Left upper lobe calcification. My reports when I went for medicals which was required bcoz I wanted 2 travel abroad. The reports came unfit to travel and I did not understand why these reports came as unfit. The doc said there was a spot in the chest X-ray how this spot comes and if it comes how can we treat it. If treatable how much time will it take.

Hello lybrate-user, A old calcified upper lobe lesion in Indian context suggests an old healed lesion of tuberculosis. You may not have an history because your natural immunity may have taken care of the same while you were young. As most countries have been successful in eliminating TB in there countries from being a public hazard, They avoid anyone with such a possibility. No treatment required for the same medically. You may consult your doctor for way out of it and possibilities.

Hi, BP 130/20 is normal only. BP systolic level 120 -139 called as pre hypertension. Can you post correct value of your BP as you mention 130/20 that s not correct one.

1.For your age pain chest could be due to anxiety, stress,Physical and mental strain 2. Avoid stress and strain 3.Do regular exercise, Yoga, Meditation, deep breathing exercise like pranayama etc. It will calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 4 Avoid Alcohol, smoking and tobacco consumption. 5.Take paracetamol 500mg one tablet sos after food up to a maximum of three tablets daily, at the time of chest pain.6. Drink plenty of water and take rest. 7.if you have recurrent attack of chest pain take ECG and consult cardiologist.

No jogging is not safe for you till the time you reduce weight. Heavy body not only puts a strain on lower joints but affects the heart also by making it work extra.

How are you. Friend, there is no good solution in medicines or tablets to lower weight and to lower your cholesterol. Better concentrate on exercises, diet habits etc. Medicines to lower cholesterol are called as statins. Antioxidant medicines come under nutritional products and they are not as effective as other activities that I suggested.

The major dangers of hypertension contributes to apoplexy, paralysis, loss of vision, heart attacks, gangrene, respiratory disorders etc.

Modern medicine is no doubt very beneficial in administration the blood pressure, but we all are well aware of a hidden danger which we all are concerned as the root cause of hypertension cannot be cured just by maintaining blood pressure, because once the body get used to the current dosage, it start to demand more amount or quantity of medicine and there start the trouble. Blood pressure get explode due to either non functioning of medicine or from reverse effects of body mechanism. And these are the situations leading to strokes and other complications in the body.

Apart from the well aware figures we have some other issues which I would like to discuss here:

A) self medication: people continue consume there b. P. Medicines no matter they are working or not just to avoid going to there doctors, people even increase or decrease the dosage without any professional opinion.


B.) sedentary lifestyle: people do eat junk food in huge quantities and avoid any kind of physical works. Even for covering 200 meter distance people prefer to use a two wheeler or even cars


C) alcohol: if contains majority of carbohydrates and hence indirectly contributes in increasing the amount of cholesterol (which is dangerous cause of heart attacks and many diseases - see my previous articles)


D) stress: it may play a very major role, people with high stress tends to have increased level of triglycerides (type of cholesterol) in there body

Hello. Take homoeopathic medicine - schwabe's alpha-coff and glyzyrrhiza glabra 1x - both thrice a day daily for 4 days. Management: - avoid cold drinks and fried food, take healthy food. -avoid exposure to air-conditioner or cold air (wrap a warm stole or muffler around neck). -avoid excessive or rough use of your voice/ shouting. -gargle with warm water and salt 3 times a day and take steam-inhalation once before going to bed. Home remedies for cough: -stir some into some hot tea for comforting cough relief. You can also eat a spoonful of honey before bed to help calm coughs. -warm saltwater gargles help moisturize your throat, which can quiet coughs. -drink peppermint tea to help relieve coughs. -brew a eucalyptus tea by steeping a few fresh or dried eucalyptus leaves in hot water for 15 minutes. Drink this tea up to 3 times a day to help soothe a sore throat and calm coughs. -make a hot ginger tea to help soothe a chronic cough. -turmeric is a traditional cough remedy that many people have found effective for coughs. Try mixing half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk. You can also try turmeric powder and a teaspoon of honey for dry cough.

It's nice to maintain cholesterol levels below normal and they are not harmful, if you have less HDL then try to eat cod liver oil to boost it up as it should be higher.

He can be operated for cataract , these days it is done with help of local anesthesia , a lens is fitted simultaneously. Your doctor will operate on 1 eye at a time , may give a gap of 6 months before next surgery for the other eye.

It may be due to exposure to cold or he may be suffering from lower respiratory tract infection. Needs investigation to reach final diagnosis. Check for other symptoms if any. Meanwhile you may go for medicated oil massage followed by fomentation.
