I have a weight of 98 kg and have a height of 178 cm. Every one is saying I have over weight. Do I need to worry.
You have to reduce weight to around 80 k g. Weight reduction you need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your bmi, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. There are exercises specific for each part of body like hips, thighs or abdomen. Comprehensive exercise & diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given. May also need to do some tests. In brief, weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs etc. To burn off fat. Some tips : 1) drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/4 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests.

I want to know about body weakness I'm eating good food and body very slim.
In general, most cases of fatigue \weakness \ laziness may be attributed to three areas: lifestyle factors, medical conditions or psychological problems. A thorough assessment is needed in all three factors to get to the actual cause of weakness. Your diet and day to day life style also is very crucial for right diagnosis I being a both a registered dietitian (rd) and doctor have been successfully helping patients with their problems through a holistic approach using customized therapeutic diet and medications. You can do yoga and exercise for weight loss and follow healthy diet including fruits and salad. Avoid coffee, fried and canned food.

Foods with a higher amount of vitamin D include fish, liver, and egg yolk. Excellent sources of vitamin D are foods and beverages that have vitamin D added to them. Cow milk always has added vitamin D. Orange juice, margarine, and soy beverage usually have it added.

1. For increasing weight. First we have to work on your digestive system. It will do aam pachan and will increase your digestive power and appetite. 2. Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day. 3. Take small meals 4-5 times a day. 4. Eat healthy n light food. 5. Drink plenty of fluids. 6. Avoid constipation. 7. Walk 1km daily in evening. 8. Follow up after a week, will start medication which can increase your weight without any side effect.

Mr Sudhakar, Looking at the details given about your mother, i find that present treatment is unlikely to benefit. She will have to be shifted on Insulin injections, otherwise there will be no control possible. You may not be very happy with my suggestion, but once HbA1c% goes beyond 8 or 9 % then oral drugs alone will not be able to give desired control. The reason is the beta cells have almost stopped producing insulin, hence oral drugs do not have any effect.

Start eating triphla chooran in morning empty stomach with water, secondly try out alternative fasting diet, means, eat fruits only every alternative days, and the other alternative days normal routine diet (do for 60 days). Start doing surya namaskar in morning to have amazing results.

What is a perfect diet plan for a diabetic patent. What things we should avoid to control diabetes.
Diabetes can be controlled/managed by a proper regulated diet and exercise. Eat every two hours mini meals. Don't eat big meals. Take more green vegetables/salads. Eat whole grain food/grains like ragi, wheat, jowar instead of refined grains like maida/ sooji/ white bread etc. Reduce foods with high GI Index like potato, white rice, banana, mango. Avoid all forms of simple sugars like Colas, juices, sweets, cakes, biscuits, pizzas, noodles etc. Eat daily fruits with low/medium GI index like apple, guava, mosambi, orange. Eat proteins like dals, sprouts, egg, chicken etc with every minimeal. Drink lot of water. One glass every hour. Do at least 30-45 mins of exercise everyday. Walk for 10 mins after every meal. These steps can help reduce sugar levels.

I am 36 and have quite a few physical limitations in doing the yoga and exercises due to orthopeadic issues. Are aqua aerobics better in these kind of situations. Please advise.

Kindly choose any mode of exercise. Build up your stamina & and attain perfection in poses gradually. Don't do hop jump & stop type of exercises/

No now you are okay if fever has gone. Keep yourself hydrated. 2. Get extra rest for some days till you feel more energetic. 3. Avoid watching television for long hours. Indulge in relaxing activities. 4. Avoid stress and too much physical exertion. 5. Take a nutritious/ light diet food items like soya, sprouts, dals, paneer, milk, seasonal fruits, eggs, fish, etc. 6. Do light physical activity, meditation and yoga. 7. Take any multivitamin tablet once daily after food for 2 weeks.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Diet chart. Follow it in your daily life to fastly gain weight * in morning, take a glass of milk added with 2 teaspoons of protein powder with breakfast. * in lunch time, take 1 bowl of curd or 100 gm of cheese, a bowl of vegetable, with chapattis. * in evening, take 1 glass of milk (300 ml) with 2 bananas. * in night, take a bowl of careals (daal, a bowl of salad with chapattis. 3. In morning, get up early and take awalk for 10-15 minutes and exercise light weight exercises for at least 30 minutes at home or gym. 4. For proper weight, proper sleep is very important. So you should sleep for 6-8 hours daily. 5. Avoid soft drinks, western fast food (burgers, french fries, pizza etc. They disturb your digestion. Follow these exercises regularly and you get the goal of height gain: * first stand straight bare foot on floor, then raise your arms upwards then raise your heels of foot with breathing in, try to stand on heels for 10-12 seconds and slowlylower down your heels back on the floor and breath outthe air. Repeat this exercise 5-8 times in morning. *sit on the floor, stretch you legs together so that both foot touch each other. Now raise your arms upwards together with back straight, now move your hands towardstoes of feet and touch them. Your forehead touching your knees. Slowly revert back the arms and move back arms in normal position. Repeat this exercise 2-4 times daily. You can privately consult me for understanding more exercises.

Focus on healthy foods to gain weight. Eat foods that are loaded with vitamins, minerals, nutrients and calories. You can enrich foods with real nut butters, whole fat milk, avocado, whole wheat bread, vegetable oils, nuts, potatoes, eat more often. Increasing the amount of calories you eat each day will help to gain weight. Focus on eating each meal containing a protein then do regular exercise for fitness.

Hye. Thank you for your query. Firstly if you are underweight, you need to increase your weight to get back fuller cheeks. At a certain age you lose the teen fats from your face, which is natural. Trying to get chubby cheeks does not mean just piling up fat on your face. You can try to achieve it by toning your facial skin. Also, a good balanced diet is crucial to healthy looking skin. A few natural techniques, exercises and home remedies can give your cheeks a plumper and chubby look. 1. Facial yoga is the best way to get chubby cheeks and tone sagging skin.  2. You can also blow balloons to work out your cheek muscles. You can even perform this exercise by blowing into imaginary balloons. 3. Olive Oil, shea butter, coconut oil and ghee works as the perfect moisturizer for dry skin and ensures soft skin. It also helps prevent wrinkles, tightens skin and makes cheeks look younger. 4. Fenugreek can also help you get chubby yet firm cheeks. Apply methi powder paste as a mask for 10 minutes a day. 5. Rose water should be applied on cheeks before going to bed, and leave it on overnight. The next morning, rinse it off with warm water. Repeat this remedy once daily. 6. Honey helps the skin retain moisture so it looks healthier and plumper. Adding honey to your diet or applying as a pack on cheeks, both are beneficial.  7. lybrate-user, Yes you are right. Because of deficiency of Insulin blood glucose levels go high. This causes a multiple complications related to eyes, kidneys, lower limbs, nerves and heart. Therefore it is called as a Silent Killer. Thanks.

Hi! If you are slim then it is ok but if you are slim and weak then don't ignore. Eat eggs, nonvegetarian, milk and dry fruits like cashews and almonds Eat ghee based home prepared sweets Add cheese and paneer to your diet Drink water( 4 to 6 glasses) Join gym you can improve your fitness. Some people that have high metabolic rate they don't gain weight how much ever they eat. If you fit in to that category please don't worry But don't go for any weight gaining pills or tonics etc they are very dangerous in the long run. If you are healthy and free of diseases then be great full for that Don't worry about the rest
