Every morning when I wake up I feel heaviness in my head. The heaviness generally occurs in the right half of my head. Due to this heaviness I generally have slight to severe headache in the morning hours. I feel a typical weakness in my head and sleepy in the morning hours till 3 pm. The situation improves after 3 pm. The situation in the morning hours so severe that I sometimes I fell asleep while working in the office. During sleepy hours my eyes are watery also. Dear your symptoms are descriptive of what we call as obstructive sleep apnea. Check whether you are snoring from your family members as you may not be aware of. You are overweight and it contributes to the above. This condition disturbs sleep at night and hence you feel heaviness in head after waking up and feel sleepy in the working hours. Stop alcohol if any start doing regular walking check complete hemogram and TSH and sugars check your blood pressure all these are must finally for confirmation you need sleep study (poly somnography) which confirms your problem. With positive attitude you get these tests and I will guide accordingly.

Long standing diabetes causes problems with peripheral nerves - called diabetic neuropathy. Sensations get affected, leading to a feeling that one is walking some soft bed or something of that sort. Do you also have any sensory loss, or altered sensation in feet, around toes etc? get a proper assessment of the sensory affection by a bithesiometer examination, plus use proper fitting foot wear and avoid injuries to the foot. Plus keep excellent sugar control. Seek advice of your physician early.

You should be happy that your diabetes is controlled since last 6 years and your weight is almost constant since last 1 year. For increasing weight you have to take high calory diet which may disturb your blood sugar levels, even if you are so eager to increase your weight discuss it with your doctor because you are taking Ayrvedic medicine, he will be the right person to guide you.

Sugar is used as a natural exfoliant for skin. It is one of the best home remedies to get rid of stretch marks. Take a tablespoon of sugar. Add some drops of almond oil and lemon juice in it. Stir it well and apply directly on the stretch marks. Rub it for 8-10 minutes and then, take a shower. Continue to use it for one month or so, until the stretch marks gets fade out.

Dear lybrate user, increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. A. Breakfast (Between 8-10 a. M) – Have oats/porridge or brown bread with milk and nuts. B. At 11 a. M - Cup of Green Tea c. Mid day meal (around 12 p. M) – Have a bowl of fruits. Citrus fruits are best taken during this hour and absorb well in the body. Have oranges, amla, pineapple etc during this hour. D. Lunch (between 2-3 p. M) – Daal, roti, mix veg, buttermilk and salad. Kindly consult a dentist in person for further suggestion. We need more investigations with clinical examination to decide upon treatment. You may need root canal treatment. Until then apply clove oil on the decayed tooth. Rinse frequently with mouth wash. Advise c. Amox 500mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Metrogyl 400mg 1-1-1, thrice daily, t. Imol 1-1-1, thrice daily (contraindicated in conditions with gastric ulcer, asthma, wheezing, allergy), c. Becosules 1-0-0 once daily all for 3 days only. Advance procedures can be done with laser. Dental tips: - visit a dentist every six months for cleaning and a thorough dental check-up. Limit sugary food to avoid tooth decay. Gargle your mouth thoroughly after every meal. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months.

Hello- yes precum contains sperms and can cause accidental pregnancy. Try to change your condom brand and do not apply extra lubrication or oil on the condom as it might react with condoms lubricant and can cause burning. >certain chemicals in condoms help you delay your ejaculation.

1. Controlling your diet and exercising regularly is the key to losing weight. Taking the following could also help in accelerating the weight loss process: taking pranacharya medohar rasayan (1-1) twice a day; taking medohar guggul (2-2) twice a day; pranacharya slim capsule (1-1) twice a day. 2. It is advisable to avoid junk, fried, fermented or oily food. You should also avoid the intake of alcohol, sugar, dairy products. 3. You should increase the intake of oats and cereals. You should incorporate a walk of at least 45 minutes in your daily regime and prayanama every morning. It is advised not to sleep immediately after taking a meal.

Mr Manjunath, Along with taking appropriate medicines are exercising regularly for more than 1 hour a day? That is vey important as it increases Insulin action and helps reduce resistance to its action. Plus taking a balanced and restricted diet providing exact calories based on Ideal Body Weight, blood sugar levels and extent of daily exercise. These measure are also equally essential. Plus there may be a need to have a re look at present treatment and additional therapy may be needed.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3months. Revert.

You have Phimosis, which in your age, the foreskin should still be forming so may be easy to treat. Stretching exercises, when erect just pull it back as far as it will go and hold for 5 mins. Do this a few times daily.. in the shower helps, and you should see results within days/weeks. Could also try, if its possible to pull back a bit, pull it back, grab the glans( top cap of penis) with two fingers and roll the foreskin up over the two fingers as far as it will go (when the ring of skin turns white). hold it there for 5 mins. Lubricant helps with this!. . It's fairly common, and this should help. Also try rubbing vitamin E around the top and inside the foreskin, which may help elasticate it. If it's more serious, you may need a preputialplasty (alternative to circumcision but with no loss of looks, senstivity or anything, and is less painful with a fast recovery rate. With a preputialplasty:they make a small incision vertically then horizontally in your foreskin, and stitch it up to have more space for your glans to appear without a total circumcision. But with exercise for 5 minutes daily it will be ok.

Hi, I checked up. 18 Ounces per day of Dahi recommended by you equals to 510 grams plus. Do you really mean that much curd? 2ndly, an Ayurveda doctor told me recently that curd is not good for the body, though he said that if at all, it is better to take lassi or chhaachh, i.e. To make one glass of lassi of 400-450 ml, you need about 100 gm of curd and add plain water to it, shake and take. 3rdly, he said that while lassi can be taken upto lunch time or even upto say 4 -5 pm, it should not at all be taken after 6 pm and particularly at dinner time. Kindly comment and enlighten me.

I would say 100-250 gm curd per day should be fine for an average person. As for which food to take at what time. Please understand this fact that different people will tell you different things. Different streams of medicine has different beliefs. But I have seen that mostly people rush to Allopathic doctors despite believing in different things at home. You can take curd any time of the day it will not harm.

I have been getting eruptions on my forearm, chest and inner thighs. When consulted with doctors I was diagnosed with Tinea cruris. When I consume sebifin tablet and apply the ointment it vanishes. But after a short while it reoccurs and spreads viciously. I have also don't a fungal skin scraping test and the results were negative. I feel there is more to this than just a superficial skin problem. Look forward to suggestions or recommendations of any medicine.

Hello, since you are from a humid place like Mumbai, there is a high chance it can be a tinea infection. Koh mount scraping test has to be done by a dermatologist and scrapings have to be taken from edge of lesion and provided you are not on any medications for 2 weeks. If not then go for a fungal culture. And to avoid recurrence, use antifungal powders regularly. Avoid any moisture in the affected areas.
