13 months old baby don't force a baby to eat but yes give something to babies almost at interval of 2 hours. Try each and every food item to baby which is easily digestible can in semisolid forms for easy and smooth eating. Milk is not an issue give milk 3 to 4 times a day. Give all pulses, daliya / oats, chapati, rice, fruits, green boiled veges likes beans, carrot etc.

My son is 2 yrs old . He is having my feed till now . Now i want him to feed not any more bt my breast are full of milk and if i dont feed him i feel sever pain in my breasts . Wt should i do ?

Pediatrician, Mumbai
You should stop breastfeeding him and put him on cows milk along with regular diet for age . You will continue to produce breast milk since you have been breast feeding him , hence the pain if you dont express the milk . You can take bromocriptine 2.5mg twice daily for 15 days to suppress milk production . You may take paracetamol 1 tab if pain is severe and also apply hot fomentation to breast . However , bromocriptine causes nausea , so you may need to take some anti acids like Pan 40. 1 tab for 10 days to counter that.

It's usually recurrent viral infections. Some children catch infections very soon as immunity is low below 5 years.

Well this is a behaviour disorder so try to change his surroundings and his friend circle. I assume that he is surrounded by females in house and there is no male friend hence he is interested in more of females jobs. So shift him from that place and make a new friend circle for him.

Sir I am interested in twin babies. What makes the chances of getting twin babies.
Going by natural way, chance are very less of twin pregnancy. But through IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) the chances of twins pregnancies are more.

He dint take milk 4 almost 4 days, due 2 wch milk supply has reduced. If he start sucking again, will it increase? How cn I increase my milk production?

MBBS, MD
Pediatrician, Gurgaon
calories demand increases with activity of child, and 9months is cut of age for increased activity. It may be possible he is more satisfied in term of calories, with semisolid food.thus just give breast 8hourly and try to give more energetics food.keep watch on wait gain.

Fever cough and cold are viral infections 90% of the time and donot warrant clavam, a drug used for severe infections. Kindly see a doctor for examintion and and decide the actual diagnosis. Fever usuall settles in 3to 5 days without antibiotics like clavam and cold and cough improve in one week.

Your schedule is definitely hectic. We usually advice our patients to have 8hrs night rest and 2hrs daytime rest. Try to have a break when you r in office. Baby growth is more when you r beyond 5th month pregnancy so growth is as such not a problem.

When the child cries then the tears drain into the nose. That is why it appears like a cold. No treatment required. Just clean the nostrils.

Hello. Watery stool is unlikely due to the medicine he is taking. More likely due the reason he had fever like viral fever with viral diarrhea. Give plenty of liquids and ors. After every motion give few sips of ors. Practice handwashing of baby before giving any food item in his hand. Outside junk food to be strictly avoided. Keep in mind baby passes 4 to 5 times urine per day.

Get stool routine examination done. If there is no blood or mucous, no severe pain in abdomen, no fever then you can wait without any medication but for ors. If she is active passing urine, taking meals nothing to worry.

Get a urine routine micro investigation to rule out any urinary bleeds. If the baby is asymptomatic then you can wait and watch for another day. If the baby cries during urination or has fever, cries irrtiable then get the investigations of urine and blood as soon as possible with a sonography. Kindly meet your pediatrician for further managment.
