Hiiii lybrate-user 1) diet n exercise always go hand in hand so try to keep your diet healthy 2) smtyms one particular exercise we r doing from several of months will nt help your body. Try to add variation in your exercise. As 5 km of just walk. You can convert into walk +jog. Etc 3) do suryanamskar in d morning. Gradually try to increase it 4) eat smthing befor you exercise. Nuts, fruit etc 5) don't eat n sleep late night 6) drink atleast 4 lit of water in summer thanku.

I am a 34 years old female. Since last 2 days I am having pain in my right knee. Just below the knee cap. Inwards.can not fold legs n sit fr more time .if I stand I feel relaxed. But I can not give pressure on right leg n stand. Please advice

At 36 if you had a heart attack followed by stent therapy , take it as a warning to make lifestyle changes , yes you have to take some medicines for life like If BP/ Sugar is high , control with help of medicines , if you are given blood thinners like Aspirin & medicines to reduce cholestrol like statins- doctors are divided on this , My own suggestion is take nature in your stride and do not take above medicines for life due to side effects on liver/ kidney/ tendency to bleed more from any site from brain to stomach. Reduce cholesterol by eating less of diet rich in bad fats like fried items, do take good fats like a katori of nuts , all variety like few soaked and peeled almonds . cashew nuts , wallnuts , pistachios , peanuts or even just peanuts. eat more seasonal fruits & vegetables both raw and cooked with very little fat. Remember no oil is Zero cholesterol as advertised on TV, use mustered oil and thick based iron karahi with cover to cook food through steam, not through frying. Use tomato puree to thicken the gravies. Walk a lot , this is the simplest exercise , Avoid smoke and pollution as low levels of oxygen in air can trigger a heart attack. Remain stress free , get Lipid profile and Echo test done at least once in a year and If you are Symptom free , Do not Remind yourself again and again that You are a Cardiac patient .

Suffering From Depression - Here Is What You Can Do?

Are you suffering from depression and it is hampering your daily life and activities? Are you so sad and preoccupied that you cannot focus on the brighter side of life? Depression is capable of causing great stress, anxiety and can even make you suicidal. There are many ways by which you can cure depression, and get back to a healthy life, with a healthy and untroubled mind. They are as follows:

  1. Stay in touch with people: You must not withdraw from everyday life and isolate yourself. This actually makes things worse for you. Instead, you should socialize and keep in touch with people. This will enable you to share your feelings with others and improve your mood.
  2. Stay active: Depression may make you tired and stressed, and you may not feel like getting up. However, you should stay active by taking up some form of workout. This is likely to improve your state of mind. Start with walking for 20 minutes every day, if you have not been in touch with regular exercise for a long time.
  3. Stand up to your fears: Instead of succumbing to your fears and avoiding them, you need to face them strongly. When feeling low and stressed out, it is likely for you to avoid other people, abstain from going out, or travelling. If you face such situations, do not give in to them. Instead try to oppose them.
  4. Do not drink too much: Alcohol may seem like a good solution for keeping away from your depression and negative thoughts. However, you must not drink excessively for coping with your problem, as this is capable of making you even more depressed instead of solving your problem. Alcohol should be avoided in depression as it is a CNS depressant and may worsen depression. Exercise increases endorphins and BDNF which are natural mood elevators.
  5. Maintain a healthy dietWhen you are suffering from depression, it is likely for you to develop food aversion, which might result in undesirable weight loss. Some people find a resort in food and become overweight by overeating. Several medicines for treating depression also affect your appetite negatively. If you want to avoid the extremes of eating more or eating less, you need to consult a GP and get an ideal diet chart, which will keep you healthy.
  6. Get a professional treatment: In case your depression does not improve and if you feel like harming yourself, it is important for you to talk to your doctor. There are several treatment procedures for depression, which include talk therapy, self-help measures, and anti-depressant medicines.

There are plenty of ways by which you can get over depression. You should start making some major changes to your regular lifestyle, make a daily routine for yourself, and try to realize that both good and bad are a part of life, which you cannot change or avoid. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Psychiatrist.

hi for abdomen pain, first of all you should follow some basic thing 1.avoid=hot and cold at time 2.less the sugar as much as possible if you want to eat sweet take juggery which is black 3.dont drink water after meal drink at the time of meal sip by sip up to 150 ml 4.avoid late nght sleep take fomllowing medication 1.shankha vati 1 tab before lunchand dinner 2.triphala kadha 4 tsp before lunch and dinner

Dear lybrate user, apply lemon juice and do massage for ten minutes and hold it for half an hour and wash it. Do not rub and scratch the acne. Do it for 15 days. Report back.

Take pranacharya medohar rasayn twice a day. Medohar guggul 2-2 twice a day. And pranacharya slim capsule 1-1 twice a day. .avoid junk food. Oily food. Fermented food. Alcohol consumption. Sugar.milk products and sweets. Take oats and cereals more. And do pranayama early in the morning and walk for atleast 45 minutes a day. And do exercises. Do not sleep immediately after taking meal.
