Eating a piece of cheese after a meal helps in pulling away some of the plaque and leftover tiny food particles from meals. And since it contains calcium, it adds to the health of teeth and bones as well.

Bleeding gums: Bleeding gums are the first sign of gum disease. Gums and bone are the basic foundation for your teeth. So if any of these are having problems means ur support for the teeth is compromised. Routine cleaning proceedure would solve this problem or maybe other modalities of treatment would be nessesary depending on the progress of your gum disease. Please visit your dentist for accurate diagnosis and also to know the stage of your gum disease and for the treatment . Usually the individuals with bleeding gums will not have pain and this stage of the disease gets ignored, which by itself makes it progress towards the higher stage making your treatment more complicated. Please do not self prescribe any medicines. Take it as an emergency and visit your dentist. I hope I clarified your doubt If any more clarifications are needed don't hesitate to contact me. I have three fully impacted wisdom teeth. But they are not infected. From last 6 months I have jaw, throat, ear, tongue & tooth pains. Meanwhile I suffered from throat infection which was due to Enterobacter clocae. I have also reactive lymphnodes in neck. Can impacted wisdom teeth cause all such symptoms?

Hello lybrate-user, wisdom teeth do cause pain in and around teeth and this pain is often referred to jaw, throat and ear. If these wisdom teeth are always causing discomfort and aren't helpfull in biting or chewing food then I would suggest you to go for an intentional extraction of these teeth. I am sure you'll be much more comfortable after it.

Missing Teeth

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Missing Teeth
If you are missing one or more teeth, there are plenty of reasons to correct the problem. For one thing, a large space between your teeth may affect how you speak or eat. Even if it’s not noticeable, a missing molar can affect how you chew. Remaining teeth may shift and in some cases, bone loss can occur around a missing tooth.

With today’s advances, you don’t have to suffer from missing teeth. Here are some options to replace a lost tooth or teeth:

Bridges. Anchored to your adjacent teeth, these can be removable or fixed, depending on your mouth, your dentist’s recommendation and your needs.

Dentures. An option if you’ve lost all or most of your teeth.

Implants. Most similar to a natural tooth.

Talk to your dentist about which option is best for you.

Hello, only pain killers won't help you. If the tooth has started paining badly, you really need a dentist atleast to get some space created between the paining tooth and the tooth touching it. This will prevent the two teeth from contacting and relieve your pain to some extent. If you can't go for complete treatment, have atleast this much done. Avoid hot food and beverages, also avoid chewing from that side.

If the tooth breaks, have the tooth contoured. Fill the crack in. Place a crown on your tooth. If the tooth has been badly damaged and the nerve or pulp is exposed, the dentist may have to perform a root canal to save the tooth. If the tooth has been severely damaged, it may have to be extracted.

Do not use your teeth for doing something other than chewing food. Using them for cracking nuts, removing bottle tops or ripping open packaging can result in chipped or broken teeth.
