Hello dr, I am suffering from hypothyroidism and have been taking eltroxin 100 mg for last 4 yrs. My tsh level has always been above 6 except once. What should I do to get this in the normal range. Please advise.

IN HYPOTHYROIDISM:--- where there is deficiency of thyroxine hormone leading to sluggishness, tired feeling, weight increase, slow heart beats, intolerance to cold, swelling of legs, feet and face, difficulty in concentrating and at times in speech. Treatment for hypothyroidism is giving thyroxine tablets. And dose are according to level of thyroid for life time. Avoid bad habits . Avoid stress. Some Relax during work. Go for walk, Take plenty of water, high-carbohydrate foods such as potatoes, rice, pasta and bread. Nutrient-rich foods that improve your health may also benefit your thyroid gland, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables more plenty of water: Blueberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and other foods rich in antioxidants can improve overall health and benefit the thyroid gland. Eating foods high in B vitamins, like whole grains, may also help. flax oil, Selenium: Tiny amounts of selenium are needed for enzymes that make thyroid hormones to work properly. Eating selenium-rich foods, such as sunflower seeds or Brazil nuts, can be beneficial. Tyrosine: This amino acid is used by the thyroid gland to produce T3 and T4. Taking a supplement may help, avoid oily foods,junk foods, go for walk. Do Tests every 3 to 6 months. And consult doctor on time.

Please follow the below recommendation for your conditions: Bananas are full of calories and contain high amount of carbohydrates and potassium that give you instant energy. Whosoever want to gain weight must eat a banana daily in the morning with a glass of warm milk. Add a teaspoon of sugar in it. Moreover, you can also have it after your meals. Note – Don’t eat bananas when you are down with common cold.

I am currently in job and have been working for long hours and because of that could not concentrate on my family and work which I need to do at home, this caused be headache and tensions resulted in migraine and I have started taking medicines from homeopathy based in Connaught place and doctors have suggested me to exercise daily and eat 3 types of food daily. I have been doing this for past 4 months but my situation is same and I am not able to focus and that is resulting in suffering work of family and as well as of office. Now I need to know what should I do to ensure that I will remain fit and fine as I already tried to get treatment and actually got one but I did not got cured, rather the problem continued and I am still the Same person as I was before I took the treatment, please do recommend me the right solution. I dnt want to get involved in fraud again and waist my money.

Hi for reduced weight you should work out as per you consume calories and it will take time just continue work out. Take following remedies for loosing weight 1. Arogya vardhini vati 2 tab before lunch and dinner 2. Abhayarishta 4 tsp before lunch nad dinner 3. Morning break fast=mung dal green soup 1 boul and if feel hunger have pomegranate or apple 4. Lunch 2 chaati + fruit vegetable + if you like rice 1 bowl and dal + barley soup 5. Evening 4-5 pm have some milk with sunth or any fruit you like 6. Dinner barley soup 2 bowl and one fruit follow this diet you will get reduced weight.

Ask him to join singing class. He will be changed slowly. Thats good Do not expect things fast. Do something where he needs to speak or ask him to be a teacher in a coaching centre. Only 6 months. Then see the result.

Dear excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, It can put a person at risk of thyroid disease, diabetes , kidney problems, arthritis etc... Dear to decrease weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach daily. 3. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 4. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 5. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 5 min per asana. 6. Do brisk walk early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 7. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 8. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice. 9. Drink three litres of water daily.

Mr Srinivasa Rao, The very fact that sugar (blood glucose) level is going out of control, is a sign of ill health. Because persistent hyperglycemia affects every single vital organ in the body like eyes (retina), small & large blood vessels, kidney, heart, lower limbs, peripheral nerves and lipid metabolism etc. leading to serious long term complications. So my suggestion is please see that blood glucose level is brought under a strict control. There is no other option. Otherwise, suddenly some complication may come up without warning. Thanks.

Dear, its not only food which will help you in achieving your goal, but exercise will be too important. Go for a well balanced diet of veggies and fruits, grains and pulses. If you are non vegetarian include eggs, chicken and fish in your diet. If vegetarian then add soya, tofu, paneer in your daily diet.
