don’t know how to increase weight in the right way, you can also consult a nutritionist or dietician to help you get the right schedule. This will ensure you have someone knowledgeable to speak to in case you run into any difficulties.

Let me explain what your son is going through. He has just entered adolescence. He may be having a spurt in the production of the male sex hormone, testosterone, earlier by nearly two years, which fortunately has a duration of two years, only. Due to this chemical alone there are three identified features that present itself over which he has no control: he will be sexually active, aggressive and rebellious, and he will have acne and pimple problems. Then if he has unresolved childhood issues, they will compound the situation and fuel his uncontrolled behavior. Please remember that he himself may not be aware of all this. In his case, he is manifesting a lot of anger in his stubbornness: do you know of any reason from his childhood that may have contributed to unresolved anger? go to a counselor and discuss these matters over and get support to take care of him. Now what else can you do? you parents need to become his best friend i. E. You must always ally with him and find the path of least resistance, without displaying any weakness. Communication must always be open and favorable. The moment he hides things and does not communicate with you or you withdraw it, there is serious danger. Avoid all types of confrontations and discus your concerns with him, openly. Never give him anything without there being some negotiations? barter with him; you give him something in return for some compliance from him. There has to be some ground rules and established boundaries in your house. Let it appear like it is his choice to comply. You have to be strong and firm in some matters. Don? t make decisions for him: offer alternatives that help him make responsible choices. I recommend that you take him for career counseling and determine his aptitude for academic pursuits. Whatever you do, never let him feel rejected by you. There is no harm to tell him that you are afraid as to what is going to happen to him, and afraid that you cannot handle him. This is a fact and so there is no shame in being that open to him. Remember that he is seeking attention by these means. Do not deprive him of it. In fact listen to his arguments, and see where he is coming from and get into that frame of reference to understand him. He may be frustrated with you, if you insist in having it your way, when the world is undergoing rapid changes every day. Try to understand him. Both parents must be on the same page and not argue about him in his presence. Let him know that he is dealing with a united front and that he cannot play games pitching one parent against another. But he must always feel love and acceptance. Two years will fly in a jiffy, and he will settle down very amicably. The way you deal with him, you could either escalate the situation, because you think and know that you are older and stronger; or you could facilitate a youngster to tide over this situation with great resolve and character formation, by being his best friend during this period of strife and turmoil.

I have pimples on all over my face what will I do I have consulted many doctors but no use.
These are the methods to treat fastly pimples: • Imbalance in hormone level causes excessive sebum production and causes acne. So do not take stress and do exercise daily such as running, jogging and long breathing exercises. • Do YOGASANA daily. Especially do SINHASANA & SARVANGASANA daily. • Use oil free face wash and drink 7 -8 glass of water daily. • Do not touch your pimple because your finger transfer bacteria to it and make it worse. If you touch it then clean your face with water. • Take cucumber and papaya pulp. Mix it well and add 1 tablespoon Turmeric. Make a paste and apply it on face and leave it for 15 minutes. • Steam your face to open the pores, which in turn clear the skin. Steam your face for a couple of minutes. • Take 2 teaspoon of RAKTASHODAK SYRUP of BAIDYANATH company once a day.
