Lybrate-user we all have one or other kind of fear at different times in our life. Feeling of fear is what kept us alert and helped us survive in earlier time of evolution process. Every feeling th8st we feel has some kind of beneficial effect to protact us. Saying that, I would add that fear is also something which at times stops us from growing. In order to understand the triggers and cause behind your triggers. It is best if you consult some behavioural psychologist. He or she will be able to help you overcome your fear. I do believe that fear and courage are two sides of the single coin. Being courageous does not mean than one do not feel fearful. Rather inspite of fear when you choose to act in certain way. That is what is courage. And every one of us have this courage within us. If you are interested in slowly learning the dynamics between fear and courage and to process of change is slow yet rewarding. Hope this helps wishing you very best.

Do not take drastic steps to reduce the weight. My advise for you would be to go for a routine checkup with a doctor along with some investigations so as to diagnose the exact problem if any. You can revert back after the visit to the doctor and inform about all the reports for further guidance. On your part you can start living a healthy lifestyle which means eating wholesome, natural and a balanced diet. Avoid all bad habits. Avoid junk food and processed food in daily diet. Have 2 or more fruits and vegetables in daily diet as they contain low calories and yet will satiate your hunger with lots of nutrients. Drink 10-12 glasses of water or more if you feel thirsty. Sleep for 7-8 hrs daily. Exercise everyday and add yoga as it can help you maintain a consistent metabolic rate and give you strength and stamina. If needed you can take Homeopathy after adapting a healthy lifestyle. You can contact me after a few months for Homeopathic treatment if required.

Check your fasting and post prandial sugar levels along with hba1c to asses the exact glucose levels. Your bp readings are also high. Consult a good diabetologist for further treatment.

Hi I am an 55 year old man and I have done ptca to rca (ira) 0n 19/01/2015 with stenting 95% stenosed (a drug eluting stent [ xience prime] 3.0 x 38 mm. Was deployed at 14 atm. Pressure with very good result and timi-3 flow. I have another blockage of 80% in another lca now what should I eat and drink (red wine or not). And what kind of exercises I can do.

MD - Internal Medicine
General Physician, Bangalore
Hi went through your query. 1. Exercise: start with casual walking at a pace comfortable to you. Do not over exert yourself. After 2 weeks of casual walking slightly increase the pace and keep increasing the pace slightly every 2 weeks. Do daily exercise for at least 30 minutes. Diet: you have not mentioned whether you are hypertensive or diabetic. Assuming you are not I shall advise you the following diet. -- morning after you get up drink at least 1 litre of water (you can add lemon to it) -- try taking green tea/ lemon tea instead on tea or coffee. -- have a satisfying breakfast, let the food be cooked in olive oil or sunflower oil. --- have a light lunch/dinner, increase the intake of vegetables and fruits. Do not go to bed/sleep immediately after lunch/dineer -- avoid non veg food. -- avoid junk food, carbonated drinks, cheese, butter, ghee. -- if you are a regular alcohol consumer only then you substitute whisky/rum/brandy to red wine, but if you are not regular alcohol consumer then no need to take red wine regularly (neither whisky/rum:))

How do I control my blood pressure which rises all of sudden when things goes wrong?

How do I control my blood pressure which rises all of sudden when things goes wrong?
Hi. Blood pressure does not remain constant all the times. It changes as per your bodies requirement. So when you are anxious, angry of worried, your body shows response by increasing your heart rate and bp. This is an absolutely proper response. Bp problem is when your bp remains high even if you are calm and sitting resting. Take care.

My pulse is 84 since one month. Temperature is normal. What is the possible reason. I feel body pain.
Thyroid function (tsh) and an ecg should be checked. Sometimes worry alone may be the cause. Pain sensations may be more in both of these conditions.
