I would rank can notharis as the number one homeopathic remedy for uti when the symptoms agree to it. Can notharis has been a very helpful homoeopathic medicine in treating cases of utis in people who have recently had an attack of streptococcal infections. This medicine can also be used in treating cases where there is recurrence, which means that people suffer from repeated attacks of these infections. It is indicated when the patient experiences a burning pain while passing urine. The patients get a feeling that they have to pass urine very often, but can pass very less urine at a time. Each time while passing urine, the patient experiences a very bad intense pain in the lower abdomen which extends upwards till the belly button. There is a feeling that the urine was not completely expelled and they feel that still more urine is yet to come out. The pain is more while walking and so the patients prefer to be in sitting posture just to avoid the unbearable pain. Another important symptom that indicates the use of can notharis is that there is pain in the back on both sides of the spine. This region is very sensitive touch, hardly allows the patient to move. At times, the pain radiates down the urinary tract. The patient passes urine mixed with blood and sometimes they may pass frank blood. The urine is turbid and full of fragments. The patient feels very restless and uneasy. They also have an itching sensation in the urethra after passing urine.

Healthy Prostate - 4 Things You Must Follow!

Healthy Prostate - 4 Things You Must Follow!

The prostate gland is a male reproductive organ at the base of the urinary bladder and urethra is a thin tube that carries urine out of the penis. It runs through the prostate gland. A fluid produced by this gland helps to carry sperms produced by the testes outside during intercourse.

Following things can be done for maintaining a healthy prostate:

  1. Eat fruits and vegetables - Including fruits and vegetables in your diet can help to maintain a healthy prostate. Guava, papaya, tomato and watermelon are some of the options that spell good for your prostate. Vegetables like cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts should also be included to boost the health of the gland. Ideally, you should have about 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.
  2. Have selenium-rich foods - Having foods rich in selenium (a powerful trace mineral) like tuna, eggs, cashews, onions, garlic, etc can reduce your risk of developing prostate cancer.
  3. Workout to stay fit - Exercising regularly and maintaining an optimum weight can help to keep your prostate gland at an optimal health. Several types of research have revealed the beneficial aspects of exercising. It's said that physically active men are less likely to suffer from enlarged prostate if they performed a physical activity of low to moderate intensity. Likewise, physically active men who ran for 90 to 108 minutes are 20% less likely to develop erectile dysfunction.
  4. Have more soy products - Eating more soy products like tofu, soy flour, soy nuts can help to keep cancer of the prostate at bay. A study published in the British Journal of Urology International revealed that men who had soy products saw a 40% decrease in their risk of developing an enlarged prostate. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an urologist.

4 Procedures To Treat Large Kidney Stones

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, DNB - Urology

4 Procedures To Treat Large Kidney Stones

A kidney stone may not be as big as the stones in your garden but can be quite a pain. Kidney stones are actually mineral crystals formed that are usually a combination of calcium and phosphates. The size of a kidney stone ranges from the size of a sugar crystal to a ping pong ball. While some kidney stones pass out of the body with urine, others can block the urethra and become painful.

In addition to being painful, a kidney stone can cause permanent damage to your kidneys. Since large kidney stones are usually painful, they rarely go undiagnosed. However, if a kidney stone is left untreated, it could cause the kidney to atrophy and lower the functionality of the kidney. Kidney stones that are related to an infection can also lead to chronic urinary tract infections and damage the kidney through scarring and inflammation. This could eventually lead to kidney failure.
Not all kidney stones need to be treated with surgery. Of the kidney stone is very small, your doctor may prescribe plenty of water and medication to treat the pain. With plenty of water, you should be able to pass the stone in your urine. Ideally, you should take plenty of rest until the stone is passed.
Larger kidney stones may need you to be hospitalized for treatment. These are:

- Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL)
To begin this form of treatment, a painkiller is administered. Ultrasonic waves are used to determine the location of the kidney stone. Shock waves are then passed though the kidney stone to break it into smaller pieces. These can then be passed out of the body through urine.

- Ureteroscopy
This is also called retrograde intrarenal surgery and is performed when the kidney stone is stuck in the ureter. A ureteroscope is passed through the urethra and bladder into the ureter. Laser energy may then be used to break the stone into smaller pieces to unblock the ureter.

- Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL)
This surgery is performed under general anesthesia.  It involves a small incision being made in the back and a nephroscope passed into the kidney through it. Laser or pneumatic energy is then used to break up the stone into smaller pieces and pull them out.

- Open Surgery
Open surgery is performed only in the case of an abnormally large stone or abnormal anatomy of the person. An incision is made in the back that allows the doctor to access the kidney and manually remove the stone. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Urologist.

PAST YEAR MY Doctor recognised a problem of anal fissure in me which is cured after few month by sits bath as prescribed by my doctor ,but from last months the problem arises again few points which I noted during this that my rectum is very hard due to which feel a little pain not as much please provide some solution or if there's any diet plan regarding this then please tell me.

MBBS, MS - General Surgery, FIAGES
General Surgeon, Gurgaon
Hi anal fissure and piles can be painful and troublesome .it can also cause bleeding. Conservative measures like sitting in warm water, eating high fibre diet including Fruits, green vegetable and salad, taking allopathic or homeopathic medicines will solve your problem but temporarily. Definitive treatment is surgical management .laser treatment is the definitive management .it is painless ,10 min procedure. No dressings are required in post op period .post surgery you will be on proper diet plan and certain pelvic floor excersizes will be taught to you which will help you avoid constipation.
