Measures To Reduce Hair Loss Diet rich in vitamins, minerals esp fruits & green leafy vegetables should be included in maximum regular exercise, yoga, avoid hair dyes, avoid washing hair frequently, avoid vigorous scalp massage/brushing. Homoeopathic Aspect of hairfall- Homoeopathy has a lot to offer in hairfall but it requires some time. Following medicines are useful in treating hairfall - Lycopodium, Graphites, Thuja, Phosphoric–acid, Selenium, Mancinella, Fluoric–acid, Can notharis, Phosphorus, China, Sepia. Caution– avoid self medication as detailed history is required in each & every case. Thus Homoeopathy along with proper diet & regimen, regular exercises would prove to be a great ray of hope for the patients of alopecia or hair–fall.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome

Delayed or irregular menses, absent menses for various months and prolonged menses, all these are indications of an endocrine disorder known in medical terms as Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).

The symptoms of the syndrome are acne, irregular or absent periods, obesity, hirsutism (excessive growth of bodily hair) and infertility. Not all patients have every symptom. In fact, some people are not overweight.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is curable with the homeopathic mode of treatment. Homeopathic treatment for Polycystic ovarian syndrome is very safe and free from any side effect. Which homeopathic medicine is required to extract the disease from its roots varies from case to case.

In this way live your life moment by moment and day by day .Focus on the present and enjoy all that you pass through. Make friends with those with whom you share common interests. Take suggestions from your close friends or relatives. Make sure you eat food moderately and do some physical exercises. Do write back if you want any further assistance .Wishing you all the best. Quality of my hairs is very thin right now what should I do to improve my hairs quality?

B.Sc. - Dietitics / Nutrition, Nutrition Certification,Registered Dietitian
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Delhi
Quality of my hairs is very thin right now what should I do to improve my hairs quality?
Quality of the hair can be improved by - 1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home) 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like Egg, Yougurt and Lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5. Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 6. You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 7. You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain ph balance of your hair. 8. Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. 9. Drink lots of water to flush out toxins from the body.

Dear lybrate user... Stress management involves having a healthy diet usually high in protien, having a daily exercise for 30 mins which can be chosen by you as per your interest (jogging, swimming, cycling, jimming, skipping), a good sleep in the night. Along with this good sleep hygiene practices and decreasing stressful lifestyle helps. Good sleep hygiene involves having fixed sleep-wake schedule, not having coffee, tea or cold drinks after 5 in evening, usually not working in bright lights late in night, not using the sleeping bed for anything else other than sleeping and not doing anything interesting at the bedtime.Bringing compassion for other people and the nature around you can also help you decreasing the stress and live healthy. Other than this there are allopathy medications which helps you increasing concentration and help providing the brain good nourishment. Get in touch for further help.

It is VERY difficult for a diabetic since 10 years, to reduce his blood sugar levels by diet control alone. I strongly recommend that you take medicines too, under a doctor's supervision.

I am 22 years old. My weight is 65 kg and my height is 4.10 inch. How can I loose weight in 20kg. please send a perfe...
You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. For a start please follow: 1. Cut down the excess carbs. If you want to lose weight you should start by avoiding sugar and starch (like bread). A low carb diet reduces your hunger and makes it easier to eat less. And it might even increase your fat burning at rest. 2. Don’t skip meals. Skipping meals will not make you lose weight faster. That strategy backfires because your body thinks food is in short supply, so it slows your metabolism in order to conserve energy. Over time, the result is that when you do eat — even if you consume the same foods as always — your body will be slower to use the calories as fuel, thus creating a backlog of unwanted pounds. 3. Stay hydrated. You've heard it before, and you'll hear it again. That's because drinking 64 ounces of water daily is one of the easiest ways to speed up weight loss. Your body needs water in order to efficiently metabolize stored fat. When you shortchange your supply, you're likely to slow down that process, meaning it's more difficult for you to burn calories. An easy eight glasses a day (at least!) will keep your system running smoothly. 4. Start exercising. Strength training builds lean muscle tissue, which burns more calories — at work or at rest — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The more lean muscle you have, the faster you'll slim down. How do you start strength training? Try some push-ups or a few squats or lunges. Use your free weights to perform simple biceps curls or triceps pulls right in your home or office. Do these exercises three to four times per week, and you'll soon see a rapid improvement in your physique. 5. Go for an evening walk. An evening activity may be particularly beneficial because many people's metabolism slows down toward the end of the day. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity before dinner increases your metabolic rate and may keep it elevated for another two or three hours, even after you've stopped moving. What that means for you: Those dinner calories have less of a chance to take up permanent residence on your hips. 6. Take adequate rest. You should also make an effort to get enough good sleep, preferably every night. Strive to wake up refreshed of your own accord, independently of the alarm clock. If you’re the kind of person who always gets brutally woken up by the alarm ringing, you might never be giving your body adequate rest. 7. Supplement vitamins and minerals. Nutrient-dense, good food is certainly the foundation of weight loss. But an adequate amount of vitamin D can be difficult to ingest via food. In the case of a lack of sun (such as during the darker months of autumn and winter), it’s wise to supplement for multiple health reasons – and perhaps even for your weight.

Laser Hair Removal Or Laser Hair Reduction

MBBS, MD (Skin & V.D. MAMC) - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Delhi
Laser Hair Removal Or Laser Hair Reduction

Most of us especially females who are keen for laser hair services are confused on this aspect of lasers. The big question in their mind is that the money I m spending on laser hair services is worth it or not. Most of the centers who dont have much knowledge about working principle of lasers would say or commit that one would be totally hair less on the area which laser hair machine procedure is done. Some people may also note that laser hair services are mostly done by technicians who have little or no knowledge about the machine they are handling and infact they are also not taught about basics of laser hair machine.

If a lower than optimal dose is given by this machine it may cause paradoxical hair stimulation in that area or area around the procedure. So a proper dose and tolerance equilibrium has to be done by the opeartor. Females with harmonal imbalance may respond different from females who have normal hormonal profile and hence the results would vary from patient to patient. A non usfda machine is as dangerous as any ekectrical equipment without isi control mark. The lasers ideally should be infact compulsory should be usfda approved to judge its quality and performance. The laser machine should have fluence suited for indian skin and laser should be having a chiller tip for best results

Non hormonal dependent areas like legs or arms may respond better than face area which has maximum control because of hormonal profiles. Pregnancy, stress, medication, thyroid or anaemia has a definitive control over hair cycle and hair growth
Dark black coarse and thick hair respond better than thin and blonde hair
Pigmented area with light fine hair may show less response
Areas with white hair may not respond at all. So its better to get hair reduction before you have white hair to have maximum advantage
Lasers like diode laser respond best to asian and indian skin as they have wavelength best suited for indian skin

Sir/Mam, Before some day's feeling lazy. I feel sleeping during day please help me out. Thank you.

Sir/Mam,
Before some day's feeling lazy. I feel sleeping during day please help me out.
Thank you.
Hi, get your blood tested for cbc, hb%, s. Calcium, s. Ferritin and esr. Simple nutritional deficiency can cause general weakness of the body. Would advise you to take homoeopathic medicines - alfaalfa tonic and five phos. - both thrice daily, and let me know about your condition after a month. Management: daily intake more of healthy, nutritious and balanced food which includes green vegetables, seasonal fruits, salads, legumes, pulses, eggs, milk & milk products, oats, cornflakes, muesli, nuts, lean meat (chicken & few seafood), etc. Keep yourself well-hydrated by taking at least 10-12 glasses of water in a day, also increase intake of other fluids like coconut water, shikanji, jaljeera, gulkand, rooh-afza, lassi, curd, etc. Which has got cooling effect on the body during this hot summer weather. Sleep for 6-9 hrs at night and 1-2 hrs. During daytime. Avoid going out or playing under the sun, best time is after sunset. Wear a hat with broad brim, wear sunglasses whenever you are out in the sun. Don't awake late nights, follow motto of'early to bed, early to rise' avoid unnecessary exertion or stress.
