Hi, I am 31 years woman, weighing 93 Kgs. Suffering with Plantar fasciitis. Recently I have joined Bokwa classes which is similar to Zumba exercise program. But it involves lot of jumping. I am suffering more pain after the workout in my foot. Though I am wearing proper supporting shoes during the workouts. Hi lybrate-user, any exercise which makes you jump will not allow your planter fasciitis for sure. You need to take break for couple of months from bokwa. Most people have hormonal issue underlying their weight problem and simply doing exercise for 45-60 min per day is not very effective for weight loss. Deciding a diet plan as per your metabolic profile is most effective tool for sustainable weight loss without struggling with hunger or low energy. Avoid all junk food and all sweet food. Low fat diet does not work for majority of people. Eat wholesome nutritious food full of fibers, good quality fat like ghee and coconut etc. Don't focus on calories but on nutritional density and diversity. Simultaneously working on exercise and diet will surely help. Best rate to lose weight is 1/2 kg per week. If that happens, it is least likely to go high again in future. You do not have to do rigorous exercise to lose weight but start with something small. Let us say 8 minute workout. Pick one which you like and can do. Trying to lose weight in very short time will need some form of crash diet. Even if you lose weight doing this kind of crash diet, you will get it all back within no time and all the gain will be mainly fat. Not good for your health. Be gentle and patient with yourself. Demonstrate commitment in your persistent efforts. Make comprehensive change in diet, exercise (low impact, high intesity), sleep and stress in your routine. This is called lifestyle medicine. Despite Thyroxine 150 MCG your thyroid hormone requirement may still not be fulfilled and your latest TSH level will help in that. Hypothyroid states are associated with sluggish bowel functions and may be the cause of constipation. Take enough fiber in diet in form of salads, leafy vegetables, pithy fruits, germinated grains etc.

Hye, Gaining weight requires you to eat more calories than you burn. Although fried or sugary foods are calorie dense, eating them exclusively won’t provide enough nutrition to keep you energetic and healthy. Eating several meals and snacks throughout the day and including nutritious, calorie-dense food will help you gain weight healthfully. Weight gain depends primarily on your genetics, age, weight and activity level. To gain weight, you need to eat more calories than you burn. If you’re not used to eating large quantities of food at one time, you may find it difficult to fit all of your calories into three meals per day. Eating nutritious, calorie-dense foods every two to three hours will help you get your calories in without making you overly full and sluggish. If you tend to forget to eat or are always on the go, bring calorie-dense snacks such as eggs, mixed nuts, fruits and dairy. Nutritious, calorie-dense foods provide essential vitamins and minerals, which promote good health and energy. Adding ghee and cream to foods adds additional calories for very little extra physical bulk. Nuts, fruit juice, masala milk provides crucial nutrients. Meal-replacement shakes and protein powder sound like good options but also remember that unless your diet is not planned sadly they won't help. Weight gain is not about only proteins, but a balance of all nutrients.

Hi. Hair fall is very common now a days in this age group. These are due to hormone changes, stress, lack of sleep, unhealthy diet. Regulate your daily activities, stress, sleep, drink lots of water, eat vegetable and fruits. And do some exercise daily. Apply tugain 5% lotion on scalp. Biotin salt will help. Dandruff is a type of infection of scalp which can be many type. Better is to avoid oil in scalp and wash with any ketoconazole shampoo. It will definitely help you.

50% block may not be corrected but you can give a chance collateral blood vesselsto open up,so far these lying in heart but doing nothing and there are plenty of collateral blood vessels. it is equated to nature doing a bypass surgery giving its own vessels to circulate more blood to the heart by its own vessels instead of grafted vessels. some people do claim about opening up of the blocked vessels by alternate therapies but there are no proofs, no studies carried so far. if sugar levels are controlled you can have all of these or any of these lemon juice plus spoon of honey with warm water on empty stomach every morning & rest of the day. apple cider vinegar diluted with water/juice. pomegranade fruit or juice or dry seeds boiled in water ,a concoction made and a cup taken every day. exercise like walkkng does open up vessels of entire body. massage with machine or with oil does improve blood circulation including heart. better is blood circulation ,more vessels lying low get a chance to open up. good luck.

Dear Lybrate User, Hair growth occurs in cycles. Each cycle consists of a long growing phase (anagen), a short transitional phase (catagen) and a short resting phase (telogen). At the end of the resting phase, the hair falls out (exogen) and a new hair starts growing in the follicle beginning the cycle again. Normally, about 40 hairs reach the end of their resting phase each day and fall out. When more than 100 hairs fall out per day, clinical hair loss may occur. I am 81 years old. MY CARDIAC evaluation showed all normal. But MY Uric acid is 8.29 mg/dl against normal of 3.5 -7.2. My RBC was 5.65 nor being 4.5 -5.5 and the tron content is 37.6 nor 70 - 80. I suggest you to do hot water fermentations that would help you to get relieved from joint pains. I also suggest you to go for good ayurvedic body massage which would help you to get relieved from joint pain and also swimming activity is advisable. But food precautions, it is better to avoid tamarind in the food instead you can add lime or mango. And also avoid eating fried foods.

Eat Like an Olympian and Improve Your Body's Strength

If you have been following the recently held Rio Olympics, you may have been left astounded by the sheer strength, stamina and performance on display. For a strong body that scores high on the stamina meter, it is important to exercise well. But there is one other thing: food. The way one eats, is the way one performs in the physical sense. Ayurveda is an ancient medical science that places special emphasis on the way we eat as this finally dictates the way our bodies react to physical challenges as well as the onset of diseases and aging. Let us find out how we can eat like an Olympian.

  1. High Performance: For high physical performance, Ayurveda places special emphasis on the removal of Ama from the body. Ama are the toxins that build up in one’s body. There are various kinds of food that can lead to a high level of Ama, and other kinds of food that can help in flushing the Ama out of the system. Therefore, it is important to eat food that supports the digestive system in terms of maximum absorption of nutrients and routine elimination of toxins. This is a balancing act of the digestive system and its fires, which are known as Agni in Ayurveda. This process also lowers the stress levels significantly, which in turn has a positive bearing on the way our bodies perform when faced with physical pursuits.
  2. Balance, Strength and Speed: In order to be able to run and perform well within a certain time frame, it is important to build balance and strength. Ayurveda has a number of herbs like Shilajit and Ashwagandha that will help in this process. These kinds of herbs can be used to season salads and other dishes so that one gets a healthy dose of the same. Indian Gooseberry, Persian Rose and Coriander are some of the other herbs that can also be used for this purpose.
  3. Resistance and Endurance: In order to build resistance and endure with full strength, on the playing field, one will need to eat healthy food on a regular basis. As per Ayurveda, it is important to eat your meals in a routine manner and include all food groups within the span of a single day. Fruit, fresh green vegetables, and dairy products are all required for transporting fuel through various parts of the body for good digestion, absorption of nutrients for better energy, and high performance.
  4. Muscle Tone: In order to improve one’s muscle tone, one can have plenty of Amla berry. This is also known as the Indian gooseberry. The muscle tone can also be improved with other vitamin C rich foods.

Hi . What you are getting might be leukorrhea or white discharge. It is normal to have some amount of leukorrhea but excess should be dealt with. Also you will need medicines if it smells .
