I have black spot as well as pimples. I used many cream but no solutions last 4 months. Please help me.
My lips color being change in up side lip it start in middle part of lip and it increase months by months.
Sir/ Mam, Recently I got rid of acne on face but I am still left with some redness, blackish pigmentation around my lips and pores on either sides of nose. My doctor prescribed me dreamlite face wash and Clindamycin, nicotinamide allantoin gel for acne which I am using it currently. But I stopped using these from 1 to 2 weeks as it is causing much dryness and reddish appearance on skin. And some burning sensation whenever I walk into the sun. Can anyone suggest me how to get clear of pores fast and get even skin tone. And a sunscreen lotion. And how long should I prolong using Clindamycin gel (should I still apply on my face though no pimples r seen on my face. Thank u.
Almost each one of has had at least one recurring nightmare. A nightmare where we slowly or suddenly lose something very dear to us, this something is part of us, sometimes defining what we are. This something being hair! oh, you're lying if you haven't ever feared waking up one day to find yourself completely bald. Well, don't worry. Here are a few tips to keep the possible doomsday at bay:
1. Eat right ya!
Without strong foundation any building can fall, the same case applies to your luscious locks. If you don't provide right nutrition to your hair, they'll eventually fall. So, start eating and rightly so, for your hair too. Include a lot of food containing omega fatty 3 acids, this will make sure your hair remain strong and scalp doesn't go dry. What to have? flaxseeds, walnuts, salmon, soybeans.
2. Give stress a break!
Believe it or not, if everything's right- the diet, vitamins and nutrients intake, what can be the root cause of your hair less may be the big villain- stress. So, you need to find out the reason for your stress and eliminate that. Your stress is unique to you and you only need to find the perfect way to deal with it. Be positive- that's the first thing you can do to remain stress-free!
Everyone can practice meditation. With it, you are able to eliminate the entangled thoughts that crowd up your mind and cause stress by inducing hormonal imbalance. Meditation promotes your emotional and physical well-being including your hair's health!
Taking care of anything eventually preserves it and promotes it. True for hair too! give your hair some tender love and care. Fix a good cleaning regimen for hair, do not use harsh chemicals for coloring or styling your hair, and be gentle to your hair. Here are some more tips to take care of your hair to prevent them from falling off.
5. Avoid excessive heat
Avoid constant heating and drying procedures on your hair. Heat tends to weaken hair proteins leading to hair loss. Thus hair dryers, hot curlers, hot brushes, hair straighteners, hair fasteners etc. Should be used sparingly if at all.
6. Hot oil for the win
Listen to your nani's advice and bring out that bottle of oil. Take any natural oil - olive, coconut, canola - and heat it up so that it is warm, but not too hot. Massage it gently into your scalp. Put on a shower cap and leave it on for an hour, then shampoo your hair. This ensures your hair remains shiny and luscious.
7. Home remedies
Massaging your scalp for a few minutes daily will help stimulate circulation. Good circulation in the scalp keeps hair follicles active. Circulation may be improved through massage by using a few drops of lavender or bay essential oil in an almond or sesame oil base. Apply warm green tea (two bags brewed in one cup of water) on your scalp and leave this mixture on for an hour and then rinse. Green tea contains antioxidants, which prevent hair loss and boost hair growth.
Acne is a condition that affects many people including teenagers and women during their menstruation period. It is characterised by red eruptions that are usually filled with oil, secreted by overactive oil glands in the hair follicles. So what else should you know about acne? Here are six things you probably did not know about this condition:
- Clogged pores: Acne signifies clogged or blocked pores that are filled with oil and dead skin cells that have not been cleaned out completely. This mixture of oil and dead skin cells blocks the pores and ends up creating an eruption of red sores called acne and pimples. There is a chance that bacteria may have joined these two substances as well.
- Over treating the skin: The worst thing that you can do is to touch, pick or even apply too many harsh chemicals to your skin during an acne breakout. These things can actually make the problem worse, and even create scars in the long run! The constant use of cleansers and moisturisers can also have a harsh effect on the skin, due to the perfume and chemicals present in such products.
- Exfoliation: Using a salicylic acid wash or cleanser first thing in the morning will help in exfoliation, which is a good way to clear those dead skin cells from your skin. This will speed up the process of acne treatment as well, by clearing the pores. Also at night, the use of a medicated cream that contains benzoyl peroxide will help in killing the bacteria, so that there is no infection.
- Two weeks notice: Trying new products to treat acne is a great idea. But give every new product at least two weeks before you write it off. Usually, any good product will take at least that much time to affect the acne, and clear the pores in an effective way. So before you start switching cleansers and creams every other day, remember to use the two-week thumb rule.
- Menstrual cycle: Acne, more often than not, rears its head with an eruption or two about five days before and a few days after, the monthly menstrual cycle. So watch out for hormonal imbalances, which can cause acne and pimples. Avoid stress around this time too.
- Dermatologist: Visit a dermatologist if regular cleaning and over the counter creams are not working.
Persistent acne may turn into an infection. Remember to ask a dermatologist for an oil reducing formula too.
Acne is a skin problem that should be treated the right way.

Here are side effects and follow-ups of HIV treatment
Hi, this is Dr, Ajay. In the previous video, I talked to you about diagnosis of HIV and the various tests that are done. I also spoke briefly about HIV. In this video, I would be talking more about HIV treatment, its side effects and the follow up of the patient.
So once the patient is diagnosed with HIV, we subject the patient for further screening of CD4 viral load. The latest guidelines of DHHS and WHO state that you do nt have t wait for the CD4 count to drop. That means, if the patient is HIV+ , you can straight away start HIV treatment without waiting for the CD4 counts. So, after the patient is prepared for the treatment, the counseling is done where we have to assess the patient whether he is ready to start the treatment. You have to do preparedness counseling. We usually start the 3 Drug Regimen which is very popularly known as Combined Antiretroviral Treatment. Once we start the treatment we also monitor the patient for the side effects of the treatment because not all ART medicines are free of side effects. We choose the regimen which has the least side effect.
So for examples, if the patient is on Ziloudine, we monitor the patient for any signs of anemia, weakness, fatigue or nausea. Some patients develop loss of fat which we call lypotrophy and lypodystrophy. Then there are other side effects like Skinofovea causes renal kidney dysfunction, retardation of kidney function. Like this, we monitor the patient. Some people taking Adesanovith can develop yellowish discoloration of eyes. So, we tailor make the medicine to suit the patient. When we start the patient on antiretroviral treatment, on every follow up we insist the patient to take the medicines regularly because adherence is the most important step in the success of antiretroviral medicine. The tests that we do in the follow up are again the baseline function like the liver function, kidney function and we also assess the CD4 viral load at the end of 6 months.
So, by doing these tests, we will know whether the patient is responding to treatment or not. We will also know whether the patient is developing any side-effects to the treatment or not. By this monitoring at every step, we also counsel the patient for adherence. Taking ART treatment also helps in preventing the HIV transmission. For example, if a patient in a couple in HIV positive that is only husband is positive and wife is negative or vice versa, what we call discarded couple, in them if one of the patients is taking antiretroviral treatment, by decreasing the viral load to undetectable levels, we can also prevent the transmission of HIV from one partner to the other but we also recommend the patient to use condom.
There is an option of taking HIV medicine for preventing HIV, what we call as pre-exposure profile axis and post-exposure of profile axis. Here, if a patient accidentally has a needle exposure through an HIV positive patient or if the patient has any sexual exposure, then immediately after the exposure he can take medicines within 72 hours. By taking these medicines for 28 days, he can prevent HIV transmission. This is what we call as post-exposure profile axis. Then there is another entity called pre-exposure profile axis wherein if the patient is getting involved in high-risk activity like for instance, most of the sexual workers unknowingly meet many partners. So to avoid getting HIV infection, they can take preventive treatment which is again taken for 28 days to prevent HIV transmission.
