A colour doppler venous is sufficient to diagnose dvt. You will need to be on anticoagulant therapy. To find out the cause of dvt you need to undergo some blood test like factor v leiden mutation apla homocyatiene levels protein c and s levels etc. Complications are many bit most dangerous for any patient is pulmonary thromboembolism. Surgical treatment is only for removal of thrombus.

How identity breast cancer? Any symptoms on our body? Any home test? Clinical test cost how much?

MBBS, DNB (General Surgery)

Self breast examination should be done by all ladies after the age of 40. Kindly learn the method from a doctor. Self breast examination can lead to early detection of any lump in the breast. Symptoms are lump in breast, nipple discharge, skin changes over breast etc. General symptoms would be weight loss loss of appetite breast pain which may be seen in in many other conditions also. Tests cost would differ from institute to institute. Government hospitals would do it for a minimum. The ideal way to go about it would be to visit a surgeon and get yourself examined and then go ahead with usg and mammography. Based on history and your test results the doctor would advise you further follow up.

I suppose your child is suffering from meningomyelocele. If I am correct then it is best that your child undergoes surgery even if he is asymptomatic. As in future it might lead to complications. But I would leave that call on the surgeon who has seen your child. Surgery does have their own complications but we have to weigh the risk benefit ratio. Surgery if expensive in private can be done in government hospitals at reasonable costs.

I am a 29 year old male who is suffering from pain in the anus. I have had constipation which started this problem. The constipation is gone and the pain has reduced greatly after a few doses of mild lacs and also a local doc advised something for the infection in the anal area which was not visible. I am afraid if I get this back. I want to know how to permanently get rid of this problem.

For painful piles and fissure avoid constipation by drinking plenty of water, decrease meat intake and dal, have good green leafy vegetables. That should prevent recurrence of the problem but risk will always be there. Regarding infection examination would be required.

I have a history of DVT (Year 2006) and SVT (Year 2013) in past. In 2013, I took warfarin 2.5 mg for 3-4 months then stopped. In October 2016 I started feeling pain in my leg but not sure if it has reoccurred. I took advice from a local doctor and he told me to start taking Warf 2.5 mg and ecosprin 150 mg daily for lifetime. Its been 5 months I am doing this. I do not want to continue for lifetime. Please advice.

Need to get yourself evaluated for any underlying genetic abnormality for recurrent dvt. If found you will need to continue warf to maintain your inr between 2-3. Better to consult a surgeon get yourself freshly investigated if not done already and then make an assessment about the future plan of your treatment.

Get your examined to rule out other diagnoses. I would suggest fybogel powder as stool softener for a month plus general lifestyle changes for lifelong which include having plenty of green leafy vegetables 2-3 litres of drinking water regularise your bowel movement schedule avoid excessive straining a during stools avoid excess meat and meat products. Avoid food that causes constipation in you.

If you feel you have given enough trial for ayurveda medication to work then kindly get yourself examined by a surgeon who will advise you accordingly.

Dr. I can feel something hard in my half breast. And very little pain when I press it. What can be this.

MBBS, DNB (General Surgery)

Kindly get your self examined by a general surgeon. Considering your age we need to be on the look for many diseases. Best counselled after thorough examination and investigation.

I am having a small lump with 2cm pus in my right breast. This has happened jst after my delivery when my baby stopped having my feed. please suggest how it can be cure now as its already been more than half month and there is no such improvement.

MBBS, DNB (General Surgery)

Since its been a long time since the lump has appeared and still not regressed better to get your self examined. Lactational mastitis is common and treatable with antibiotics. Avoid breast feeding from the infected breast.
