Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. Actually pain at calf/leg region can be due to many reasons, commonly it is muscular in nature but it can also be due to tendons, nerves, blood vessels etc. My advise to you for initial 2-3 weeks will be: - ice packs application intensively with elevation of your limbs at night - take a short course of anti-inflammatory medication as per your body's suitability - stop your physical activity till pain completely subsides - intensive physical therapy, training and proper muscle conditioning once pain has subsided - slow resumption of physical activities with proper pre activity warm up and stretching of muscles and short increments in duration of physical activity each day as per pain tolerance. - some blood tests like serum vitamin d and serum potassium levels, esr and crp help in better diagnosis of such condition. You are probably distracted die to some stress which you need to identify soon. Retaining information to be recalled at will is the role of memory. For which you need to do the following: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night?s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, consume less of fat and use olive oil instead, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. Good social contacts are good for memory too: so make and keep good friends. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly.

The laziness and dullness is because of the depression you are going through. Figure out if there is a reason try to resolve, take my help if you want. Start exercising atleast 30 minutes daily to feel better. If you feel its severe you can seek treatment- medication and also psychotherapy side by side.

Hello. Acidity occurs when there is excess secretion of acids in the gastric glands of the stomach. When the secretion is more than usual, we feel, what is commonly known as heartburn, which is normally triggered off by consumption of spicy foods. Here are some home remedies to cure acidity. - Skip the aerated drinks as well as the caffeine. Opt for herbal tea instead. - Have a glass of lukewarm water everyday. - Include banana, watermelon and cucumber in your daily diet. Watermelon juice is great for curing acidity. - Coconut water is known to soothe the system if you suffer from acidity. - Drink a glass of cold milk - everyday. - Have your last meal at least two to three hours before going to bed. - Keeping long intervals between meals is another cause for acidity. Have small but regular meals. - Try to avoid pickles, spicy chutneys, vinegar, etc. - Boil some mint leaves in water and have a glass of this after meals. - Jaggery, lemon, banana, almonds and yogurt are all known to give you instant relief from acidity. - Excessive smoking and drinking will increase acidity, so cut down. - Try chewing gum. The saliva generated helps move food through the esophagus, easing symptoms of heartburn. - Eat Ginger as it aids in digestion. - A simple preparation of lemon water with sugar can be sipped on an hour before lunch to reduce uneasiness. - Have vegetables like drumsticks, beans, pumpkin, cabbage, carrot and spring onions. For diabetes: Type-2 Diabetes is a lifestyle related problem, so making a few lifestyle changes can lower the chances of developing type 2 diabetes. -Excess weight is the single most important cause of type 2 diabetes, so control or reduce your weight if you are overweight! -Avoid sedentary lifestyle and start get moving. Brisk walking for a half hour every day reduces the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. -Modify your diet: *Choose whole grains and whole grain products over highly processed carbohydrates. The bran and fiber in whole grains make it more difficult for digestive enzymes to break down the starches into glucose. *Avoid sugary beverages which have a high glycemic load, and drinking more of this sugary stuff is associated with increased risk of diabetes. *Choose good fats instead of bad fats. Good fats found in liquid vegetable oils, nuts, and seeds. Trans fats or bad fats are found in many margarines, packaged baked goods, fried foods, fast or junk foods. *Limit intake of red meat and processed meats. Nuts, seeds, beans, tofu, or poultry are much more healthful protein choices. -Quit smoking. -Moderate alcohol consumption decreases the risk of type 2 diabetes. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress or tension! And keep an optimistic attitude in life! Medication: Take homoeopathic SBL’s Diaboherb medicine/ 3 times a day daily. Home Remedies: Dry the leaves of mango tree and grind to a powder. Mix 1 teaspoon dry powder in a glass of water and drink it daily to reduce high blood sugar levels. Take 2 teaspoons of bitter gourd (karela) juice once a day. One can also increase its use as a cooked vegetable. Take 1 teaspoon of Indian gooseberry (amla) juice mixed with 1 teaspoon of bitter gourd juice twice a day. For Hypertension: Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels.

My name is Sandip Anand 30 years old had darkness (some area) on my forehead. To get rid of it I used no scars cream for 15 days and the result was awesome. Then I stopped applying cream and my forehead got more darker then ever (some part) I also got redness on both sides of nose joints. Use a broad spectrum sunscreen both indoors as well as before going out. Sunscreen should be both uva and uvb protective. Always use your umbrella whether it is raining or not. Use a cap or a scarf or your dupatta to cover your head. Protect your eyes with a glares. Avoid scrubbing your face. Do not steam or sauna. If you swim, use a sunscreen prior to it and after. Avoid face cosmetics for the time being. Drink two litres of water every day. Munch on papaya, pumpkin, black grapes. These contain important antioxidants and phytonutrients which will soften your skin. Do not stress over anything. Avoid self medications.

Insulin is injected subcutaneously, i. E just below the skin in fatty tissue. If insulin is injected deeper in muscles then it may get absorbed quickly and can lead to low sugars. Insulin should not be given in scars, moles, varicose veins, sites with broken blood vessels etc. As it may alter its absorption. Insulin injection site must be rotated each time to avoid lipodystrophy (at least, take insulin injection an inch apart from the previous site).

Sites where you can take insulin injection:

  1.     Abdomen: this is a preferable site for self-administration since absorption of insulin is quicker and predictable. You can take insulin, at least, two fingers width away from belly button.
  2.     Thigh: this is second best site after abdomen for self-administration of insulin injection. Top and outer aspect of the thigh is preferred. Avoid injecting insulin on the inner side of the thigh.
  3.     Arms: normally when somebody else is administrating insulin to diabetes patient it can be given on outer back aspect of the arm away from shoulder and elbow in fatty tissue.
  4.     Buttocks: upper outer padded part (wallet area) is a preferred spot.
