Hi, I am both a registered dietitian and a doctor who will help you in losing your weight as well as solve your other health problems through a dietary therapy. Let me know your food intake details. The best diet is one which is healthy and well balanced with foods from all the food groups, and one which is varied and that you can stick to weight loss on some diets can be dramatic in the short term, but there's more of a chance of rebound weight gain. Set yourself a realistic target and aim to lose between (0.5-1.0kg) a week I being a registered dietitian strongly accommodate the patients own preferences without the patient feeling that they are on a diet not compromising the weight management goals. Don't fall for self dieting or fad diets availiable online they have harmful effects in the long run, if you lose a lot of weight very quickly, you may not lose as much fat as you would with a more modest rate of weight loss. It seems to be due to wax and as wax is removed by using ear drop so Consult ENT doctor and if wax can not removed by drop, a small procedure name syringing is required for removal of wax

Masturbation is just an alternative to actual sexual intercourse. There is no medical evidence to suggest that it causes any health harm or long term sexual side effects on health. However since it is an instant stress relieving exercise, many people get psychologically dependent of it for relieving anxiety and stress. That may become a worry later on. Hence it would always be expected to find healthier alternatives to allay sexual anxiety and not just masturbate always. If you feel you are already addicted and unable to control the urge to masturbate always, you should consider starting some treatment along with learning alternative modes of relaxation.

Hello lybrate user, back pain has many causes like age related degenerative changes in the spine, trauma leading to bony fractures or even soft tissue injuries, tumors of the spine etc. In younger patients back pain is commonly due to slip disc, muscle spasm, infections like tuberculosis or rarely due to some congenital abnormality of the spine or spinal deformities. You have to understand that this is just a small list of causes related to the spine. Sometimes problems of the chest or abdomen can also cause pain to be felt in the back. Childhood injuries, I would think is a very rare cause of back pain as minor injuries in children heal very well. Injuries severe enough to cause pain now would have a single episode in the past where you could point out your similar severe symptoms specifically. For a complete assessment, I would suggest, you see an orthopaedician or a spine surgeon.

Masturbation twice per week is healthy. Masturbation should be done when there is no time limit and there is no fear that someone while doing so will catch them. Use start and stop technique in masturbation.

1. Take paracetamol 500mg, 1 tablet as and when required after food up to a maximum of 3 tablets daily, 2. Drink plenty of waterl 3. Take adequate rest 4. Have adequate sound sleep in the night for 7-8 hours if you have recurrent attack of headache1. It could be a tension headache due to anxiety/stress, depression inadequate sleep, low bp/high bp, migraine, prolonged use of cell phone/computer, chronic anaemia, refractive error, chronic sinusitis, organic brain lesion 2. Avoid stress, physical and mental exertion, have adequate sound sleep for 7-8 hours daily in the night 3. Go for regular exercise 4. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control your emotion and relieve stress 5. Check for refractive error, sinusitis hemoglobin, bp 6. Avoid prolonged use of cell phone/computer 7. Consult neurologist to rule out other causes of headache, if required take a ct scan of head to exclude any brain lesion 8. If it is migraine you have to take migraine prophylactic drug after consulting neurologist 9. Consult me for further advice.

There are several things you can do to prevent a cold?they are all easy and inexpensive and worth the effort. Wash your hands often-with soap and warm water.The germs stick to the soap and get washed down the drain. Always wash your hands after coughing or sneezing into your hands, blowing your nose, after touching someone who is sick, or when using public restrooms or telephones. Cover Your Mouth and Nose When You Sneeze or Cough- Clean your hands every time you cough or sneeze. Avoid Touching Your Eyes, Nose, or Mouth-Germs are often spread when a person touches a contaminated surface and then touches their eyes, nose, or mouth. Stay Home When You?re Sick-Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, don?t smoke, manage stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food so you can fend off viruses. In general you should: -Take healthy balanced diet...like boiled eggs.daily in breakfast .. -Avoid people who have a cold or cold symptoms. -Routinely clean and disinfect common areas of your home. -get plenty of rest so your body can use its energy to fight the cold -staying at home will keep you from spreading germs -drink plenty of liquids like herbal tea or hot broth/vegetable/tomato soups. Avoid foods or drinks with caffeine which can keep you from getting enough sleep -Runny Nose and Sneezing- if you have post nasal drip, gargle to keep from getting a sore throat. Drink extra fluids. (avoid sugary and high calorie drinks) -Use saline nasal sprays or nasal irrigation ? Tablet Nasorest-P once/twice daily may reduce the amount of mucous. ? Do steam inhalation once or twice daily Treatment:There is a gradual 1-3 day onset of symptoms. It often starts out as a sore throat, then a fever and coughing. As the cold progresses, the nasal mucus may thicken which is the last stage before the cold dries up. A cold usually lasts for a week or two. But, taking good care of yourself at home can relieve symptoms and help prevent complications if you are otherwise healthy. Unless you develop complications, you shouldn?t need medical treatment. Complications include bacterial infections of the ears, throat, sinuses or lungs which must be treated with antibiotics. Cough-Coughing is how your body gets rid of debris and mucus from the airways during a viral infection. Unless your cough is severe or is keeping you from resting at night, it is better not to treat it. A severe cough can be treated with a cough syp, but don?t try to completely stop the cough. There are two types of coughs. Productive and non-productive or dry cough. Non-productive, dry cough. A dry, hacking cough may develop near the end of a cold. Dry coughs that follow viral colds are often worse at night and can last up to several weeks. Take syrup Alex-D for a dry cough. Cough drops can sooth an irritated throat, but most don?t affect the cough. Productive cough. A productive cough is one that brings up mucus from the back of the throat or the lungs. Productive coughs should not be suppressed to the point they no longer bring up mucus. Use syrup Alex. Drink lots of water if you have a productive cough. Head and Body Aches- Take tablet dolo-650 mg for fever once or twice daily

Hello lybrate-user, pain in the stomach may be due to indigestion of food you have taken last night. Or due to gastric trouble. Have nux vomica 200 twice today with a gap of 8 hours. Greying of hairs means your some pathological changes, this is mainly due to the loss pigment from your hair protein. Use less chemical for hairs. Homoeopathic medicine are useful in it. Report accordingly.

Sir, My problem is hairfall and dandruff, I used so many shampoos, I also used keto - z shampoo, after using the shampoos my scalp feel very happy for 2 days after this the next day my scalp will get severe irritation. When I applying oil hairfall will occur I think 40-50 hairs will fall approximately. Iam doing head bath every 2 days. And now I applying neem oil to my hair and leaving it for 2 hours on head bath days and I am using aloevera shampoo. Iam going to gym daily evng. After my workout I eat 5 boiled egg whites daily and 2 chapatis. Please sir can you suggest what I have to do now to stop dandruff and hairfall pls. Please note the following for your condition: the head should be massaged slowly with oil or shampoo while bathing or cleaning hairs resulting blood circulation becomes fast and the skin of the head is protected from dryness. Shampoo should be used only two times a week. Hairs should be washed with curd for removing dandruff. Spicy or fried foodstuffs should not be eaten. Excessive cream or jell should not be applied on hairs. Thanks.

Hello. I have a problem. I've been exercising for 2 months now and I've lost some weight and I've seen a difference in my stomach. It's not completely flat , but its not as high as it was before. My stomach goes up every time I eat and it doesn't come down until after days of exercise and as a result of that I hardly eat, I mean I eat, but it's not much, its like 1 meal with a little fruit here and there and I drink lots of water. I'm afraid if I eat my stomach will go up . A few days ago. I ate something. It wasn't anything big. Something small and then my stomach went up and its big right now. I've been exercising and it still won't go down. It wasn't like this before. It just sucks because just when I think I'm making progress in my weight loss journey , this happens. What do you think I should do?

Hi Lybrate User, As per your height and weight ratio.. Your BMI comes to 32.6 which falls in Obese Category. You need to work to bring it down to about 70 which is possible through better eating habits and regular exercise.. Aim to bring down about 2 kgs per month. Avoid looking at your stomach every moment. The stomach size will go up and down during the day. Avoid doing crash diets as you seem to be doing now. Crash diets will lead you to eating more junk food. Please refer to a dietician and start with a proper Nutrition plan + an Exercise plan. Don't expect daily results... Have patience.. bit by bit you can be fit...

Hello Doctors, I have pcos and took metformin and clomid in this cycle. On day 7, size of foĺlicle was 5.8 mm and my weight was 64.7 kg. On day 13 size of follicle was 10 mm and weight was 65.7. I am really surprised that how weight got increased 1 kg in 1 week. Earlier my weight was reducing because of metformin. please tell what is issue with weight and size of follicle is ok or not. please help. Its really depressing.

Hi lybrate user Folicular size is not normal for 13 days. you may require higher dose of clomid or gonadotrophins to increase follicular size, Weight may be increase because some other reason like eating/ less exercise . Thanks
